Next time you fly, read the back of your ticket and you'll be surprised at the fine print you accepted by purchasing that ticket.

OP entered a contract with the airline when he bought the ticket, they promised to him and he promised to provide the necessary travel documents. OP did not do that.

Again, no violation. OP is free to sue if he believes otherwise.

He was specifically asked to get a transit visa but came back with a letter. Are those the same?

Gate agents don't make the policy. The letter would have had to go to the airlines head office and then the revised policy sent to all the airport offices.

OP did not do his homework and has no legal leg to stand on.

If he does sue, which he won't, he should post the verdict.

The good thing is that he finally told you. He could have had the child at some point he was busy exploring however, that doesn't make him a bad person. My advice to you is to search your heart and see if you can cope with the reality since you have always had it in mind not to marry someone who already has a child.
