Politics › Re: 2019: APGA Needs To Re-strategize For Igbo Presidency – Maxi Okwu by modath(f): 3:44pm On Apr 08, 2015
I don't do ethnic/tribal bashing but for once I'll go against my nature and say "this is the most ridiculous thing they could have ever come up with" cheesy cheesy

The only presidency the SE can ever aspire to with their present political leanings and affiliations is that of the fed rep of biafra.

@omenka,
You are preaching to the choir, experience is the best teacher, until the se leaders really experience what it means to be in opposition, they are not likely to re orientate their people and preach the need for bridge building.

Politics › Re: Buhari's Win, Who Owns The Kudos? Obasanjo Or Tinubu? by modath(f): 11:00am On Apr 08, 2015
50-50. .... Obasanjo helped crucify Jonathan in the courts of public opinion and the international communities, while Jagaban assembled the soldiers that bombarded his hitherto assumed impenetrable fortress/federal might..

GMB will never ever have been able to achieve this feat without both men despite his qualification..

All's well that ends well.

Perceived Wound?

Ermmm....am wondering apart from ethnic sentiments, why do they feel wounded? Do they really believe Jonathan has done anything good for the country?

This your "wound" idea seems ridiculous and preposterous to me.

The better candidate won. Why should they be carrying "wound" in their hearts?

Smh
The wound analogy sounds ridiculous to you too?? it sounded crazy to me as well when someone used it after the declaration of the results. 2 examples are indelible to me out of all the reactions I've seen.

1. A lady cried as if she lost a grown up child.

2. A friend's husband cursed that "Nigeria will never know peace for ganging up against the region that produces the mainstay of the economy" the irony is that he is delta Ibo and not even delta Ijaw.

The good Jonathan did for the SE is to appoint their kinsmen/women to key positions but I've asked without getting any reasonable answer how those positions has positively impacted the lives of the average man/woman/child on the streets of aba, onitsha, owerri or umuahia?

Na now their eye clear.

Rochas is winning Imo no doubt. Not too sure of other SE states.
I wish this would be the case but since their belief is that the face doesn't need the nose and every effort is being made to excise it, I don't think it will happen.

Rochas has been branded as an accomplice in the "assault of march 28th, how would he be able to surmount the barrier of transferred hate and aggression??

Bitterness is real.

Their heart is a wound itself sir, nasty thing full of hatred and vengeance.
The whole NL Politics forum is filled with talks of betrayal, marginalisation etc,so one can't help but deduce that they are in deep pains.

I have always asked when they post their tribal sentiments if the SW and HF ever promised their votes to Jonathan but none has given an answer.

They chose to place all their cash on one number believing its a sure bet but when it proved to a total dud, they came back screaming the dealer rigged the cards.

This poster is not a sir,na madam. cheesy

The only place you'll find $700m is in a US FEDERAL RESERVE BANK's VAULT, how you trolls come up with these wild stories beats the imagination.

Politics › Re: Ohanaeze Endorses APC For Abia, Imo Guber Polls by modath(f): 6:32am On Apr 08, 2015
Ohaneze's endorsement is a counter productive measure, if they endorse a rat fit for a cat to consume, the rat will be left unharmed. cheesy

As much as I'd like Rochas to carry the day in Imo, the perceived wound left by GMB's win in the hearts of the Ibos will make that an impossible feat.

If there is any truth to this version of thesaga, it means they must have laid siege for the APC lawmakers and that is an attack in itself

Politics › POST ELECTION DEFECTIONS... OPPOSITION MUST NOT DIE!!! by modath(op): 3:26pm On Apr 07, 2015
We don't want PDP to die, we want the party to regroup and provide a stiff opposition to the governing party, we Nigerians don't want another hydra headed monster and that's what is about to happen.

There should be a legislation against this immoral and unethical activity, if you have so much belief and confidence in a political party why wait till the soup is done before bringing out your stale fufu huh?

Just today 7th of April, the media had reported a gale of defections :

EDO: MAJ GEN AHRIAVBERE AND OSARHEIMEN OSUNBOR

EKITI:SENATOR AYO ARISE

PLATEAU: JOSHUA DARIYE, J.T USENI, FIDELIS TAPGUN

I'm sure there are more that have gone unreported.

We didnt go through the struggle for this!! undecided undecided

In as much as i wanted PDP to no longer be in control at the federal level, i desire with all my heart that they remain as one to provide a stiff opposition so we don't have another monster...

There should be a legislation against post election defections:

There is an Igbo adage that says- adighi epu e'ze maka Iji onye ozo( We do not grow teeth for another man's yam). The Buhari govt is a 'yoruba-hausa yam', let them eat. When we harvest our own, we go chop.
Igbo should take over the driving seats in PDP and build it for the future.

Seems like your reasoning is upside down. Since the election results were announced, Igbos have accepted it, but others especially Yorubas keep castigating Igbos for rejecting APC totally. So who is crying more than the bereaved here?
Seems, but its not i assure you..... everyone is entitled to their political stand but the word betrayal should never be applied.. Okorocha is a good governor (according to imo people) but the reason he is being vilified now is cos he is in APC... whatever the igbos do is their concern.

my apologies with the error....an oversight. Its ok to console urself....no shame in it.
Believe it or not....a good number of Igbos are indifferent to Lagos politics. Some dont even care who ends up being governor, some who do wont even go and vote. What u see play out in the House of Reps election is the few dat voted in Igbo-MAJORITY areas. So its possible for APC to win all three.
cheesy cheesy.. You know the ibos do care and they are trying to use this gubernatorial election as a payback for the perceived betrayal of march 28th...

How many yorubas do you think voted as well? Lagos has over 5m PVCs collected and altogether there were about 1.5m voters, even if the elections were to be reconducted and EVERYONE turned out, we would still have the same results... & FYI.. I'm not pained in anyway; i know it will be difficult for you to believe that there some people that are not ethnic bigots...

In school i supported my Urhobo friend for director of sports(SUG) against a yoruba candidate from the same faculty and it was considered an anomaly.

Relax bros, it was 5, the 6th (out of 24 which is not a shabby perfomance, ratio 75:25) is an ACCORD member and the only reason is that those constituencies are neighbourhoods dominated by the igbos and these candidates successes was precpitated by the cascading effect of the jonathan's votes( which I have no problem with).

If you may be kind to answer me this; why are all the senators APC candidates if the non yoruba votes outnumbers the yorubas in lagoshuh?
