As gocare advised, do a blood test. Its very possible another bun may be on the way, my friend got pregnant just about 4mths after having a baby,without her period coming back and her baby being EXCLUSIVELY breastfed.
She was so ashamed.

Are u serious, fmc owerri? There is ds echo scan in Garki Area 11 Abuja, if u go for scan there by 12wks they will reveal d sex in writing wtout asking u if u are interested in knowing it or not, and they are very acurate no mistakes

I live in abuja too, and ALL the hospitals here, both govt and private will tell you if you ask them, there is room for error though.

I'm hearing about the garri and dandruff connection for the first time,can u link the page so I can learn something new? Dandruff I believe is shedding of dead skin cells in the scalp or flaking of a dry scalp.

Mama,the days of baby swapping were the time before new age scans and carelessness,not that awful accidents don't shappen but they are few and far between.
Some mums get disappointed when the scan reveals the opposite of what they desire and some med practioners are not comfortable with that kind of emotional drama.
I've had a much younger friend of mine shed tears for hours after checking cos d scan revealed another boy(she had 1 boy already) and she's been buying hair ribbons to adorn the girl she dreamt she was having.
I had to remind her she's Ibo married to an ibo man and still well and able to have more kids and remember those who don't have.
The reason most people ask is to know what EXACTLY to get.
I've told the scan stories of my 1 and 2& how I was surprised on both occassions, so want that feeling again.

Your DR is not serious, what does it mean by "he doesn't check for sex"? Its your prerogative to know, he is a service provider & should act like one.
I'm going to ask the sonographer not to reveal the sex to me cos I DON'T WANT TO KNOW, not cos they wouldn't tell me....

Welcome,For optimal care,you should go to a standard govt hospital with EXPERIENCED midwives and obgyns.. Asokoro District Hospital is the closest to nyanya. There is no good hospital around there unless you want to settle for a private one..

Your scan result is very OK, ALL babies at this stage lie in a breech position,they even do a lot flips cos there is space enough to dance azonto and etighi. they turn down between 6.5/7-8mths, posterior just means backache fit dey small.

Posterior placenta means its lying to the back,which is no cause for alarm,its when its low lying that is an issue(placenta previa).
On the GA,the differential should not be a bother cos it isn't much, BPP I know is about fetal wellbeing test but don't know much about its technicality, nurse Kaffy go explain better.

You are not alone, **hug**. You and I have the same kind of system,but the good news is that within the next 2-3wks you'll feel a lot better,you may not feel 100% like you would usually feel ..you might also be lucky and be like the few that don't experience any other discomfort throughout but it will get better.
What you are going through is perfectly normal, you might also be carrying twins.

No vex,I missed your earlier post,as I always claim belle get many relatives wey dey visit unannounced and they are mostly unwelcomed and intrusive.
Pregnancy at the later stages causes a slight variation in weight and its distribution, the body also releases hormones to relax the joints in readiness.. Take gentle walks and be calm, all go soon end.

I want to be like you @ 30wks cos na me & gestid dey do friend @ dat time, on a serious note, it may be the quantity is the problem, the baby has taken some of the space the intenstines usually are and it slows digestion a lot... Eat little by little @ intervals.

Be grateful for good muscle tone,we that show early are "blessed" with lax abdominal muscles that allows the uterus to push out early on, nothing do you if the scan no get any complaint.

The heat is real gangster @ this period & we preggys feel it more cos our metabolism is raised by @ least 20% as two different blood circulatory systems are ongoing in our bodies and we are emitting the commensurate body heat, I have sworn off extensions and attachements for now and did weaving so as to be able to take baths with my head included. I slap wig on my head when going out. Me I can't come & die of heat oo!!
I also drink icy water.
We will all dance when we we see our pikins.

You FTMs excitement are putting me in an anticipatory mood now & I'm 14+ & will soon(felt flutters like a lil swimming fish in wk 9-10) start getting it but you blessed mamas have put the thought in my head.
I'm getting all giddy thinking about when the baby decides to just balance with d bum or stick a foot/arm in one corner & you do a probe & can actually feel that particular body part.Get ready for an almost orgasmic feeling.

If there is a time that folic acid & fersolate is needed, it is in this critical EARLY developmental stage, folic acid prevents neurological defects while folic acid increases iron in the blood...Try and see a very experienced Obgyn cos of past experience, this time,it will end in great joy.

For Nigerians, please note the following:

*Single Ladies / Men travelling alone should be 40 years old and above.

*Married women travelling with children should be above 40 years old.

All visa applications are subject to approval. Once applied, full charges are applicable.

You're faithful in taking your prenatal vitamins? Iron deficiency causes tremor and stress also causes it as well, take a bath and a nap & see if it improves.

You are welcome, whenever I hear that someone went thru a prolonged labour, endured post cs pain and still not get to have the baby as a kind of "comfort", I always feel something I can't put a name to. God will give you the one (s) that will stay to be loved and adored.
Govt hospitals don't deal with epidural,they even take their sweet time to reccommend CS when labour isn't progressing.

Your wife is +/- 7weeks, the mamas advised vit c, piriton is also safe in pregnancy.

The reverse was my case,I got a boy as against d scan's girl, I nor get energy to vex, my boy wore a girl christening gown and pink body suits till he was about 4-6weeks & we got him boy clothes.
My daughter refused to uncross her legs each time we go for scan and was the proud owner of about 5-6 body suits only for the 1st week of her life.
With this one,aint gonna bother..

Babe,you announced a few days ago on ttc (and I was happy for you), so I'm assuming you are between 2-3wks gone, the scan may not pick anything this early,wait 2-3weeks then do a repeat scan.
Your joy will never be cut short.

I don't have any medical know how but gestational sac is supposed to be seen from 5 weeks onwards, I do know it will be hard not to panic but can you check a place where they do maybe a 3D scan cos I know you'll work yourself into a frenzy trying not to worry.
