Gmajor:
PDP has been around for a very long time. APC on the other hand emerged very recently and since then there has never been peace
you know you are being facetious, PDP never knew APC would be their nemesis; when they realised the horse had fled the stall they were caught with their pants down and had to resort to ethnic and religious blackmail.

Didn't Jimi Agbaje threaten Nigerians with ND militancy if Jonathan wasn't returnedhuh?

To hell with the Senate president! We don't need it.
Not true,you want it with everything in you,you are all pretending hoping it will be offered to you on a platter of gold.

What about Ohakim? Prior to this election,I've never heard anything bad about Okorocha, stop crying more than the bereaved.
Politics › Lagos:No Man's Land Phenomenon/development. by modath(op):
With the ruckus generated by Oba Akiolu's utterances (that I strongly condemn), cos there are ways to drive home your point without drawing the ire of the general populace and fanning the embers of the divisive fire started by the PCO.

There are two things that I've always pondered upon when I hear lagos being bandied about as a no man's land and the ibos claiming responsibility for the development in lagos and its evirons.

1. I've never seen or heard of a non Yoruba omo onile (land owners) and this shouldn't be so if lagos belongs to EVERYONE

2.I respect ibos for being savvy businessmen and traders but I will appreciate someone schooling me on how that directly translates to the infrastructural development and policy making stand of the lagos state govt when there are other tribes and nationalities all coalesced in the melting pot called lagos??

Enlightened minds may please give honest and objective reviews as we have more enough tribal bashing threads. Thank you.

This woman lost her most prized asset(don't think her husband is a substitute)and you expect her not to withdraw and lick her wounds in private.

Mama P needs to come out of her self imposed hibernation though before Amaechi takes Rivers as well as Aso rock from her before its too late.. smiley
Politics › Re: Buhari Visits Owerri As Okorocha Champions The Affairs Of Ndi Igbo by modath(f):
I wish Ndigbos will leave their noses on their faces, seperating them will never do them any good, Okorocha is trying his best to mend fences and build bridges but the resistance to all friendly overtures is unbecoming.

Everyone made their choices; nowhere did the HF and the yorubas promise their votes to Jonathan.

The election is over and done with,the winner has promised to work for everyone, while the loser has asked for everyone's co operation for the incoming regime but some still insist on crying more than the bereaved.

Politics › Re: Should The APC Shut Doors Against Decampees? by modath(f): 3:28pm On Apr 06, 2015
akoaki:
Just thinking that the APC should for now refuse to receive decampees from other parties. Already, we know that tongues are wagging against the number of prominent pdp members who defected to apc and how they may attempt to stain the identity of apc. I therefore think that lovers of good governance in Nigeria should start speaking and working against the concentration of hitherto pdp members in the incoming governing party, apc.
What is your take on this?
The best way to deal with unwanted guests is to make give them the cold shoulder treatment... no one will tell them to leave as quickly as they arrive.
Politics › Re: BREAKING!!! Oba Of Lagos Replied His Critics. With Pictures by modath(f): 3:07pm On Apr 06, 2015
Yorubas and ibos have always managed to co-exist in relative peace and harmony till PDP started their campaign of hate and calumny..

Politics › Pdp Just Gave Lagos A+ In Their Ph Rally- 06-04-2015 by modath(op): 1:10pm On Apr 06, 2015
I was watching PDP's rally on AIT and what resonated with me is that both Nyesom Wike &Uche Secondus said the same thing: Lagos has always been in opposition and there is no PDP state that is up to par with the state in infrastructural development. shocked huh

Who on earth advised this people to come up with such an indictment when they know JImi Agbaje is trying to paint the good works of 16yrs in a bad light to swing votes his way, what a faux pas.

tochukwuifeduba:
Apc have zoned the senate President to the Igbos and and the 2023 presidential ticket to the Igbos and we must have it.

Dont think that Buhari can succed without the Igbo support.

There are more Igbos outside the south East. He cannot do without our support unless he is ready for another full blown Civil war like in the 1967.

So we are all teaming together under one Nigeria to move our Nation forward
Buhari will succeed, the best you can do is to relocate if the thought of being lead by a cow herder is abhorrent to you .. i thought the ibo said they dont need the positionhuh?... he who laughs last laughs best!!
Politics › Re: Restructuring The South East: Ekweremadu Set To Clinch Senate Presidency-ifeduba by modath(f): 8:49am On Apr 06, 2015
Anyone can daydream and fantasise but reality would always sneak up to shatter all illusions.

The best the SE can and will get is the deputy speaker position and its to provide a semblance of inclusion, so they stop alleging marginalisation. It will be foolhardy for a cassava farmer to reap from a cocoa plantation. Next time the east will learn and behave accordingly.. bitterness always ends up consuming the harbinger

Giving Ekweremadu the SP will be like trapping a man with an unwanted pregnancy,you'll bear the title of mrs but will never enjoy the marriage.
Politics › Re: Okorocha Meets Abia Goverorship Hopeful Alex Otti And Udensi by modath(f): 7:08am On Apr 06, 2015
This story is full of holes,how does APC hope to win in Abia when the prominent candidates are in APGA and PPA unless there is an underground plan to have them defect to the governing party after the election.

How do people come up with all these spurious tales,wish they would channel their vast imaginative skillls to better use.

Politics › Re: Anti-corruption: I Trust Buhari, But Not All Those Around Him- Bakare - Vanguard by modath(f):
Pastor Bakare we know,but the game of politics is not the house of the lord, where white will never be blue.. compromises had to be made.

GMB in this instance can be likened to a strict father who has promiscous children in tertiary institutions, he may not be able to stop them when they are in school but they know better than to engage in their antics under his roof.

I supported the people's general in '11 and I remember what an uphill task it was to convince people outside of my immediate family to give him a chance(one of my friends still side eyes me till this day for trying to sell her an "Unbeliever".) ..My cousin told me Jonathan's shoeless story then was compelling and she wouldn't even entertain my attempts. Fast forward to 2015, she not only voted for GMB,she was online monitoring PU results.

Unless we keep lying to ourselves,our votes alone didn't bring this long desired change,its the formidable force behing the general that made it easier for some people to accept him.
Politics › Re: Senate: Igbo Senators Lobby APC by modath(f):
This Sun article is designed for one purpose and one purpose only: blackmail..
The igbos in the general scheme of things should have the top senate job but there is no way that will be made possible if its viewed in an objective manner, Ngige would have been a natural shoo in for that post but I doubt Ekwunife would relinquish her seat.

What most ppeople fail to put into consideration is that the senate presidency post is a sensitive one and who amongst you will invite your "frenemy into your home to discuss your family's dream and aspirations.

George Akume or Bukola Saraki will preside over the senate while the senator from edo will have deputy position. The speaker will be from the NE but the deputy may be from the
SE to create a balance and a sense of inclusion,technocrats of igbo extraction will be given tangible cabinet positions..

@Papiwata,
How can you justify your contempt for diezani and admiration for jonathan in the same write-up? when its obvious to everyone that the singular reason for the arbitrariness that characterised her actions is a direct result of jonathan's protectionhuh?
When the nass gave her a summon,who made it possible for her to flout such an order with zero consequences/repercussionshuh?

@OP,
Did you guys just learn of this now, cos i'm seeing this story all over politics forum, were you guys dead or sleeping when the primaries were being heldhuh?.. i hate corruption and sharp practices as much if not more than the average Nigerian (My reason for wasting my vote on GMB in '11 while he was still in cpc )but no one will take this seriously cos we know this is coming out now just for electioneering purposes and not for love of country.

Apc has already taken over NW&NE, April 11th is just the rubber stamp day. Even Olisa Metuh in his interview didn't count any of the core HF states as PDP's. Too late OP..
