Akainzo: It is clearly You that lacked comprehension skills. The essence of Section 28 is not that you lose your citizenship, but that by Section 66 you cannot hold elective office by virtue of having pledged allegiance to another country.
So once it is proven that Saraki's UK's citizenship is by birth, then he did not voluntarily pledge allegiance to another country and thus he would be protected by Section 28. That is why I wrote that the crux is "IF he was born in the UK."
I hope I have enlightened you a little. Heavenly days! Did you eat oil or is this just how your teeth are?. S.66 begins with "Subject to provisions of Section 28 of this Constitution",what don't you understand about that clear-cut language?.Dude,I advise you go ask for a refund of your fees from whatever educational institution churned you out.You clearly are deficient. |
Politics › Re: Saraki Responds To Sahara Reporters Allegations by modhream: 9:31pm On Aug 09, 2015 |
Akainzo: Truly, he is a Nigerian Citizen by birth as he was born to parents that are Nigerian Citizens by 1960.. However, his failure to answer Question 10 is deliberate as the ONLY way he can then be able to contest is IF he was born in the UK.
Now if he wasn't born in the UK, then he necessarily only acquired that citizenship by other means other than by birth and thus not protected under Section 28.
Soon, he will have to make public his birth certificate for all this to go away. Remember, Obama couldn't live his own down too, and had to publish!
Whether you like them or despise them, SR is definitely helping to advance our democracy. Did you even read the Op where he clearly pointed out provisions of S.28 and those it apply to,as few of us has been doing on various threads here on nl?.Even the relevant pages of Ogbeide v Osula, where the Court of Appeal clearly n rightfully interpreted that a citizen by birth can never forfeit it even if he swears allegiance to the moon colony?.Or is it just that your education is deficient and you lack comprehension skills? |

omenka: Utter rubbish.
Let me repeat:
This statement is nothing but complete bullucks.
Did Saraki write a date of Birth in a column meant for place of birth?? ____ Yes.
Is Saraki Blind or an literate not to know the difference between Place and date of birth?? ____ No.
Was Saraki drunk when filling the form?? ____ Unlikely.
Is Saraki a citizen of the UK?? ____ Yes.
Did Saraki lie in the form on the question of whether he holds citizenship of another country?? ____ Yes.
Whether the motive is genuine or not, Saraki committed a crime of perjury and must be held accountable, period. No amount of paid hacks or media aides spamming the web with inane epistles would change that. Idiot. He was asked if he had "voluntarily acquired" citizenship of another country, not whether he holds citizenship of another country.I know English is not your first language, but that shouldn't be too hard for even you to understand. HungerBAD: Perjury is a very serious offense and a ground for impeachment.
He might want to say, his aides filled out the forms, but the most important thing here is WHO SIGNED THE FORMS? Saraki, as long as you are the one that signed it.
Then you are guilty in the public court of opinion,of perjury. And all that needs to be done by the APC is to formally take you to court, where you will be be found guilty in the court of the land for perjury.
Ignorance, they say is not an excuse before the law. And that is why any Public Paper that can be requested for, has to be properly vetted before anybody should sign it.
APC let us do the needful, and kick this fraud out as the Senate President.
In my Grandmother's Voice. GOD DON CATCH AM. Idiot. There's no perjury anywhere,Bukola was born both Nigerian and British by virtue of his parentage and place of birth. There never was a change of nationality as he retained both citizenships as of right of birth.Kindly read Section 25(1)c to get educated. Infact ive observed that the social civilization of igbos from kingdoms ie Onitsha,Asaba,Oguta,Arochukwu,Anioma is different from the hinterland igbos. The former have calmer easy going but well cultured attitudes, whereas the latter although very hardworking have low social civilization skills and organization and its hence understandable while they(the former) didnt want to identify as igbos historically. Nonsense. Which hinterland Igbo group have you observed, that lack/have low social civilization skills cum organization?.Or you're just pulling turds out of you anus?. When did having kings or one-man rulership now become the same as civilization and social graces?.FYI,I'm of Uruagu-Nnewi royalty and those puny kingdoms you mentioned can't hold a candle up to us in terms of antiquity n social civilization. ray78: But the term igbo is an ethnicity not limited to regional demarcations.Yorubas are not only found in the south west you know, there are yorubas in the north states ie Kogi and Kwara state. They are called Okun yorubas. They have more Hausa charcteristics but they proudly align with the yoruba race. View the map of igboland and see that ideally "igbo" stretches from Agbor in the Midwest to even Aba.SouthEastern igbos need to stop pushing away South South igbos that want to identify with igbos, even in southeastern igboland, the communities that had Kings historically didnt want to be identified as Igbos.Ask Onitsha,Oguta and Arochukwu people about their history. They all saw refered to themselves by their hometown, and looked down on their hinterland(igbo) neighbours who were not as culturally organized as them or had noble kingships. It conitinued until the 1930s when the Igbo Union was formed and igbos had started excelling in education and government that these communities reluctantly decide to be called ïgbo".Till today the native Onitsha man silently despises the traders from Nnewi and other hinterland areas that messed up Onitsha city because of ambitious quest for money. Nnewi messed up Onitsha, when and how?. Careful with that your revisionism. Btw,Nnewi has been an organized hereditary monarchies right from inception in the 11th century, centuries before anybody thought to do so in Onitsha, but we've never looked down on any of our neighbours |

PvtParts: "And ye shall be like gods"
Do you know which verse in the bible that quote is from and who said it?
The New Age Doctrine you subscribe to in the form of liberal politics is of the devils way.
I know that you struggle with deep guilt and anger over your lifestyle and the only reason you fagg0ts want to for e this your depraved lifestyle on all of us is because you feel that if we all accept it then you will not have all this guilt.
Pray and believe in GOD and call the name of Jesus to help you out of this bondage you exist.
Homosexuality is an evil choice just like drug addiction.
Nobody was born gay but they get turned gay.
Don't you see normal couples on the streets or a man and his wife and kids and wish for that for yourself?
There is nothing more beautiful and tempting than a woman in this world. You don't know what you are missing.
Pray to God for he is the only one that can set you free and no matter how far gone or sick you feel of this homosexual life, GOD will make anew with your life. It is never too late.
I want you to say this prayer :
Father God in Heaven, I come to you seeking refuge. I come to you as my only supplicant. Father God heal me of this sin. Father God make me a man that you created. Father God forgive me of all my sins.
I pray thee this prayer through your only begotten son , Yeshua.
Amen. In one breath, you said they weren't born gay but turned. In another you say they don't know what they're missing. That tells me Confused is your middlename. Worst of all,you take God's name in vain while cursing at the same time.In Old Testament times, that would earn you death by stoning at least. |

When the time is right, Okowa will tell you that he is not Igbo and like always, you will be crestfallen or of youre lucky he might belong to the less than ten percent who are not ashamed of calling themselves Igbos. So, whether Okowa or your Agbor friends are Igbo is immaterial. What matters is that majority of them don't like the Igbo tag. Who brought in Babangida here?.Has anyone ever thought him Igbo?. I mentioned Okowa's father for a reason, last interview he granted Vanguard less than a month ago,he proclaimed himself Igbo. His son can't go contrary to that. You do know they're from Owa,right?.Thus far,I'm yet to come across any real person from Owa who disclaim being Igbo |

Afam4eva: The few times that I have read your comments especially on the Igbo issue, I can see that you are one who uses logic. It's not safe to say most Delta Igbos deny being Igbo. It is safe to say that people from the Ika and Ukwuani axis are the ones who majorly deny being Igbo but not people from Aniocha and Oshimili. Okocha for instance will not come and tell you that he is not Igbo but Sunday Oliseh can do that and they are both from Delta state. priscaoge: Its not based on offertory, I answered Ur question. Judging from what u asked before i replied with that, If u know that paying a tithe will be hard on u, why not pay d amount u will not grudge over? You still haven't shown me where d bible said its a MUST to give 10%(according to u) to a church as a tithe. Even Ur quotation didn't say anything like that. Go and read Lev 28:30 u will know that tithes is not only about money. Then Malachi 3:8-12 also made me to understand that one can also rob God through offering and not tithes alone. I still want to know where it stated specifically that one MUST pay 10% as tithe. Actually,Old Testament tithe was never money or income but agricultural produce for those who inherited the land or husband animals. And of course,Deut.14:22-29 is the main authority on tithe |
