@Omankem, See the DR immediately.. God is still in the business of doing miracles . |
@Jumayin & @Deezou, Your symptoms are preggy ones,I have the body heat as I'm typing sef,Jumayin sorry for the ommission, just lie on your sides. |
@Proudmum&Prouddad, Retebe boribobo saboribobo, oya receive it, the annoiting of twins. Yeeesss. ![]() *run before proudmum enter with pestle* |
@kechyl, Os closed is a good sign cos it means your cervix is closed and viable cyesis means the belle dey kampe, do not worry about what rthe scan says cos its much ado about nothing at this stage, when you get to 30+ weeks, things will unravel. |
@Kaffy, Big babies issue,I tire ooo, +6 days to just 12weeks!! Only god know wetin e go be by 30wks.what's so annoying is that my kids are skinny now,my daughter is 6,never gotten too big for any dress, they just become too short and still wears 18-24mths shorts, when we have toddler guests, they leave with a some of her clothes. @sexiebecky, If I had a choice,I'd never opt for a cs cos of the post operative pain and recovery period but when push comes to shove, we gat to make lemonade out of the lemons life hands us....why does your dr think cs is better for twins? @onegai, My ex-neighbour/house fellowship member (spiritus spiricoco) rejected the reccommendation of a cs for her 2nd baby cos it was ungodly, she didn't go to the hospital on time and lost the baby and claimed it was her life the enemy actually came for, she became pregnant again, got the same prognosis, had a cs & was ashamed to leave her house for weeks. My 2nd was delivered @ a reddington kind of hospital in abuja though cos my office paid for everything, I didn't part with a kobo. but the truth is that though the attention in the private hospital is better, the technical know how in the general hospital is way way better.. |
@Sayoberry, How are you doing? @afamgod, Congrats, 2hrs and you are bubbly |
@meev, Congrats,God be with you all. @ogheneyoma, Congrats in advance,God will make it easy for you. @Sexiebecky, Sabi mamas, techwinnie,Kaffy&Onegai have said it all,all I want to add is my experience, it may be of benefit to someone.. My son and daughter were delivered through CS cos of how things were just meant to be. 1.My son:40weeks,4.4kg I was in labour for over 12hrs,was about 7-8cm dilated(was strongly advised not to push though to avoid stories that touch)amniotic fluid already drained as well, but he refused to budge, and my husband was "begged" cos it was assumed he may decline to consent to a CS so they could put us out of our misery,my dh wondered why we had to go through so much trauma. Backstory: I had done a scan the previous day and "CPD" was boldly written on the scan but the Dr decided that since I was a primigravida I should "try" vagina birth first(Its a General hospital so maybe cos there was no personal financial incentive,he wasn't inclined to suggest the sensible course of action). When I saw the DR during ward round,I asked him why he didn't reccommend CS,he said "cos you are a yoruba first time mom", he said whenever they reccommend CS to yoruba mums, they run to churches! 2.My daughter:37weeks 3.8kg I was so excited about VBAC cos one of my bosom friends had a successful VBAC,but @ 20-24wks(not too sure) I was made to do FBS and RBS twice cos they suspected macrosomia, I did but blood sugar came out very normal but my UA did record a slightly elevated glucose level. @ 35weeks,my baby was over 3kg already, on the day I got to 37wks I went to get my mat leave form signed, but the Dr asked if I was ready to proceed to the theatre cos I was already full term and will still be sectioned even if I wait till 47wks cos I can't push out above 3kg since I have both CPD¯osomia! I asked that it be scheduled for the next day as I wasn't psychologically ready. I'm exactly 12wks from my lmp (very very sure) gone with NO 3 after a 6yr gap but the scan I did today has added 6days to my LO's GA. |
@Lioha, Someone suggested iced cabbage leaf;kindly go with that till the engorgement is gone..really feel for you,it can't be palatable at all. you will experience joy sooner than you expect. Keep your head up. |
lala4sure:It will disappear only when YOUR system is able to manage the HCG surge, pele dear.. It may be tommorrow,it may be in your 2nd trimester and it may last the entirety of your pregnancy, take your medication and eat whatever you can keep down. |
@Sayoberry, I'm going to say it cos I know most people on this thread are all about being sunny and cheery and wouldn't rock the boat but I'm grown so will do. Do you know the number of people who lost their unborn babies within the past few days? And one of them even ttc for sometime before getting bfp and still lost it.. You are very fortunate and should appreciate these wonderful gifts and be concerned only about the "three" of you being sound and healthy irrespective of mode of birth.. I do know you were expressing your preference but sometimes we have to be conscious of our surroundings. |
sheweezy:How far gone are you? |
@Lioha,ifffy& mumkachi, No matter the platitudes we heap on here, only you know the depth of pain you feel,I pray that the almighty lord will wipe the tears of sorrow and replace with tears of joy when you hold your respective babies before 2015 concludes.. You'll never experience such again in your life. Amen.. |
http://www.celebitchy.com/406557/jaime_king_got_pregnant_naturally_after_5_ivf_treatments_26_rounds_of_iui_more/ Saw this online and felt I should share... |
@Beedam, My friend said her younger sis got tired of logging her belle around @38-39wks(not too sure) and began dancing etighi vigorously one afternoon and fell into labour by evening. That is a superwoman cos I'm only to breathe in and out @ that stage. ![]() |
@Chyvy, Congrats...your bundle of Joy will always be a source of Happiness to your family. @Mcgeey, If the DR placed you on medication, go ahead and use it, at 20wks the baby is fully formed. All that remains is to mature to term. @Anahaim, Follow Kaffy's advice, but still have it in mind that its for a good cause, it will get better. @Sammieone, Congrats& thanks for loving your wife more. |
@Lala, My dearest monthmate , manage whatever it is you can keep down, its better than forcing yourself to eat what isn't appealing to you thereby triggering vomit.. when I was pregnant with my 1st ,I lived on seven up for about 5days cos that was the only thing I could manage,I'm 11wks gone with number 3 and still not out of the woods yet. It will get better.@lioha, ![]() |
So counting now, july mamas are myself,Kaffy, proudmom and...... |
haemi:Keep the faith, this year by God's grace you'll not only be back here but will eventually cross over to the new mum's thread.. Allah will put your smile back on you. Stay strong. |
@clinik, Congrats, the joy you've experienced with his coming will never wane, what will make life sweet for him, God will provide for his parents. @mumkachi, As Mdm Kaffy advised,go immediately. @Omankem, "upper next saturday" is a bit far, get a second opinion if that same DR wouldn't like to be "bothered" before then... Heart beat is supposed to be seen @ 6-7wks.. Or are you wrong in your calculation?? @Iloha, How are you and the LO? What the Lord has done for you will be permanent. |
Deezou:Dearie,kindly check this out. http://www.whattoexpect.com/pregnancy/symptoms-and-solutions/bloating.aspx http://www.babycenter.com/0_gas-and-bloating-during-pregnancy_247.bc |

It maybe your period is coming, are you someone that experiences pre menstrual cramp?Maybe you do a test to rule out infections. |
JUMAYIN:Morning sickness(but it can be all sickness for some folks)generally starts @ around 4-6 weeks when HCG(the hormone responsible for protecting the foetus) rises and brings its baggages along,it levels at around 11-14wks which is why some people feel better after the 1st trimester. As I said to another poster sometime ago,pls don't beg for it,I know you want to experience all but take it from me, God has no hand in that stuff,it came from the pits of hell!! ![]() |
@jumayin and deezou, a bfc(big fat congrats) on your bfps. as u have both graduated from ttc, so will you successfully crossover to the new mum's thread to complain about nappy rash etc.. it will be easy for you guys. deezou,i know your story a bit from ttc, though am not ttc, i have two friends with secondary infertility and my childhood friend is actively ttc, the lord will smile on them as he has done for you ladies. |
Iffffffy:Go to the hospital, don't despair. Let the proffessionals check you out . I remember you asking about pregnancy symptoms & was thinking HCG elevation will soon kick in. |
^^^^^ @Iyawo, I'm laughing here cos of the numerous emoticons, you no know b4 say the blue pali quest na money wey reach to establish viable business? ![]() Everyday, I still debate with myself cos the money plenri gan!! I'm damn too frugal. |
omankem:See an experienced ob Gyn immediately, I went to your profile and I saw you TTCed for sometime, I know this can't be easy for you. God will take care of you. |
christabeli:See a doctor first, the risk of miscarriage is supposed to be minimal at this stage but I do implore you not to go on self medication in this delicate condition. My friend took camosunate 2x in her first trimester cos she didn't suspect pregnancy with no ill effect on the baby(though she was scared of birth defects till delivery) while I took nivaquine when I was 7months gone with my 1st and I had premature contractions. |
martosin212: ... If you aint to proud to beg, na to beg you dey now cos hormones may not make her as willing as she used to be and you have to bear two things in my mind.1. Every night is pushing it and 2.Comot mind if she just lie there like wood. On a serious note as kaffy rightly stated, some women experience a libido depletion while some experience a boost, all pregnancies are not the same, the next may not be like this, so thanks for understanding. |
AmJane:Its SUPPOSED to be safe but make sure to run ALL medications by your health care provider first. The journey is almost over, safe delivery, healthy baby and happy mama. |
k4kenny:I'm 10wks gone too(No 3 as well) EDD is actually August though(40wks estimation)but I'm a sure July mama by the Grace of God. |
omankem:You are free to take ANY fruit and its even advised along with lots of vegetable, don't be scared, God will see you througgh. |
Iffffffy:You are a first timer I'm assuming? Wait for it,it will come and if you have my kind of hormones/system you'll beg God to forgive you all past sins and misdemeanours whille vowing to always keep all commandments.Don't jinx yourself babe, its only cute in books and movies. |
