The presiding Magistrate, Mariya Haruna Dogon Daji has adjourned to June 15th for the continuation of the hearing on a case of child abandonment brought before her against one Jamilu Musa, who is a lecturer with the Department of Science and Laboratory, Umaru Ali Shinkafi Polytechnic, Sokoto. The accused person, Jamilu Musa according to the Prosecutor was said to have committed desertion of child offence which is contrary to section 212 of the Sokoto State 2002 law, A female lawyer, Barrister Loveth Bello was in the Court to watch the proceeding for FIDA. The Prosecutor who informed the Court that he intends calling 4 witnesses out of whom 2 have already testified, added that he has the 3rd on in Court as Principal Witness 3. in her evidence before the Court, the PW3, Asmau Abubakar Jibrin who is the Data Officer of the Sokoto State Ministry for Women and Children Affairs, said sometimes in January 2021 the Director of Women Affairs of the Ministry gave her a number to call and lodge her complaint. ‘It was last year January 2021 but I can’t recall the date. The Director of Women Affairs gave me the number of one lady (name withheld) and I called her and she reported a case of rape which I reverted back to my Director. “The lady (name withheld) was later invited to the Ministry for more details. While in the office, she gave details about how she was raped and the culprit abandoned the child. “After hearing from her, the Ministry directed her to FIDA where she reported that the perpetrator refused to take responsibility for the child”. Continuing, the PW3 said as a way of assisting the survivor, the Ministry try as much as possible to include her in any of their empowerment programmes to enable her to fend for the child. While cross-examining the PW3, the defence counsel, Barrister Umar Abubakar asked if the Ministry has any register with respect to this incident and she answered in the affirmative, saying, ‘Every incident is recorded in our national dashboard”. The Prosecutor thereafter made an oral application for adjournment to enable him to come with PW4. And his application was granted hence adjourning the case to the 15th of June for the continuation of the hearing. It was also gathered that the father of the survivor vowed never to allow her to enter his house having brought such shame upon him. Pls forgive my grammatical errors. I live in the northern part of Nigeria. The security situation of this country has gotten out of hands, and the truth be told, the government would never do anything about it. last two weeks i was travelling from sokoto to kano. when we got to a village before Gusau, About 300 motor bikes, each conveying about 3 people carrying guns, they blocked the road. fortunately for us they werent out (that day) to kidnapped motorist, is as if they have a targeted place to go. They only blocked the road as they crossed to the other side. they were looking so dirty, unkept and very dangerous... I almost wee on my body because of fear. I would never forget that day. Recently, the interview granted to the notorious leader of the bandits in zamfara, sokoto and some parts of katsina BELLO TURJI, reveals the lethargic nature of our security forces and the calamity that may befall the nation in a time to come. i would have love to mention some of his shocking comments but time would not permit me as a BANKER. I WEEP FOR THIS NATION ASWEAR.... BACK TO WORK 6 Likes 1 Share |

MY HORRIBLE SWIMMING EXPERIENCE PART TWO ON getting to the hotel premises, i saw many guys dressed gorgeously, looking beautiful, handsome and accentuating like the way i was too. (Smiles). While the D.J was playing the music, we were also dancing but inside me was a big prayer " GOD, PLEASE, LET THEM FORGET ABOUT THE SWIMMING". Untill the master of ceremony announced that in the next 10minutes, we were heading to the pool for the swimming competition. My mind cut, small fear catch me but i no gree show say i fear. I was still looking confident and courageous. When the time for the swimming reached, I was looking for a way of escape so I told them that whenever i want to swim, i will need like 10 chewing gum at once. Immediately, a lady dip hands in her purse and brought out 20 pieces of chewing gum. For my mind I was like "why is the devil so wicked?. At this moment it was a competition between the babes and the guys. The babes picked me as their representative and they had put much hope on me sequel to my acts of braggadocio. All my thoughts was that the pool wasn't that deep and the guys were like "why wuna go choose moses? Wuna won do ojoro, wuna select expert. Anyway, the guys summoned courage and picked their own representative. Before we commenced, we were told that the pool is 890,000 feet-deep. Immediately i noticed how deep the pool was, cold come start to dey catch me, e com be like say na yellow fever and malaria dey do me. Oboyyyy, fear full my body oooo. We were given rules guiding the game. We were to start immediately after the count of 10, my legs come begin dey shiver. Belle come start dey turn, come be like say i wan purge (na fear). I began to reminisce all the lies I told them. I wanted to confess that i didn't know how to swim but the babes were just shouting Moses!! Moses!! Moses!!. Na hin i tell mysef see as babes dey hail me, e better make i swim oooo. I was still hearing Moses!! Expert. Moses!! Expert. Immediately after the count of 10, I jumped into the pool. My Bro. and Sis. That was how i went down to the pool oooo. I was already drawn, but they thought I was showing my expert-skills, after 2hours, they had to check me down the pool they brought me out and my stomach was looking like a 5years pregnancy. When they brought me out, they started hitting my stomach with stones and sticks while i was vomiting water. That day i vomited 89 gallons of water. I wish I could just disappear with all my bragging, i can't even swim. THE END Moses Jimba 1 Like 1 Share |

MY HORRIBLE SWIMMING EXPERIENCE. PART ONE. WHEN i was at a very tender age to my teen days, there was a river we called "KOGI" swimming became a hobby, i tried to learn how to swim by firstly playing at the river bank but i couldn't learn when the river began to migrate people to the land of the dead. I was ardently scorned to stop going to the river to swim. Me sef i no wan die. I stopped Few years back, i was invited to a birthday party in which the venue was in a very big, sophisticated hotel premises. When i was giving the invitation card, I was already told that there would be swimming competition. Unknown to me, i started bragging superciliously that i can even swim in a deep OCEAN. I began to tell them how i was swimming when i was in primary school. I told them how a SHARK FISH wanted to swallow me and i dodged. One of my friends was even saying that i needed to teach him how to swim. All the guys were praising and hailing me. I was feeling like jet li. For my mind, i don chuk dem for inside bottle. I even told them that there was a time i immersed myself into the deep sea for 2hours. They shouted, moses, you na expert ooo. I come dey feel like james bond, like say jacki chan sef na learner for my side. To avoid bragging too much again. The celebrant sent a cab to pick me at home. I went in dressed in an effigy style. PART TWO After the written test, many were not so lucky that they were dropped and few remained which i was luckily among. The next part of the interview was with the team which was oral. I was given number 3 on the list/queue, to cut the story short it got to me, i was called loudly but i didn't hear my name because i was chatting on watsapp. Hurriedly, I went inside and they started stoning me with questions like: can you first of all tell us your name? Within me, i was like, no be my name wuna just call?,why asking for what you know? I quickly told them my name, I didn't even know when i told them my great grand fathers name. They even asked did you know your greatgrand father? As a sharp guy, i responded Yes, I know his grave yard. Mtchheeeew. Well, not to make the story long. I was still qualified until the last face of the interview with the CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER. meeting/interaction with the CEO, Having my CV infront of his table. He still asked me my name, something within me wanted to tell him that can't you see my name on the C.V.? Something just told me that Oboyy na interview be this ooo. That was when sense began to fall on me. Before i knew it my phone started ringing with the ringtone GOBE by DAVIDO. He asked me who sing the song I replied it was king David that sang it, he laughed and said i be person wey sabi oo na DAVIDO singa am. Any way we continued with the formal interview. The most annoying part was when he asked me, IF YOU WERE TO BE AN ANIMAL, WHAT TYPE OF ANIMAL WOULD YOU WANT TO BE? I have already been told that it's their tradition. After thinking about it, I gave him the answer: "I WOULD WANT TO BE A LION" I could see the sad look on the mans face and the misinterpretation registered on his countenance. The man was expecting me to say chicken, ram, goat. For my mind ooo, so that you can slaughter me easily abi? That was what lead to my disqualification. After about 2months, they called me again but level don change. THE END 2 Likes |
Jokes Etc / My Hilarious Interview Experience by Modenzy: 9:01am On Feb 04, 2018 |
PART 1 I remember discussing one of my experiences i had 3 years ago when i went for an interview. Two weeks ago i was telling two of my friends and they were all laughing. Let me share it here. After submitting my application with a particular place i intended to work WITH. I was at home when i received a mail notification and i was told that i should come for an interview stated 10:00am. Hurriedly, i went to my wardrobe pick my T-shirt and my plain trouser, pressed it (iron it), wanted to wear my suit but because of the weather condition ( base on heat) i dropped it and decided not to wear it. I put in my shirt, wear my belt and a black tie and headed straight to the venue. When i got there, i saw others who came for the interview, someone greeted me and was like guy, how far na? I replied iam fine Sir and how are you doing. I didn't't want to speak pidgin so that the interviewer will not hear me inside and maybe disqualify me. Right from the gate i began to speak phonetically. Well, we went for a written test in a well conducive hall with fans rolling, cool breeze. They brought maths related questions i began to fumble shaa, doing it in an abracdabra way, and the second test was on English, i dabble in to the aqua of grammatical megalomania. I began to write using some words from Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon. Not still enough i began to call the SPIRIT OF DICTIONARY. To be continued 1 Like |

http://www.businessdayonline.com/youths-lead-a-bloodless-revolution-in-ibadan-ahead-of-2019/ David Ibemere One after the other they gathered at the Challenege Roundabout Ibadan recently, students, workers, artisans, all within the age range of 18-35, in one voice to drum up support that youths are giving the chance to decide their future come 2019. So unsure was the convener Adeola Adedoyin Oko small team for the #youthsdecide2019 rally, that they would be able to muster enough physical support, similary to what they have pulled using various social media networks, leading to the rally. The group had printed just 30 branded t-shirts reading their goals, but at 10am from 30 they grew to over 200 youths. Youth decide 2019, they all chanted chorously and vigorously, as they walked the streets, markets of Ibadan, displaying their voters card. Speaking to BusineasDay the convener Adeola Adedoyin Oko for the #Youthdecide2019 said the movement is to pioneer a ‘bloodless revolution’ ahead of 2019 general election, saying the time has come for the youths to produce office holders to prevent further neglect in governance. He lamented how youths over the years are being ostracised in both elected and appointed positions. "Voters card is the weapon and this is what we will bring the change have been dreaming." According to him, why the reduction of age limit is a big step he noted that the age limit does not guarantee a Nigerian youth opportunity to seek political positions. “The godfathers of Nigerian politics always penetrate the parties to decide who gets what, a youth candidate chances of winning in the primaries remains very slim, talk more of winning an election.” "We can’t allow this sidelining to continue, and we have to take our destiny in our own hands. How can the old people be recycling themselves in government as if the youths are not growing or relevant? This is unacceptable." He continued, “that is why we are going to pioneer this bloodless revolution. The economy is not working and youths are not getting employment . With this rally is plan for all states in Nigeria. the revolution has begun and time has come for us to forget the old ways of doing things. Youths will take over government by 2019.” He urged Nigerian youths to be focused, dogged and resolute in their quests to reclaim what belongs to them in the country. "time has come for youths to reject bad governance by first rejecting money during elections and rather vote according to the dictate of their conscience during polls." He further stated that the rally has no religion, tribal or political affiliation, the funds use is from our own purse, all we seek is sincere opportunity for visionary youths from the West, East, South or North to lead come 2019 which will signify a paradigm shift as the youths have previously not involved themselves much in electoral processes |
