Finally, BRP email dropped this morning. Today is the 12th week since Biometric, additional documents was requested and provided in the 4th week.

The wait was really tiring. @mofolam gave me the hint that 11-12 weeks is the max.

You already quoted the response naah. Although that isn’t due process. Usually you will get a response before then, just continue disturbing them. But if u have said and done all u can and no show still. Then u are one of those minority cases that should expect decision in the 11th or 12th week.

It also seems like France has abandoned vfs. So any applications made through vfs will be delayed. Since they are now using TLS consult for their visa applications.

BRP collection mail: 12th July (MA and husband)

I made the difficult decision to travel leaving my family behind so that I could meet up. I have cried until I couldn’t anymore.

4 paid emails
10 paid calls
2 escalations (4th August, 19th August)

Last paid call on 25th August, this call was funny because after narrating everything that has happened, we were both quiet for about 30 seconds and the person at the other end said “that’s not right , a child doesn’t have to wait so long for this. I will not give you a timeline , I am sending an urgent email as we speak. Expect a feedback very soon”

Visa alert this morning at 9am! Honestly I am so happy. Before heading to work today I prayed again. God has done it.

To my fellow May and June applicants I use myself as a point of contact that yours will be approved ASAP. Have a great day everyone.

If yes. Must it be Transit from only Netherlands embassy or he can use french consolate ( because France transit visa application and booking is straightforward. Unlike the Netherlands. I am yet to find a helpful guideline on how to book for appointment or apply )

It is very annoying and frustrating ! I have called countless times and they keep telling me to wait for 15 working days after the first escalation. I wonder why parents visa came out and kids visas are taking almost 2months now cos we did biometrics since July 6th and got NSF july 20th. Please when did you do biometric for your child? When did you escalate through paid call/mail ? The unending waiting time is killing me

Ukvi what reasonable excuse do u have to delay making a decision on visa application for this long?! Your call center assistants are clueless. Escalations are meaningless and just a way to get ppl to stop calling. I cried myself to sleep last night, I woke up in the worse mood. As I’m typing I can’t stop tears from coming down. All the people around me are sick of hearing about how much I miss my baby. He’s just 1 year old. Is this not wickedness?! Do u even consider people’s mental health? are immigrants so objectified that u don’t see them as people?!

I’m confused why people are complaining about lack of shift or jobs. I may be wrong but I think the problem is either they don’t drive, have a car or have license. Shift yakpa for where I dey. But only if you are mobile. Things I did that I think helped ; get a car with insurance, get ur int driving license before leaving , most imp before u leave get used to road signs and driving instructions via the gov.uk site. If possible pay the £15 hazard perception multi trial test. Then Watch tons of YouTube vid on how to pass the test.
Hopefully this helps someone.

Please how do I fill the part of the visa application form for a 1 year old child dependent whose where it is asking about the number of years lived at the home address? I see that if I put 1 year, it asks for old address which is not applicable to the child because the child has never lived elsewhere.

Put the number of years it’s allows. (I think 3yrs ) then explain in the notes. Make sure you don’t forget

We all know that almost every body on this care package went through one agent or the other because we know it is better to be struggling in a sane environment because last last with hard work one will later be alright. My dear. Travel ur travel and keep a positive and open mind. Fact is that u must pay ur dues as a newbie. Don’t compare urself with anyone, u can’t skip the process, gold must pass through fire. While u are inside ur shege (u go def see shege) ask questions and be teachable. At the end, with hard work, sense and persistence u will be fine.
I have also noticed that Nigerians don’t like to help their fellow Nigerians and I do t blame them. It’s because of their entitlement, greed and itk attitude. So pls leave that attitude at home. Humble yourself and mix with the right crowd. Information is what will change ur life for the better.

It’s not a problem. Officers at POE don’t go through all answers on ur visa application. It’s above their pay grade.

It’s ok to say that, it can’t cause any problems and it’s even better than way. Although that doesn’t mean that your visas will come out together.

There are airBnb services in Newcastle.he doesn’t need special ID, his international passport will do. He should also keep in mind that he may not be able to get his own accommodation in one month. He should speak to his employer and see if they can work something out for him.
