Politics / Where Are The Nigerian Youths. Part 2 by Modenzy: 10:30am On Oct 20, 2017
Recently, I posted a part one of the subject above.
www.nairaland.com/4109955/where-nigerian-youths.

Though, it didn't feature on the front page but i have received texts messages and calls from well wishers and traducers. Just like i always said, my own mission and happiness is to say the truth even to those in power. One thing, i will never do is to be a sycophant. God forbid

One of the Nigerian house of representative member called me last week after he had undergone through my write up. He first of all appreciated my write up and we had 45minutes of colloquy together. After our discussion i shook my head for our youths. I realized that the major areas which the Nigerian youths are more interested is visiting there social media accounts, displaying all sort of obnoxious and squalid attitudes. Most times when i go through Facebook feeds is either you see a guy talking about romance or a lady talking salaciously. I have not (so far) encounter a young Nigerian addressing the issues of this my dear country Nigeria. No wonder, one of the APC elders spoke recently that the youths cannot rule Nigeria and so far they (APC) cannot support the not-too-young-to-rule. Although, when i read it, i was a little bittered but after much pondering on the subject matter i began to understand clearly what the old man was trying to tell the Nigerian youths. I am going to reply him but that will be a topic for another day.
I want the youths of Nigeria to wake up to it future, if we fold our hands, we may grow and found out that so many destructions are been made. we need to flow into the river of leadership. we need to use our youthful exuberance and strength for the transformation of our dear country Nigerian. Facebook, twitter, watsapp etc are not our problem, let's modify this nation for the betterment of everyone and the next generation as well.

AN OPEN LETTER TO MY BROTHER DAVIDO

Dear Davido (aka O.B.O).
Sequel to the happenings around you, I found it deem to write this letter to you.
Iam a lover of your music, infact, this year you have given me so much pleasure through your wonderfall songs especially " fall on you".but that will be a matter to discuss for another day.
Its very sad and disheartening for one to lost a very close friends especially friends whom you go out together, club and drink together. At this very moment I know so many things will be running through your mind. Probably you might began to ask so many philosophical question like why did it happen to you, why must it be you? Who must have done this to you? But my sincere advice to you is to hold firm. Do not allow the allegations against you weigh you down. Let me take you down to the biblical story of Job, i know you must have read how he lost his sons and daughters but he still remain the good man that he is. Please bro. Continue to being the best guy that you are. Be strong. I sympathise with you. Love you so much.

WHERE ARE THE NIGERIAN YOUTHS?

Whenever I want to talk about the happenings in my country, I am always reluctant to say anything because Nigerians and the youths are so brainwashed that whenever you point at the truth especially against our politicians, you will hear must of them shouting APC, PDP, CPC, APGA, etc. my fellow Nigerians, let us keep political parties aside. Most our politicians are cheating us. Most of them are very selfish.
Let me tell you an incidence that happened during the 2015 election. Did you know that must of our politicians and the rich men were afraid that anything can happen? so they went to Dubai, Australia, Brazil, Switzerland and other countries to buy houses in case there would be bloodshed. They left the poor masses so that they can kill themselves and eventually they will come back and bury the poor masses.
Another thing that baffles me is this particular question; why is the seat of power rotating among the rich? Just look at 87% of our former governors, they are now senators.
Why is it that the young ones are not allowed to test the seat of power? Rather, they will only use the innocent youths for the gang boys, area boys, and all sort of criminal act to achieve their political ambitions and when they eventually win elections they would not install the youths as there ministers or commissioners.
The situation of this country baffles me enough, and it has not started today. The problem of this country stated long time ago (before my birth). Shall we continue to live like that??
When i was composing and discussing some of this issues with my friends, i was surprise with the response i heard from them. They told me, this article you are about to write, are you sure some of this politicians will not track you down? I kept mute for a while "Imagining the kind of politicians we have" and i shook my head. I answered them by telling them we have been patient and enduring with these people but is like they need someone that will speak to their understanding. I am ready to do anything for the sake of truth and liberation of the poor masses.
Recently, i have heard a lot of debates on hate speech, so that means that if you dare say truth against any politician you will be jailed. It is not proper to beat a child and stop him from crying. That is wickedness. These are people we voted for.
Let me stop here, i will continue in my next article. M.J 08135224270

Religion / "Doctrine Of Punishment In The Church" by Modenzy: 9:23am On Mar 05, 2017
First of all, i want to thank you all for your response on my last week topic titled: "having two wives but now a born again.
Today, again, i want us to vividly look at the church doctrines that has to do with imposing sanctions on some particular sins. My question is that why is that some churches only punish members for pregnant related issues. Immediately some pastors hear that you have pregnated or you are pregnant, they bring you out of the congregation to first of all expose you and sanction, query and punish you publicly. Is pregnancy the only sin? What about cheating, drunkness, disobedience?
Please, my dear nairalanders, your matured comments are needed. Biblical quotes, philosophical quotes and even psychological quotes are welcomed.
Happy sunday to you all.

Romance / "Stupid Things People Say When Caught Having Illegal Sex" by Modenzy: 2:39pm On Mar 03, 2017
It's annoying that people tend to give nonsensical reasons when they are caught having sex with somebody's wife, under aged girl etc.
Here are few excuses.
1. Konji is a bastard: This statement is very common, especially to our Nigerian youths. After being caught having illicit sex, they will instantly put the blame on konji. Saying, Koni na bastard. Bro, incase you don't know, konji has a father.
2. It is the work of the devil: whenever i hear this, i only laugh and ask, if it was the devil that help you remove bra, remove pant and helped you insert your device. Take devil out of this my sister.
3.it is a mistake: i have heard this from tosyn2much, the day he was caught. He was asked if it's by mistake he sucked her breast. And why didnt he suck a cow-breast-kmilk. Bro. Forget, na by pleasure.
4. It was a temptation: Sister, have common sense. You see people going to worship but you were not tempted. You were not tempted to read but you were tempted to have sex abi? Is alright.
5. I didnt know how it happened: i swear, na lie. You know. Were you blind? A man is undressing you and you are there asking him "what are you trying to do? He wants to play WHOT GAME, so that he can check-up.
Don't just laugh add yours.

Well, he who's in christ is a new creature, old things are passed away and all things have become new....so, if he married the two wives legally he must live with them legally, showing equal love and care to the both of them with NO partiality cos in christiandom once you are married there's absolutely NO room for divorce...let me just add, if you are a worker in the church you'd put away the last wife, i.e, the one you married last by giving her a certificate of divorce according to the bible...that's all i can say for now.

hmmmmmmmmm. It will be well.
Religion / Re: Having Two Wives But Now A Born Again by Modenzy: 12:30pm On Feb 26, 2017
Nutase:
The Bible never made a direct reference to polygamy except in the case of a bishop/overseer/elder/supervisor/officials in 1 Tim 3:2 depending on the version.
Some people use Genesis 2:24 to justify there monogamous theory which is not completely wrong and is also not completely right. Almost all the fathers of our faith were polygamist and yet God still found them righteous and even called one a man after his own heart.
In Matthew 23:23 Jesus scolded the pharisees for neglecting the weightier matters of the law which includes Judgement, mercy and faith.
In Matt 9:13 KJV Jesus referring to Hosea 6:6 said to the pharisees "But go ye and learn what that meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice: for I am not come to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."
In Matt 12:7 KJV Jesus speaking said But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
In Matt 23:15 NIV Jesus speaking said “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are."
Having laid the foundation above I want to state that I do not subscribe to polygamy neither do I encourage it. But we need to show compassion like Jesus did.
Some Christians use restitution to justify the man sending away his other wives but do not consider the effect of the absence of a husband and father on the other wives and children. Restitution cannot be applied in every situation, for example how does a woman who had an abortion do restitution?
The God we serve looks at the motive behind the action. The action was carried out in ignorance or based on the beliefs of the religion the fellow was practicing at that point in time and not from an informed position.

Let me conclude by saying that God deals with us according to His plan and purpose for our lives and in some particular issues there is no one size fits all. He can ask Mr A to do a thing which he won't permit Mr B to do.
This is one of such issues and should be done based on hearing personally from God and not because of what one man says. In the scriptures God did not permit David to build a temple for him but he permitted Solomon to do that for him.

Shalom.
you spoke well. Thanks 4 ur quotes. May God increase your wisdom

Religion / Having Two Wives But Now A Born Again by Modenzy: 9:06am On Feb 26, 2017
Happy sunday to all nairalanders.

There is a serious question that i always want to ask but today iam realeasing it out from the substructure of my mind.

It is Biblically and doctrinically mandatory for christ-likes in 97% churches to marry one (1) wife. Good.
Assuming a man is having two wives and he gave his life to christ as his personal LORD and SAVIOUR, should the man still stick and maintain the two wives

Please, matured answers, bible quotes are welcomed. Phylosophical reasonings are welcome too.
