When did this event hold? I'm just being curious because reports have it that and I quote https://www.nairaland.com/6333516/women-affairs-minister-pauline-tallen#97471133 Has when been cleared? Or the people hobnobbing with her here have taken the Pfizer vaccine? |
If this case will not be prosecuted free of charge to government, the prosecution had better been advised to withdraw the case because it is still going to end up in fuitility. The mighty knows how to buy justice in Nigeria and it will be wasting the tax payers' money. Throw up the hand fan two hundred times; it will land on the flat side! |
Nobody is saying Adesina should not serve his master and very well for that matter. But he should sacrifice the Yorubas on the altar of his blind loyalty to a failed and consistently failing regime. He probably will need to ask from those who did same in the past to learn what their political end turned out to be. |
After Buhari has listened to his cabal based on which he addressed the nation yesterday flexing muscles. Of what use is the meeting today? Is it that they will hail him or condemn his speech? Or will he now after the meeting arrange another address? A nation in search of leaders who will learn to put the horse before the cart! |
I plead with Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and other former Presidents/Heads of State to urgently convene an Emergency Meeting of National Council of State to find a solutions to the problems on ground because the current administration looks overwhelmed or that they are more parochial than being nationalistic in proffering solutions to the problems on hand. This is more than ethnic chauvinistic idea. We need a national outlook to get out of the current quagmire. |
This would have been a very laudable step by government if only the policy is well thought of and back by realistic measures. For example, who pays teachers' salaries - State and/or Local government. Is there an increase in allocation to these tiers of government? The last minimum wage increase is still creating serious upheavls is many states and local government. Here is the Federal Government making another provocative increment pronuncement. |
Much as I won't support any form of highhandedness, recent happenings within APC points to orchestrated moves to whittle down BAT's influence in the party and then rubbish his much touted 2023 Aso Rock aspirations. Unfortunately, this move will only succeed at destabilising the South (more especially the SW) in the quest to produce the next President. But the question we southerners should ask ourselves and provide objective answer to is; do we want to continue under the current contraption? Time will tell! |
"Can you see what am saw" in the words of Zebrudaya? Well, I see a C-in-C in Wike come 2023. Not even with his success story at Edo last two weeks! |
It is not the number of these agencies that matter but the effectiveness. How many years have we had JAMB in Nigeria and what effect do we have from that agency until the current helmsman (Prof Ishaq Oloyede) came on board and changed the whole contraption? So if not for his doggedness and resolve to make a difference, may be government would have thought of creating agencies for Polytechnics and Colleges of Education admission boards. Didn't you read the allegation this morning from Itse Sagay that a highly placed lawyer in government circle is the one putting sand sand in the jollof rice of crime fighting in Nigeria? So create fifty agencies, they will still frustrate the effectiveness of all. But put the right people in the few ones we have, we will be up there in terms of achievement. |
I honestly don't know what has come over NLC for some years/decades now. To say we are not getting the best from them is an understatement. Or how to you explain the current situation when workers are totally marginalised and no one to fight for them? It is the same NLC that compromised in the issue of Minimum Wage and settled for N30,000 even when legislators are taking millions every month. A case of workers are under the scorching sun whereas those to spend it are in various government houses! |
May God Almighty bless those behind this decision to revert to the old normal and progressive order that the chaotic era foisted on the state by a regime of reactionary myopically confusers Never shall we see such a drawback again in the state. |
This may be viewed differently by whoever is involved in the assessment. To a media practcioner, it will be a welcome development. However, a civil rights and/or pro-democracy activist may see it as greasing the palm of the members of the fourth estate of the realm with a view to looking the other way especially in the face of tyranny and glaring cases of sleaze in the very places nowadays. For government to come clear of such allegation, they should then make the rain touch every realm or sectors of the economy as far as the COVID-19 issues are concerned. Government should do something to assuage the Aviation sector, the education sector especially the private school who will have to pay salaries without tuition payment and small scale industries who also closed down and restarting is still a great problem to them now. |
So why setting 160 as the cut off mark if there are students who were able to perform well to this extent. It means the mean for the exam should be around 200 - 220. Why not retain the 200 cut off mark? Is it to be able to "carry our national burden" without qualms ![]() |
Meeen! Why did these guys separate in the first instance? Why can't they come back together again even if it's to be releasing one colabo record yearly ![]() |
It is only God that is sustaining this country else politicians would have milked her dry. Imagine the Lagos Ibadan Expressway that Obasanjo Administration awarded to Babalakin's company how many years ago. Yar'adua came, he mentioned it in his budget, Jonathan also awarded the contract. Now it is Buhari and yet it will not be ready until 2022. Imagine how many budgets year in year out have seen money pumped to the road and yet the project is still uncompleted! Imagine the headaches Julius Berger has given to people on that road! Imagine the number of lives that have been list to the carelessness of both government and contractors. Imagine how many people would have been corruptly enriched by this lack of probity and accountability! God is watching! |
This idea of taking all manner of loans is a parochial lazy man's approach. And it is tantamount to postponing the evil day. What reasonable and patrotic leaders would do in this kibd of situation will be to look inward first. Then having taken a series of belt tightening procedures among themselves, then they can call on the masses to do same. And no doubt the masses will gladly follow a good exaple being laid by those in authority. It's after that that loan becomes the last option - certainly not the first especially on an already loan stressed economy. Part of the steps could be selling off some of the aircrafts in the over bloated presidential fleet. Also, the much touted jumbo pays (salaries abd allowances) of the executive and legislative arms of government should be shelved Then the luxuries of both executive and legislative arms of retinue of officialdom at public functions should also be curbed. When they have done these, then the masses will willingly submit to belt tightening procedures. Not this one that they are accumulating debts for our children and children's children. |
"She added that the economic contraction will multiply the misery of the poor." Why won't the contraction affect those in the corridors of power at both legislative and executive arms of government? The poor masses who didn't follow them enjoy the boom must now bear the brunt of the doom - why? And these people claim to worship God (Allah) one way or the other! |
I'm greatly disturbed by the page showing deductions from government appointees. The name of the governor and the amount deducted is about number four or five. Does it mean some people earn more than the governor in the state? What are the reasons behind this abnormal situation? Or is there any form of deceit in this ![]() Governor Kayode Fayemi and/or the Accountant General of the State should please clarify the situation before conjectures begin to be drawn. |
Shouldn't they put the picture here so that anyone that sees the picture will quickly alert the nearest government agency? |
Depopulate Kano? Ask MURIC, by who? Is it by Buhari, Ganduje or the newly installed Emir? The plan of this people to cause religious war in Nigeria has been for a very long time but God no go gree for them. |
Good opportunity for some of them make them kukuma stretch legs well well, from there sleep off and begin snooring self. |
Can't the Senate be patriotic for once and stand up to this man asking him to explain what he's done with previous loans? He is taking loans upon loans and nothing to show for it in spite of all the looted monies recovered from Europe and America. He is just trying to mortgage our future and planting land-mines for the incoming administration of "Jagaban". |
People, please who fit help me with NB PLC Balance Sheet. How much did they make last year as to be able to donate N600m especially in a year that portends very bad business for them? Or is this audio money? |
There is so much hypocrisy in this government. How many of the people they have frivoluously doled out money to in Kano have BVN? Why can't they adopt a sincere and veriviable means of reaching out to the people? My suggestion is let the FG identify all the people on grade levels 1 - 5 in the government service at Federal, State and Local governments and pay the money into their accounts over three months (February, March and April) And because some states will want to be fraudulent by including fictitious names, let the payroll data of February be used. Though some may argue that this money won't touch traders, artisans, farmers etc, that's the reason I'm suggesting payment over actgree months duration do that those who received it would spend it to buy from them. All these ideavof data base is fraught with secrecy and quite unverifiable. But this one, you can actually trace those who received it. |
The number of northerners in this trade/business should be a source of concern/embarrassment to well meaning Nigerians especially from the Hausa /Fulani extraction. How come more than 85% of this group should come from the same region that has ruled Nigeria directly or indirectly for more than 85% of our post independence years. |
However, their was an uproar of disapproval when the secretary to the Hausawa community in Alimosho, Ibrahim Abubakar speaking on behalf of the Hausa community and Miyetti Allah in the state cautioned against provocative statements on Amotekun by some people. He said they should be given a sense of belonging and be carried along, saying “we don’t have anything against Amotekun but we want to be carried along”, he said. Given the interest this group, Miyeti Allah has develop in the Amotekun Plans, our leaders must not sleep with two eyes. The Miyeti Allah group may want to infiltrate the rank and file of the force during recruitment and at their operational zones. Everyone to be recruited must be indigenous to the state where he/she is seeking to be engaged. Beyond that, each person must be traceable to a local government, a town and indeed a family in the said town. There are so many of their sons and daughters born around Oke Koto - Agege or Mushin/Idi Araba who'll probably speak Yoruba more than some indigenous sons and daughters. Our leaders must be keen eyed to be able to weed off the fifth columnist who may want to negate the lofty objective behind this great project of intellectual preponderance. |
There is a big question as to how we respect and value God in all of these. Think deep; will a Muslim cleric allow someone desecrate the mosque in the name of ostentatious life? It is when it comes to Christian faith that anything goes! Shior! |
This may not and indeed it cannot be true. No doubt the region (South West) and all southern states have come under serious threat of being over run by the ruthless activities of the herdsmen. What did the leaders of Miyeti Allah do to caution their men. And if they did nothing, is that not an admitance of a hidden agenda to over run? And if the people of South West now bring up a coordinated program to ward off (or keep in check) these aggressors, is that a crime? Is self defence no longer the best form of defence when the Federal Government has failed to to that? But if I may ask this man, what is your Shege... whatever outfit out to achieve? To continue where herdsmen stopped? Almighty God will frustrate such motive and/or agenda in Jesus Mighty Name. |
But Civil Servants (at whatever level), where did they get money to buy a property of N45m ![]() Sanwo-Olu should sack the two of them and ask EFCC to do thoroughly investigate and prosecute them for corruption! |
It's rather unfortunate that these individuals are now trying to play God. Both Bible and Qur'an believe all powers to install and remove kings is in the hand of Almighty. They should redist the temptation to usurp that power else they'll see the wrath of God. |
People, please what makes Wike governor? Is it not the Certificate of Return? Does he go about with that Certificate? Men! Truly, "Power actually Corrupts and Absolute Power Corrupts Absolutely! |
May I beg the Leadership of JAMB to postpone the implementation of this policy to next admission program i.e 2021? My people say you can't restore a child with Kwashiorkor just in one day. Though JAMB under the current Registrar has done what no one could imagine achievable in a decade in just three years, it is also known that the ills in our educational sector cannot be corrected in one day. |
