PoliticsRe: Did The Military Really Deny Muhammadu Buhari's Claim? by modhream: 9:15am On Jan 03, 2015
lekkie073:
Yes
Reason objectively....
Why didn't obj during his time make such pronouncements that his certificates are with the military board
Why would GMB refer to a non existent office? Secretary of the military board. Military don't use such titles in the hierarchy structure

Why would the military in the first place be in possession of his original certificates

The truth will soon be out.
In the meantime tell tinubu to show GMB the way to Toronto .......maybe they can as well get GMB one too
Ediot!
There's actually the office of Army secretary,Navy Secretary, etc.
Jesus, where do you worms come up with these lies?

i've kinda thought of this for a while, but seem not to understand it well, hence the need to ask the Nobles in the house.

i've witnessed/watched the swearing-in ceremonies of Presidents and Governors;in each case, the Chief Judge always ask the individual whether He or She is a Christian or Muslim. After which a Bible or Quran is given to the individual as the case may be.

my question now is;does the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria recognise Religion?

Welcome to 2015!
Yes,the Constitution recognize religion. Our secularity is defined as freedom of religion AND freedom from religion. The freedom to practice whatever religion one chooses or to abstain from any.

U keep rubbishing urself,Ngwakwe.Give it up.Learn to keep quiet in the face of superior argument n unassailable facts.Last paragraph of that news report u quoted said the minister of petroleum will soon make their own report public. That was in December 2013,we're almost in 2015 now.
The one we're now asking for if the one the MOF herself instituted, after admitting $10b is missing.Time is due n well past she promised to make it public,WHERE IS THE REPORT?

Look at No. 10 for example.

$4.2 Billion was used to generate over 6,000 MW of electricity in China, meanwhile Nigeria is struggling to generate 3,000 MW
Two of that at a cost of $8.5b will give us 12000mw or more, enough to jumpstart our economy, unleash the creative n industrial spirit of our people.

this cannot berecent pictures because we are not in rainy season.

Yes the road is not yet completed but work is seriously going on in it. Bridge head to Tazan has been totaly completed it just remains making betwen Upper iweka & Inosi Onira (Ziks house round about.)

Those saying cheap project are just haters and enimies of progress. The road was scraped to over 4feet deep some places like Unizik Junction was scraped over 10feet deep before they started working on it...

GEJ has not fulfilled all his electoral promise to Ndi Anambra but he has done some...

Willie is really continueing & completing what Peter Obi started with GEJ‘s permission...
Dude,u make total sense which i quite like. What irks me is the OP wants to use this road as campaign material for PDP federal administration n I say a capital NO to that.If anyone should have bragging rights,it should be the APGA-led administration in Anambra state, past n present.PDP should go look for their campaign material elsewhere, maybe work on n finish the Amansi-Ninth Mile portion in record time.If they want to use this one, they should refund us all our money spent on it fast.
One ignoramus here even said it's being done with SURE-P funds, smh

"Section 91 (9) of the Electoral Act stipulates that an individual or other entity shall not donate more than N1, 000,000.00 to any candidate.

It is as clear as the crystal that all those individuals, groups of individuals and companies that donated more than N1 Million towards the campaign of President Jonathan have contravened Section 91 (9) of the Electoral Act.

Section 91 (10) of the Electoral Act says that candidate who knowingly acts in contravention of this section commits an offence and on conviction is liable in the case of Presidential election, to a maximum fine of N1, 000,000.00 or imprisonment for a term of 12 months or both."

Question is should a President watch his citizens flout extants of a constitution he swore to protect and applaud them in his speech?

These are the youths we say must take over leadership from the old folks. The Mr-Know-It-All lawyer to be who wrote this smartly quoted extant portions which favours his argument and leaves the above in a bid to justify his jaundiced neutral-non-Jonathan position. The law was flouted with gross impunity but as usual we will move on. The ruling party in Nigeria will never do no wrong. There are always hordes of unsolicited beggars-for-alms Nigerians who will come to their defence.
Of course, the 1diot job-hunter will overlook those pesky sections. All those billions to be grabbed n u don't want him having a seat in the room when it's being done?.

emmasege:
In addition, if he must pick VP from the old eastern region, it must be from the s/east. No sane s/southerner will vote for Amaechi as VP when there's an alternative of Jonathan as president. But he can use s/east VP choice to get significant number of votes from the region.
Also, Jonathan will have to double up his campaign in the north, particularly in the middle belt where religious sentiment may work for him. because this time around, buhari may get twice the number of votes he got in 2011 in the north east & west.
However it goes, jonathan will stil get the required one quarter in at least two thirds of the states in the federation. Even if he loses some northern states,he will still get the required number of votes. But I still have my doubt if buhari will be able to win two thirds of the states going by his records in 2011 election. Based on my own prediction, it will be hard for buhari to get one quarter of total votes cast in the following states: Bayelsa, Rivers, cross rivers, akwa ibom, edo, delta, enugu, imo, anambra, ebonyi, abia, benue, plateau, ekiti & ondo (15 states, leaving him with just 21 & falling short of the required 24 states). Run off is not an impossibility in the next general election.
Kindly take out Anambra in that your calculation n we'll be good.
My problem with tribalists on both sides of the political spectrum this forum,is that they don't even know the road to Anambra or has been years last they were here yet they presume to speak for us.

It's not all about party thing, guy u quoted told u APGA has the best candidate among the crop contesting in Abia so far,it was not a dig at APC or whatever.
You first raised the issue of sentiments in politics, that's actually the problem APC has in Igboland. They throw up candidates based on sentiment n expect igbos to follow accordingly,we are not sheep.Ngige,ur test candidate in Igboland is only popular in parts of Anambra state n the Nigerian media, not the whole state. That's why he lost, not because APC is forbidden anywhere.Put up a good candidate here,as you do in Lagos, and see if he would not make an appreciable impact.Heck,APC has elected HOA members here, they didn't fall from the moon.
I really get tired of people like you who colour every political discourse, especially as concern the East, with your tribal shit. Not even sure you've been as far from home as Benin city as to make you any sort of authority on Igbo politics.

And no,u don't need to be a member of the majority party in the house in order to be Speaker or President. It helps, but it's not necessary.Tambuwal was elected with the votes of opposition members n a sprinkling of PDP reps,it will take a major movement in the house for PDP to be able to successfully impeach him.
