I really commend the Government Cameroon and the Handlers (both government officials and the technical crew) for the victory. They like Steven Covey had the end in mind (even from the beginning). They saw themselves winning the trophy and had even gone to do the Jersey "Champions 17" for every player and official of the team which was distributed to them after the final whistle. Unlike Nigeria that her Female Team went to a competition and we never expected them to win - what a shame of a nation and her. |
LASG can also consider working in partnership with FAAN to excise part of the land bordering Shasha (from around Ile-Zik and former Punch Estate) to burst out at down-down Shasha Orisumbare so as to create a parallel access road to people living around and commuting from Shasha, Ikotun, Ejigbo and environs without necessarily congesting Egbada-Idimu, Akowonjo, Cement and Mongoro axis. This could a tolled link-road with FAAN collecting (the toll) at the entry point while LASG collects at the exit or vice-versa. |
When the living fails in their responsibilities, one is forced to begin to extol and give credit to the dead (Aisedeede ara aye lo mu ka maa Ranti ero Orun - Yoruba anecdote). How come this Govt has degenerated to this level in spite of our confidence that the messiah had come at its inception? Well, let's see what the promise in 2017 Budget will yield before we conclude that we are not in a One-Chance Bus. |
It is myopic of anyone and indeed a Yoruba man to think along this line. While one will not support a break-up of the entity called Nigeria, if it happens, everybody (I mean every unit be it geo-political or ethnic group will wake up the survival instincts in them and move on. Don't forget, every unit has areas where they have the competitive advantage over the other - and that will become the spring-board to shoot up in the survival race. Let no race look down on themselves neither should anyone under-rate their abilities even as we strive to continue to live together in Peace and Unity. |
patriotic9jaboy:Men this is heartless! How can you think of moving on so soon and just like that! Where is Love? Where is Human feeling? You must be one of those who see relationship from just what you get out of it (material or sensual benefits) and no emotional feelings for the other party. I pirry he/she that will fall into your hands |
This calls for more investigation. Psychologists and Health Practitioners must be engaged to interact with the girls. Does it mean that the guys were using condoms or that the girls were on pills or not fertile? Certainly it won't be that they were not touched. Or could it be that the insurgents collected the children born out the relationship to carry on with "the struggle"? Government has the duty to know and thus be in best position to help these unfortunately fortunate women/girls. |
If you say there is evil spirit in Aso Rock, I will ask you, "Who was the first tenant there"? Perhaps you've forgotten the first tenant was a Genius (if you say "Evil" - na you know oh!) |
This is unarguably the seat of Islamic Religion taking bold and pragmatic steps in addressing the economic challenges of the time yet our own government - Federal, States and LGs will be lilly-livered to remove sponsorship to Mecca. I think this is just what our "Rulers" need to explain to their followers that the times are changing and drastic changes must be made to the way we think and/or do things. |
The reasons adduced may be true, but the effect of the recession wouldn't have been this devastating had government been able to manage the Niger Delta Crises properly. Imagine if our refineries produce about 85% of our fuel consumption. The implication is that we won't need so much Dollars to import finished products - as such dollars expended on fuel importation would have been available to manufacturers. Also imagine if we are selling 2.2 mbpd as budgeted (instead of the current 1.7mbpd that we now do as result of vandalisation) at the recent rate of $47. Imagine the effect that would have had on our inflow. I think government really needs to wake up and resolve the Niger Delta Crises and free us from this imposed suffering as a result of our obstinacy or trying to prove a point. |
Where is the location of the farm? How many acres are involved? What's your phone contact? |

My amiable Gov. Please which location is the factory going to be sited so I can cash in early by putting up my All-Purpose (all cadre) Cafeteria around the factory? |
I totally disagree with the position taken by this Senator on why Nigerians were enjoying during Jonathan's reign than now. From my understanding of the situation, GEJ could not blame his predecessors because there was no reason to blame them. The two administrations before him left huge foreign reserves for him to spend unlike the near empty treasury he left behind. Another reason Nigerians were seemingly enjoying then was the level of stealing and profligacy that characterised the government. As they stole, some of the loot fell by the wayside and people help themselves to the "windfall". Does he also remember that during GEJ's administration, crude sold for as high as $110 per barrel? Can he now compare that with the present dispensation of $50 per barrel? Fact is fact no matter how politically beclouded we may become. |
It's rather unfortunate that the leaders are merely looking at what they are saving from this criminal act but not at who are the perpetrators with a view to bring them to justice. Even if it is simple Civil Service rule, should be meted out to them. When Directors General under whose watch such an infraction is established are demoted by three grades, others will learn and sit up. |
What a story of the good old days of Nigeria populated by God fearing men and women. If it were this age, they will frustrate the man out of the job by falsehood and dubious character. People who contribute, N100 but will swear with Bible/Quaran that it was N1000 they contributed. And if that does not work, they will go to court to seek injunction restraining the man from operating until the substantive suit is heard! When shall truthfulness return to our country? |
This is a very sad dimension in the run-up to the governorship election in Kogi State. Be that as it may and since the Electoral Law is silent on what to do, I sincerely believe that the most credible thing to do in this regard is to revert to "DON" "Doctrine of Necessity" which was used to ease the logjam that we as a nation found ourselves in the terrible sickness of President Yar-Adua (of blessed memory). With that, we were able to wriggle out of the situation which allowed Dr. Goodluck Jonathan assuming the leadership of the nation. In the case on hand, Mr. Abiodun Faleke the running mate to Alhaji Abubakar Audu should be called upon to step up as the Governorship candidate while the re-run of election in the affected LGs should be concluded based on the already counted votes. |
feran15:If Uniben is discounted by the Federal Government because Nigerian citizens pay tax, shouldn't Covenant and other universities owned by the religious bodies pity their church members through whose tithes, offerings and levies the universities were built? Its rather an irony that these supposed "Men of God" used monies from their churches to build universities and they now scheme children of most members with exorbitant fees/levies - "Dia'z God oh!" |
It is possible in the following circumstances: 1. If they both realise they are SS; what's the need to marry and be perpetual sorrow? 2. If it has been an arrangee relationship all along; they may mutually break to prevent a major disaster in future |
