RomanceSpecial Thanks To The President For Doing This In My Life by ModestGal(op): 11:55am On Oct 10, 2020
Please Nairalanders, help me to thank ourp President , he did wonders in my life.

The story begins after my final examination, so while waiting for service, I spend about 9months at home waiting for NYSC mobilization.

So while at home, I was opportuned to have foods and I ate a lot. Rice. Spaghetti, etc 9 months later, I was posted to serve in Gombe. When I got there I weighed myself and it was 75kg, I never knew when I became obesed, and I dislike obesity.
As a lady, I love to be independent, so when I received my first Alawee, I used it to rent a room together with some money with me. This was when the president did wonders in my life

After moving to the house, I got another Alawi, 19,800, I payed for the tailoring I was learning, went to market to buy foodstuffs especially rice and beans, and Alas! I couldn't get to buy anything with the money.
I quickly did calculation and skipped some food items, this was the starting point for me
For the rest of my service year, ''na potatoes I dey shop'' And water yam, unripe plantain e.t.c.
That was the last time I ate rice, recently, I went to the market and saw rice is now 1050, I skipped it sharparly.
My waist was 32inches, now it measures 28inches, my nl family, help me to thank God and our president for doing this wonders in my life.

Even if I want to fat now, its no more possible because I no get money to dey purchase rice, and easily, I dey maintain my weight and waist line.

Abi!

I would be ashamed to carry a placard displaying #EndSARS.

I prefer to carry #EndYahooboys and #EndCorruption.

Maybe #ReformSars.
Well, I'm not against the protest. I want Nigerians without fear. So if this is the beginning, then it is welcome

I think people from SE are wise. FG is looking for an opportunity to unleash the Nigerian military on them. Believe me, if they should protest against SARS, IPOB and MASSOB would hijack it.

This will give the FG the reason to deploy massive force there. Let them just maintain. As for the North, if Jonathan was the president, they would have joined. But since it is PMB, any protest from Nigerians is a protest against Buhari.
I agree with you

I don’t know why we need all these policemen in our society.

Bank robbery, they are not capable..

Highway robbery, they run away with their guns..

Bandit attacks on communities, na!

Call them you are being attacked at home, they tell you no fuel in their vehicle or the officer holding the key to Arsenal is not around...

Kidnapping, na the police them go first yamutu..

Imagine a whole divisional headquarters in a popular town in kwara was attacked and all policemen on duty were killed! And the robbers had a good day robbing 5 banks without any hitch!

I think government should stop wasting funds on this organization and simply direct each ethnics or community to protect themselves. Yes! IT WILL WORK!
I agree

CrimeRe: Security Officer Joins EndSARS Protest In Lagos (VIDEO) by ModestGal(f):
How come I do not know SARS, nor do I know what they are doing until recently. In fact, I don't know anyone that has been involved or have anything to do with SARS

Well, this has shown that this protest is a selfish protest, if all these Nigerian celebrities could come out this way, then its because they have been personally affected and they are somehow connected to frauds.

I want to believe SARS has stepped on the big toes and thus this protest

It means Nigerians can actually do something about it current state, but they prefer to keep quiet. It means all these celebrities have intentionally kept quiet and not do anything about the state of Nigeria because it doesn't affect them

Why can't we have protest about policemen? Our policemen have reduced to Nothing, why can't we call for Reformation of the Nigerian police Force? Isn't it an embarrassment that Nigerian police only come to robbery scenes hours after robbery?
That all they do is harrass innocent citizens walking past robbery areas days after
Can't we protest about collecting 50# on roads?
No one will respect a country with a police force that amounts to Nothing.

I will only be happy if this protest include ending all these old politicians that has nothing to offer Nigeria. All our intelligent people that have traveled abroad, we need them back in Nigeria, government should do something to attract them to Nigeria, We need intelligent minds to run this country. #End corruption. #End ASUU Strike #End rotten Education #End jobless Youth #Reform Nigeria.

If this happen, then I will make sure I gather people to protest as well, and nothing less than 100 people

Protest in Nigeria? What a waste of time. FGN only react to situations that threaten their peace.

Just like the predictable NLC, government will make empty promises they don't intend to keep, the gullible masses will go home happy. But the armed robbery by SARS personnel continues.

Next year, the process will be repeated.

Shut the hell up, the problem is with weaklings like you that is only interested in looking for faults or how to say the few people with bravely protesting are wasting their time. If people like you can just keep shut, then I'm sure we will have more brave Nigerians

SmartPolician:
Just like someone once said, we love free things in this country. But when we see the negative impact, we start complaining.

Without fear of contradiction, university education is not for everyone because it is veryyyyyyyy expensive.

In this part of the world, we make it look as though everyone must attend high institutions. It's wrong! We need to develop our technical capacity by funding our vocational and technical schools.

Universities are supposed to be self-financed institutions that pioneer research and development in countries.

But our universities are glorified secondary schools because of institutional corruption and poor funding.

Ondo State varsities should keep their tuitions high, but make sure they produce employable, world-class graduates.
Like, since they have been increasing tuition fees, the state of affairs of Universities keep going down. I pity hypocrites like you

The summary from all the comments I read on this thread has further proven the stark ignorance of most Nigerians as regards mental health. But what we fail to realize is that up to 20% of its populace likely need psychiatric evaluation.

This woman clearly lacks insight and is acutely unwell. And it's quite unfortunate the kids are gone but the ignorance of their father like many Nigerians failed this woman and their children cos she needed help, called for it yet no one answered.

Well she's not going to jail if that's what you think and it's quite logical cos what she need is psych evaluation and treatment.

And pls if you do not know much about mental health, kindly avoid quoting me. I blame the system though.

Dude should go on and enjoy his 2nd wife since that's what matters most to him.
Well, to me, the husband need to go to jail. He killed the children because the wife told him but he refused to care.
As for the comments, it has ascertain that an average Nigerian or Nairalander is dumb, especially those saying shes jealous. The story has nothing to do with second wife yet people keep mentioning second wife and jealousy, Even if shes jealous, is it her own children she would kill, these people are just too dumb

Exactly...

Male privilege to marry as many as possible. She was neglected, developed psychotic problems and the husband didn't even notice. Even after she called him that her kids were threatening to kill her, he must have thought it a joke..

Men causing many ladies to run berserk by their actions since 1540.. undecided
My sister, I only blame the husband not partly, the woman is mentally I'll, told the husband, but he was too busy with the other wife that he doesn't care. May God punish him

If it's free you're offering the training, then I'll take you serious...

If it involves paying, then it's nothing but another marketing gimmick to further enrich yourself.

I've come to realize the best way to make money online is "to teach people how to make money online" this trick has been working for long and people are yet to wise.

Watching YouTube you get piles of ads claiming to make you reach in just an hour, most of these ads are targeted to poor countries like Nigeria...
You wanna teach me how to make $10k in an hour by buying some useless affiliate funnel software for $999... They are mad.
Lol, theres a lot you do not understand, yes, I agree we have people that doesn't know what they are doing, but not all people.
The difference between me and those ones is that, they claim to teach you ''how'', I don't, I claim to teach you a skill, they do not tell you what they want to teach you, but I will tell you from all it is from beginning to the end, which is video making training, this is a skill, and you will see their samples in the training adverts, and, during the course of the training, I will guide you till you create yours and to a point you can go from. And its not possible for you to make what I make instantly, because just like in the story, I read, and I learnt a lot through time
In a job, I make sometimes #100,000 straight, and I'm sure I'm not the biggest earner, we have people that make double that amount within short period of time. Its about impact my brother, I can show you screenshot conversations, my account details and how much I worth.

EducationLet Us Talk About Our Teachers by ModestGal(op): 7:28am On Oct 06, 2020
Narrate the teacher that really helped you in primary/secondary schools

I remember when my Principal was given the best teacher in Nigeria when I was in SS2, it was purely politics and nothing else. The woman was not up to starndard to me, because how can someone who bullies children be the best teacher?

90% of Public school teachers are bullies, they make fun of students from poor homes/poor guardians and turn them to subject of laughter in the class by commenting on their torn cloths, or bad sandals and everyone will laugh. Or tag them ''late comer'' ''Ashewo'' etc without finding the cause of it and helping the child

I remember a school I taught during NYSC, there was a boy who always came late to school, and he would be punished all through, cutting grasses, this happened almost everyday. And in the staffroom, the teachers always said bad things about him and would make fun of him. Even his classmates saw him as a useless person. I was not comfortable with this, I had to go meet the boy where he was uprooting tree one day and I got to know he lived with his Uncle who was poor, and they must go to farm early in the morning before coming to school, and he had no parents. I had to go to his Uncle to tell him to stop doing that to him, I started visiting the man because the truth is, he doesn't even know he was maltreating the boy, because he himself does not look alright.

Then, I started talking to the boy and teaching him specially, believe me, this was when I got to know that the boy is actually brilliant, its just that he doesn't comprehend in Class and he already has low self esteem, he doesn't understand English either but with my interactions with him, I got to know that he was brilliant.

To me,we have good teachers, but most public school teachers are poor and frustrated, and lash out the frustrations on students, I'm not even sure they know what bullying means and understand their students, because most children going to public schools now are from damaged/poor homes experiencing domestic violence. The teachers only concentrate on children that they perceive smart, making others to become jealous.

To solve all these, the government should start relieving stress from teachers, and increase their salary, then they should start giving them trainings, not from those old people with wack mentalities, because that is what they do, when they are doing training for teachers, teaching them rubbish.

one of the reasons Nigerians are backward, and why people pray for luck in what they did not deserve, we want such award to be given when a teacher can successfully boasts of children/students he has successfully molded their lives.

We should also start praising teachers that have helped us on our social media pages. I will praise my mum, she was my Math teacher(not in school, private teacher), and she made me to become very good in Mathematics
