skydancer: Exactly, I never really thought about it that way. If the Nigerian police starts to jail all these local places where they sell pirated software, it will reduce vastly. I guess the problem is because we are not rich enough to buy these softwares, if Nigeria could focus on developing our ICT sector a bit, not only will we be able to make cheaper softwares which our own citizens can buy, but we will also encourage developers and create more employment for youths. Gbam. !. |

While I'm in no support of the "pastor", I strongly think this and similar "petitions" like these are utter nonsense which would terribly fail.
There are so many things which should rank higher on the Government's to-do list, which haven't been touched.
This online petition would not go anywhere.

Maleeq: Keyword "enforced law", but there exists a law against it.
Many who pirate software are fully aware of the legalities, though they are able to rationalize continuing the practice. Some have difficulty understanding the distinction between freeware, shareware and commercial software.
Software piracy is illegal. Each pirated piece of software takes away from company profits. This would best be understood if you are into software development. I am into Software Development. This doesn't change my stance on illegal downloads in Nigeria |

1025: @mobinga, every news will end up as a good one to some while to others, it will be a bad one. i am among those celebrating the death of this evil man so choose your side. when abacha died, we all celebrated but when yar adua died, some did while others did not. if , dies tomorrow, we will celebrate the end of fuel subsidy removal. in case you are still not ready to understand, you can try and hug a functional transformer. let this die so that some lives will be saved. in the same manner, anyone that will lead nigeria to lost of lives, let that one die today and tomorrow so that we will gather here to celebrate. In essence your saying its okay for the mods to head a thread, Ojukwu is dead. Thank God. It's offensive to one out of two parties. There should be neutrality. This just personifies the unintelligence of most Nigerians. |

There are no enforced laws against it in Nigeria. Continue the downloading. |

Theblessed: Is that the person Nigerians idolate as a true man of God?
Is this truely a man of God? Did Jesus slap any of the demon possessed people during his Ministry? Even the one that had a legion of demons living inside him-Jesus was compassionate towards them all. So, what is this Oyedepo teaching us, here? To slap the sick, instead of helping them, is it?
Deviating from pastoring the flock to brutalising the flock?
Oh, sorry - man of God!
So, by slapping a demon possessed, you rid them off the demons? Jesus did not teach that, did he?
This behaviour only showed how wicked and intolerant this man is. In behaving this way, goes to show he does not understand his role at all.
Abusing vulnerable people that needs spiritual support from him only portrays him, as an anti-christ because, that's against the teachings of Jesus Christ - if you're not with the Lord, you're against him. You see, Oyedepo had forgotten that even the demon possessed woman, is also a child of God and that, Jesus came for them kind.
Now tell me, how could anyone with similar difficulty present themselves for help in his Church, I wonder!
An agressive man will always be agressive - no matter his orientation.
Shut up. All this nonsense write-up and you don't know how to spell "agressive". |

So the mods saw it fit to say "North Korea's problem has finally died. Yay".
That is not only senseless, but moronic. It's not everybody that feels happy about someone else's death. Now please have some common sense and put up a humane title. |
