The fact is that Nigeria, irrespective of her Natural endowments and God given resources, is not only economically far behind, but also wallowing in avoidable recession!

Maybe that's not the fact?

... And we are more factually saying that Nigeria needs more time, maybe another 100years to get it right?... Another fact right?

.... Maybe another fact is that Nigeria knows what she wants.... hence the contraption must continue?

His visit to the courthouse is fruitless. Or did his visit make any difference?

Some of you folks shouting Biafra have not sat down to even think of the way forward if it eventually happens.

Even the rich igbos we all are looking up to for development in the region have never for once come out to support this movement. You think they are insensitive Too?

Until we sit down and get it right first in our regions, until we sit down and start developing ourselves, until we sit down and curb corruption totally amongst us,until we sit down and have a structure laid, both the priest and you all going to march in courthouses will just be fruitless

Have you ever wondered why no tribe takes us serious concerning Biafra? Even those who joined during the Civil War like the Itshekiris are gradually pulling out

Sit down and think before taking sides. It helps

my bad, but still they are the same in every way both in hardware and design don't really know people view on this 4x sef. note 4 mtk was first made in China then note 4 SD for india and global. But since the Chinese wanna ve a feel of the SD chipset, they now made the 4x version for them. In summary, note 4 SD and Note 4x are the same just the name difference to signify the device region. If I hadn't ordered for note 4x,I would ve grabbed this sweet opportunity, instead of having my device torn down just to flash the global rom, whereas the other one everything has been done for u from the factory and its much more stable and even boast of more 4g network bands.
Are you preferring SD over 4x?

The Ibekwe guy is writting nonsense. Amnesty International had already announced that it has incontrovertible evidence that the Nigerian security agencies shot and killed unarmed IPOB. The Aba shooting is still on youtube, the Portharcourt shootings are are also on youtube for the world to see.

Despite the huge amount of evidence against it, the Nigerian Army shamelessly announced it would investigate the shooting. How can a participant in an examination also mark his papers?

How can a judge ajudicate a case where he is the accused? Can a detective investigate a case where he is a suspect?

The Nigerian Army should have supported independent investigation. It is an insult to any intelligent person for them to say they are going to investigate a case where they are the accused.

Politics › Re: Buhari Can Be Impeached Over Magu – Senator Okurounmu by modik(m): 2:03am On Apr 03, 2017
adetoroamos:
PRESIDENT BUHARI, AGAIN, LISTEN.....
Let me update you on a little bit of history about a few things that happened in the National Assembly:
Between 1999 and 2003 the following happened:
1. President Obasanjo imposed Senator Evan(s) Enwerem as Senate President on all the senators, but when the media - yes, the media - exposed Senator Enwerem as being an ex-convict who cleverly changed his name from Evan to Evans so that he could deceive INEC and voters to become a senator, Obasanjo mobilized and sacked him as Senate President, and nothing happened!
2. The charismatic, brilliant and stylish Chuba Okadigbo became Senate President against the wishes of President Olusegun Obasanjo, but when Okadigbo awarded a contract of a mere sum of 12 million Naira without advertisemen, or without due process, as is said these days, Obasanjo again mobilized and sacked Chuba Okadigbo as Senate President, and nothing happened!
3. After Chuba Okadigbo, President Obasanjo imposed Senator Adolphus Wabara on the senate as Senate President, but when Wabara took part in receiving and sharing a bribe of a mere sum of 50 million Naira from the Minister of Education at that time, Obasanjo ordered the arrest and immediate prosecution of Senator Adolphus Wabara, and nothing happened!
4. President Obasanjo imposed Honourable Salisu Buhari on the House of Reps as their Speaker in 1999, but when the media - yes, again, the media - exposed Hon. Salisu Buhari as having forged a degree certificate purportedly from a university in Toronto, Canada, Obasanjo mobilized and got him removed as House Speaker, and nothing happened!
5. Now, I wouldn't waste time talking about House Speaker Patricia Ette matter, as that case had no any form of interference from late President Umaru Yar'Adua!
BUT HERE COMES THE WORST.... JUST IN 2014...
6. President Goodluck Jonathan ordered the unlawful removal of the security aides of House Speaker Aminu Tambuwal, and NOTHING HAPPENED!
7. President Goodluck Jonathan ordered the gates of the National Assembly to be shut against House Speaker Aminu Tambuwal and other legislators, and NOTHING HAPPENED!
8. President Goodluck Jonathan ordered the police to teargas the National Assembly, specifically against House Speaker Aminu Tambuwal and other legislators, and NOTHING HAPPENED! Not even a whimper nor condemnation through a resolution was heard from the Senate!
NOW HERE IS THE DEAL....
• If a ruler like Obasanjo interfered in the affairs of the National Assembly to clamp down on either certificate forgers or bribe takers or for contract award "without due process", and NOTHING HAPPENED,
• And if a notoriously corrupt ruler like Jonathan clamped down on Speaker Tambuwal; shut the gates against him; teargassed him; withdrew his security cover, and NOTHING HAPPENED, what do you think will happen if a man of integrity like you clamps down on all criminals masquerading as senators in the Senate?
NOTHING WILL HAPPEN, I assure you!
In your own case, you have the massive support of majority of Nigerians to decisively clamp down on these rogues, including the unflinching support of many prominent legal luminaries. So just crush them and liberate Nigeria.... After all, that's the reason we put you in power - to liberate Nigeria from crooks, criminals, and gangsters occupying positions of power!
Shakespeare famously said you have to be cruel to be kind.... In other words, you have to be cruel to gangsters, criminals, and rogues in the Senate so that you will be kind to the poor people they seek to destroy with their corruption. Cruelty to crooks like Saraki and his gang by you will be an act of kindness to poor Nigerians. That's the deal. A committee cannot tame criminals.
my name is omitibayo adetoro amos
My reaction to that is that we are being governed by gangsters. There are gangsters in the legislature; there are gangsters in the executive, there are gangsters in the customs. All over, we are being governed by gangsters. It is a case of the pot and the kettle chasing each other. None of them has clean hands. They are all terrible characters. Sometimes they tend to be vindictive on one another because they are all committing crimes.
You probably overlooked the highlighted content.

Could it be battle of "wits" that is raging between the two arms of government?

If true, Nigerians can intelligently guess where the pendulum would finally rest.!!

Our society is full of dumb suckers so naturally, we all keep electing dumb suckers as leaders. Our leaders are product of our society and they reflect our true qualities, values and character.
I beg to disagree with you. Each and everyone of us is not to blame for the quality of candidate presented by political parties for election. The electorate has no hand in primary selection of candidates.

I am of the opinion our various political platforms vested with the sole responsibility of screening their candidates prior presentation to the electorates have failed us. The shoddy jobs they do is the reason we have dumbos on saddle.

Quite true. I take that blame. Again, the 'contraption' might have been birthed by a Brit, it does not take away the fact that an Igbo man moved against the Hausas when they considered leaving the 'contraption'.

It is pretty much interesting to know that his speech and anti-secession pact which is coming to haunt most Igbos today is not being frowned at. If there seems to be an anomaly anywhere, it is allowing the Hausas stay against their wish.

For the umpteenth time, what is the Biafran ideology?
Thanks for re-establishing the position of unbiased Biafrans with respect to setting records straight.

For the rest of your concerns, all I have to say is that Igbos can never live in the past. A dynamic set of people understand their mistakes and correct themselves without external influence.

I have a parable to lay on the table for you and I will interpret :

"Anaghi agwa onye mara Ihe ka O site n'okpuru anyanwu wesuga onwe ya"

Meaning, only a fool waits for others to remind him to channge his position from under the heated sun rays.

Tell a whole lot of lies to yourself to massage your ego. As it stands, every region has its secession plan, save the Hausas. They are not ready because they rely on the Oil in the Delta, at least, pending when oil would be discovered in Benue and the Basin.

The Yorubas have the Afenifere who has always made their interest known as piloting the Odùduwà region, just as the Delta areas have been whispering the Niger Delta region. So trust me, until 2/3 of the Delta scream Biafra, know that a referendum of the entire region is nothing but a pipeline dream.

Unfortunately, the 'contraption' is the brain child of the late Nnamdi Azikiwe. The Hausas never wanted to be a part but he claimed other regions needed them. Therefore, if there is anyone you should be cussing and cursing for your woes, it is none other than the late Zik who thought to wake hornets with fire.

So tell me again, what is it the ideology of Biafra that the Hausas and some Yoruba people share?
The issue here is use of English and semantics.

Pardon me for mismatched elitism.

The contention is distortion/misplacement of facts. You mentioned the contraption as Zik's "brainchild " which is wrong. He supported the idea, but never originated it.

See the meaning of brainchild as attached.

The greatest lie is that told against the dead(Zik)

For the sake of historic fact, let me bring you to speed by telling you what you already know :

1. When was Zik born? (hint, flip your N500 note for answer)

2. When was the Northern and Southern Protectorates merged by Lord Lugard ("The contraption"wink... )

3.How old was Zik of Africa then?

Your objective response to the above questions go further to corroborate the unbalanced and sentimental viewpoint as already established on here about the OP and his fellow comrades.

Here are my points and their reactions so far (correlate them with the initial issues I raised):
1. They say they no longer want Urhobo-Isoko and Itsekiri anymore. At least one of them confirmed this. I am glad they are no longer interested. That was documented and saved.
That is to show you how objectively minded the Biafrans are.

2. They say I should provide PROOF that minorities are not interested in Biafra grin grin. This thread alone is PROOF. How many people from minority tribes have come to counter my postulations? NONE!!! How many have come to support me? MANY!!! The truth is glaring. I even posted links to official statements from these groups and they said it was political. grin grin grin
Empirical proof of your 1% claim is still awaited

3. The whole thread is a big show of emotional rambling, rather than arguments by reason. None failed to see through the veil and face the facts. They simply had to show their stripes.
If you argued with reason and facts, you would have supported your assertions with verifiable empirical evidences. Are you guilty of same offense as you acuse Biafrans?

4. The Lugardian spirit is still very much active. They hide under the ruse of a referendum to annexe SS and minority tribes. Have we asked for a referendum via any means? Only the Igbos have asked for one and why are they shoving it down our throats? They want distinct and unrelated ethnic groups from various linguistic roots in their new nation. What makes it different from Nigeria? None can answer. Promised land indeed.
To prove you are biased, let me ask you a rhetorical quesrion: Did Lugard conduct Referendum before merging North and South together? I read a gamut of sentiment from your point of reference.
Biafrans are calling for Referendum, not a forced marriage as you acknowledged in #1

5. Only one or two persons have made intellectually oriented statements here. The rest are moore concerned with defending the IGBO RACE, over and above their so-called brothers in BIAFRA. Intellectuals would know when to fight and when to be sombre and talk like adults. The ones that came with the intent of derailing this thread all failed woefully and I showed them, in the real spirit of Urhobo, that I am better than them and above their level by far.
You are in the habit of acusing others over a fault highly exhibited by you. Last time I checked, this thread is crafted to defend ethnic minorities in which you are one.huhhuh huh?? huh??

Again, I wish the Biafrans well. I just hope I have been able to substantiate my issues via this thread! We all can see the truth oozing from this thread like the mene mene tekel upharsin!

My work here is done!!!
You ended up confirming all intelligent observations and allegations leveled against you based on your unfounded and sentimental premises.

You know, you can as well take a referendum to the Yorubas or Hausas. One thing is this, I don't need to act as the voice of the Urhobo nation before it takes every one of us to figure why IPOB is interested in lumping us with them.

A referendum would only affect a part of Delta and not the entire state.
Maybe someone is not following the trend.

For your information, many housas and Yorubas share in the ideology of Biafra. I overheard an housaman publicly profess his unshakable loyalty to Biafra if they leave, that he would seek its citizenship.
