If my memory serves me right that road has long been in a bad state. Though his trucks eventually murdered it beyond repair. I wonder does he even pay anything for using the mineral resources? He seems more interested in being world richest than doing more to developed our country.
Nope! The road may not have been the best thing after sliced bread but it was motorable, you could do 100 without fear then...

The road didn't become craters till trailers carrying 600-900 bags of cement became a permanent fixture...

Why do the government's duty if it won't give you anything in return? He's a smart businessman. Nothing goes for nothing!

Moreover, his business spoilt the road nah & make a nor lie, bad belle join... just make person travel time increase for nothing! smiley

God knows I don't have anything against his person or business ventures but how he gets "lucky" with every successive government is a source of mystery!!

He should have fixed that road long before now!! That road shaved off more than 90mins of travel time between Abj and the SW...

Its state of disrepair contributed to the death trap and vehicle damaging expanse of okene-lokoja!! That road is real inilara and afonilori...

Does Metuh want to claim that he did not have access to PDP presidential campaign fund account balance? Does it make sense that the NSA will be making withdrawals from the PDP account to give to Metuh? It is like me asking my friend to make sure that the money he's dashing me is from my bank account
Olisa is a lawyer, he knew quite well Dasuki isn't a member of their party's decision making organ and couldn't have had the responsibility of disbursing cash to them..

As a person versed in legal matters, he knows there is nothing called ignorance in law, you don't receive from wrong source and claim "I didn't know" or "persecution", everything boils down to the belief that they would never lose the center.

Such a rude awakening and traumatic shock.

Politics › "Dasuki Ignored Olisa Metuh's Enquiry On Source Of Funds" - Witness by modath(op): 6:53am On May 18, 2016
Trial of  embattled National Publicity Secretary of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Chief Olisa Metuh, resumed before the Federal High Court in Abuja, yesterday, with a defence witness, Mr.  Colet Odenigbo, maintaining that the defendant sought to know the source of the N400million he received from the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA. Odenigbo, who testified as the second prosecution witness, DW-2, told the court that Metuh’s enquiry into the source of the fund, which was given to him for the political campaign of the PDP, was never replied by ONSA.

The witness, who was a former US Naval Officer and a consultant to the office of the PDP National Publicity Secretary, said he accompanied Metuh to meet with a panel of the ONSA, where it was agreed that N400m be given to him to fund the party’s campaign activities for the 2015 general election. Led in evidence by Metuh’s lawyer, Mr. Emeka Etiaba, SAN, the witness said: “My lord, in the course of the meeting, Chief Olisa Metuh asked the ONSA team the source of the payment for the funding of the PDP’s campaign activities. He was not told, rather, they said they will get back to him, which they never did until he (Metuh) was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.”

He told the court that Metuh initially threatened to refund the money if he found out that the source of the money was not from the campaign fund of the party. While being cross-examined by EFCC lawyer, Mr. Sylvanus Tahir, the witness said he rendered consultancy services to Metuh, but never had any personal dealing with the ONSA except the day he accompanied the defendant to the meeting where the issue of payment was discussed.

Also being cross-examined by counsel to the 2nd defendant, Chief Tochukwu Onwubufor, SAN, Odenigbo said he was not aware if Metuh eventually refunded the money or not.

He said: “My lord, all I can say is that the defendant all through exhibited qualities of an honest man who was not out to defraud anyone”.

Politics › Re: Bayelsans Are So Lazy - Governor Dickson by modath(f): 3:18pm On May 17, 2016
MadCow1:
#FACT!!!!

The Niger Delta man is physically and mentally Lazy.

The region is so bad that there is no Billionaire in the entire region whose wealth has crossed 2 generations. Whereas the Igbo Man, Yoruba man and the Hausa man would build an empire and start setting up his sons and relatives to takeover and expand the empire to last long beyond him, the Niger Delta man once he becomes a billionaire or a millionaire would rather live large, buy multiple cars, marry more wives, birth more kids that he would not provide for and die almost broke leaving his estate in disarray.

The Youths grow up on this belief that they can be lazy and expect to get rich from terrorizing Non-Indigenes and extorting businesses in their locality, selling off their ancestral lands and blowing up oil installations for settlement claims money.

All developmental projects embarked on by the Companies (oil and otherwise), the Government, e.t.c are all sabotaged by the same Niger Deltans who are the primary beneficiaries. I remember how a school with a budget of almost 100 Million was awarded to a Contractor and when he arrived the site to commence work, the Chief and the Youths started harassing him and in the end, the Chief demanded 15 million Naira for him to sign a Work Completion Certificate for the Contractor. The Contractor ofcourse offered the Chief 15 Million out of the almost 100 Million, settled the youths with like 2 million Naira and pocketed the rest of the dough. That job was marked as completed on the list. No thanks to the Community people.

I have sat in on several MOU's and I am yet to come out of any one where I can say the representatives of the Community had the best interest of the people they claimed to represent at heart.

I remember how one community demanded that their people be sent on training and paid a salary of 750,000 per month for the duration of the course.. grin I was like WTF?

Total Nigeria Limited has spent over 1 Million Euros on OML 58 Communities i in Rivers State in the last 6 Years and yet that community does not look like they have ever seen dollars before. Same with NAOC and SPDC amongst others.

If you are a contractor in the Niger Delta, you know all I am saying first hand, if you are not, ask anybody who is to tell you stories.

Its in the Niger Delta that you will get a Contract to fabricate or construct something, after settling the chiefs and elders and youths, they will give you a list of persons who you must employ before you commence work and they will in some cases stipulate their salaries. After you agree, these workers will never turn up to work until its time for salary. angry

The biggest enemies of the Niger Delta is the Niger Delta.

Dickson did not lie, the Niger Delta Man is Physically, Mentally and Spiritually lazy.
I didn't want to contribute but there is not one lie in this..

A friend told me about one community that a school was supposed to built as well, one group claimed their kids were too grown for primary school, the others said they don't have kids yet, at the end of everything, the funds were shared and that was the end of everything..

So sad and disheartening....
