I went through the list again and saw our uncle Doyin (formerly) Okupe's name on the register. These people to shameless.

It is not even up to a week ago since he was postrating for the hill top chief and blowing kisses as though he is homosexual.

I just wish Donald Duke had stayed out cos this won't end well………or quickly
I'm still wondering why any of them think they have any relevance, Deji Adeyanju will go with the Fayose faction, dem nor born am well to go with aPDP, that's political suicide..

NL's resident neutral/Pseudo analyst must go with the "Local Ekiti Politician", none of dem get any shoosh!!

Abi oooo. That former governor of Ogun (with running nose every time) is also there flexing non-existing muscles.

When the party was going under, they were quiet ooo.

Wait though, Deji Deyanju does not support Fayose, does this mean he is with this group or he will go form his own?
My bloda, na so we see am.... Baba Babatope who has never been known to have anything positive to his name too join dem...

Grace Bent whose only qualification for a Senate seat is who she is married to....Donald Duke own, i sincerely don't understand, he should quit active politics and just be an objective critic of government policies.....

BTW, why are party people allergic to paying dues to finance party activities? Once nothing is coming in from the centre, things fall apart..... If they had been well grounded due paying members, Fayose & co wouldn't have sold them to a money long who has delusions of grandeur of being president simply because he is friends with two presidents..

Bitter and as wrong as he sounded when he made that statement, I believe he added a caveat which not many spinners are referring to. He was asked about forming an inclusive government and he responded that it's simply a political reality to respond to people who put you in power (with over 90% of votes) more than those who didn't (with less than 5% of votes) but that this wouldn't affect his constitutional responsibilities to all parts of Nigeria.
I'm Pro Buhari but there are some things some "specific" people are not allowed to say... No matter how factual it is, it's called PR management.... No two ways about it... I get the intent but like you said the spinners are having a field day with it...

No mind the jegudu jeras! Qatar,UAE,Kuwait with a fraction of our population are not smiling as it is now, don't even get me started on Venezuela, Na blood those ones dey cry!!!

What we need NLC to do is to fight to;

1. Ensure min wage can get the basics: 30-35k.

2. Follow the 350bn capital spending bumper to bumper so we don't end up subsidising corruption in another guise.

3. Fight RMAFC & Wages commission to a standstill so there is income parity among govt establishments.

4. Enforce due process in recruitment; so young graduates without connection won't all be relegated to recharge card sales or fish pond or poultry farming because the elites have taken all the posts with "juice" & left ONLY the chaffs..

I doubt they can get just one of these done though, they are but toothless canines!!

They played dead when job seekers got death in exchange for their 1k, Abba "mass murderer" Moro is still walking free.

Subsidy probe of 2012 eventually turned into a farce!

NASS is living large, their budget (which takes 25% of recurrent expenditure??) is shrouded in secrecy, that one is one battle we ALL need to fight.

So also many supported GEJ not because he is better but because he is from south and a Christian..

Jut like the guy above iquote who mock Igbo's because he is Yoruba but forget that the parents buy goods on credit from the Igbo's to feed him.
I ordinarily wouldn't have dignified this with a response but cos you waxed so much lyrical about tolerance, mutual respect and claim people are being needlessly & myopic ethnic jingoists.

You also have a brilliant bible verse as your siggy so there is still hope for redemption:

Even if they are part or not part of 5% doesn't mean you should twist stuff to mock them? In a sane society Buhari mentioned of 5% would have sack him..imagine referring to Texas or Minnesota as 5% of US because you are from NYC, LA or Washington?

The problem of Nigerians lies in ethnicity and this will continue for the next 100 yes except there is reorientation.
I agree 100% with the highlighted, but not with the Texas L.A reference, we should stop comparing apples and oranges..... America is a melting pot, "State Of Origin" is mute there, Everyone belongs anywhere they find themselves,... Nobody will tell you , you can't get govt assisted Medicare in Georgia because you are from Michigan.

Republicans that don't like Obama do not for other reasons and not because he is from Southside Chicago.

Trump is ridiculed for his showmanship & crassness but you won't hear any generalisation of his actions as being typical of Uncouth New Yorkers....

Like it's our habit here.... cool

In as much as i don't agree with the 5% outburst, &wish he didn't contemplate or even utter such, i do however understand the human angle & deep emotions that spurred such...

Unless we will all bury our heads in the sand, that he is President today is God's doing, there was nothing that wasn't thrown and still being thrown at him, his culture, ethnicity, upbringing, educational background, relationships.. name it, he was raked over hot coals..

However, he needs to be for EVERYBODY... what's done is done, no one can move far ahead, while still trying to look back....

mate the masses are made to pay for the irresponsible attitudes of the government. The glutton attitude of the government are what we are forced to pay for. Senators will still buy cars and will still collect clothing allowance. Cut down on recurrent expenses of the government then we can fix our refinaries and build new ones and no one will talk about subsidies.
No two ways about it... Ministers looking for 20m houses are free to resign, unnecessary convoy for airport shuttle should be a thing of the past, Bubu has no reason to hold on to those jets, if he isn't getting fair market value, he should lobby some rich Nigerians to lease them...

The belt tightening should be across board not only the poor masses that didn't benefit beyond the ordinary when the 100$+ P.B Crude price bazaar was going on..

P.S... As for NASS cutting down, forget it, it's never going to happen...

If NLC were really serious, they would pressure NASS to open the Budget to public scrutiny, Even Ben Bruce that blew hot air about making public their earnings has developed amnesia about that promise!

That has also been my question.
I still don't get our way of thinking in this clime, A govt came in just as the oil bubble burst and seems people can't link low crude price to the "hardship" being currently experienced!!!

As it is, there is only so much the government can do, only concerted efforts and belt tightening can weather this treacherous storm...

However need Bubu & other government officials need to make some adjustments too, Nigerians shouldn't be only people to suffer!!!

NLC is just playing to the gallery, they know what's up, they know what they will get is somewhere around 110-120, then minimum wage will go to 30-35.... Adams Oshio knows where the pendulum will swing hence his preemption!

As it is, without a stop to using scarce forex for PMS imports, fuel availability will still be a problem, money for projects won't be available, allocation to states won't improve, salary payment would still continue to be a problem for state governments......

I still can't believe OBJ & Jona gave out 20 licences for new refineries and one didn't even come on board in 16yrs!! They were all busy importing PMS and collecting subsidy!! Na to wait till 2018 for Dangote to finish hin own!!
