Thank you! Your message sound so very matured and reasonable. There is so much to this, I really wished I can report her and get her a 10years ban but your message just calmed me down completely. It's a long story, really wished I could share with you. This is the second time in 15months she has been applying for UK visa.

I just found out the 2 applications just 4days ago. She is desperate to leave the country, she has a contact in the UK who advice her to come through the tourist visa and then apply for asylum claiming , that her husband has been abusing their son and her. She has fake police report and court documentation backing this up. I swear to almighty God, I have never in my life physically or psychologically abuse either her nor my child.

I have been to UK myself twice(2x) 2010 before I got married to her in 2012 and 2012 just few month after marriage. All these was known by her. She once told me, she is tired of leaving in Nigeria and want to relocates but I told her I am not capable of doing that at the moment because of financial constraints. If I have to travel and leave in any European countries including the UK, I want it to be legal, either by Schooling or work visa but US I can japa on tourist visa.

We have tried the US tourist visa in 2020, paid for visa fee but never got interview date, so I abandoned the process this was during covid 19 issues. Since then, she has been desperate of leaving the country without me knowing. If she got lucky this time around and she is issue Visa with my son and go ahead to tarnish my image as a husband/Child molester with forge documentation won't it affect me personally while renewing for the UK visa in the nearest future.

She is not aware I know all this yet and I don't want her to know yet that am aware, I want the outcome of the Visa application but I am scared they might be granted and it will be too late for me to take and meaniful action. We sleep in the same house eat from the same pots and she doing this just because of desperation of japa as advice by her friends and family in the UK.

So, will I be wicked if I go ahead and get her 5 to 10 years ban? Should I wait and see the outcome first and then fight for my son ot to be taken out of the country if the outcome is positive. The agent that filled the form forged and signed a letter of consent which is not from me. She photocopy my passport data page and included in the application without me knowing.

So, what should I do? I have all the documentation to backed this up. Note: I am not a child and wife beater. I have always pray to God, the day I will beat my wife that should be the date I die. Note: I have 45 years old and she is 35years and our son is 10year old.

It’s no news and it’s very unfortunate that many women take this route. You are right about the japa Reality. Only tourist root to take is USA, for other countries you will suffer on a tourist visa. If she succeeds you can kiss UK goodbye for life! (Except u later get a powerful passport) but like I said ; allow her to go as long as she doesn’t take ur child. As a father you can only try ur best to provide a good life for ur offspring. But Godforbid anything should happen to u tomorrow, he may benefit from the madness of today. That child is more important than ego. Pls. God will grant you Wisdom on how to handle it

Its from a friend of mine who wants to confirm this employment letter he got from a UK agency . They have also sent him an email after acknowledging receipt of the employment letter to pay for the NHS, I need to confirm if this is real, cos he is really counting on my feedback and advice before he can go ahead.

It’s fake pls. That’s an incorrect email address. Uk is very transparent and they don’t have hidden or unknown or secret email. Also, they will never ask you to pay for that nonsense. Pls avoid them and save ur money

My wife visa was out yesterday, she did her capturing on 27th July.. We didn't apply for ours till after her own is out, so we won't waste money, because we want her own to be approved before we apply, between that time, the visa added information has changed... Really pain me.

My question is, u have 3 different properties with our names including the one we are staying that we use the address for the visa application.... Can I use the 3 properties document since it bears our name and our marriage certificate as the document requested.... Because I don't have other document like utilities, bank statement. Though I send money to her from both my business account (mostly) and personal account.

Please I need a thorough guide, as I want to make payment this morning.

Yes you can use landed document. Joint business (if u have) and even driving license

If he reports his wife for trying to travel with his son without his consent, the woman will be denied the visa. She might even be banned.

While I have no intention of meddling in a private family issue, I would advise the man in question to ask himself why his wife wants to do something so drastic and make up with his wife for the sake of their son.

I think if she is aware about his seriousness and his intentions she won’t bother to add his application. And she will get her visa is she qualifies. It’s better she faces the results now,If she goes with the boy and the father notifies ukvi of her illegal activity. She will get deported after probably selling all she has here and telling everyone she has relocated. The shame and disappointment will be too much.

Let her go wherever she wants to go as long as she isn’t taking your child. Please, u never can tell your son may benefit from it in the future. Nobody knows tomorrow and tomorrow isn’t certain for anyone. Life is too short. Please. Please ooo.
Also, inform her of what you have done so she doesn’t try to falsify document or letter to claim she has your consent. That would definitely give her a ban.

Yes he does. And they Should not even attempt to use any agent to get POF. If they don’t have enough money they can collect loan from bank. Agent may use fake account and UK will DEFINITELY find out = automatic 10yrs ban

MA Admission is out, school to resume by November. Thou they are planning to move to Scotland. Hubby plans to join by December. So if I get what you are saying they can't pay for the visa application fee two times. Even thou hubby is not applying with her. The person doing de stuff for them happens to be wifey sister.

If she has admission already. Tell her to ask the agent for the admission letter( she should say she wants to certify the admission is real) then she applies herself. It’s very easy. As for the husband; all he needs is TB test and police report to submit his application. Since it’s wifey’s sister that is running the package maybe you should leave them to their family problem make dem no use use settle family feud. If they are concerned they should come here themselves. You cannot be crying more than the bereaved.

Tell them to avoid the person like a plague.He is a thief. No agent can have your best interest more than you yourself. Give them the UK student link on nairaland. People will help them for free.... meanwhile he is also a liar because starting from January 2024 Students are not allowed to bring their dependents in. September is too close to start school application now....if wifey gets in before January, dependent visa is straightforward and certain as long as funds are available and relationship is genuine so what is the additional 2m for ?

I need urgent advice on who to contact at the UK visa issurance in Lagos.

My wife as submitted a visa application for herself and my son without my consent. I got to know she want to leave for the UK with my son to claim asylum. She applied for the same visiting visa last year November but was denied. She has applied again paying agent big money to secure visiting visa for her and my son.

I am afraid she might be granted this time around and leave the country with my son without my consent.

You better leave someone else’s experience and face your own. You must declare all visa denials, approvals or ban. I don’t understand your reason to hopefully conceal it. Your visa will be approved even if u have a ban in another country as long as u are being truthful.

I use my company letterhead as reference for uk student visa application. UKVI now send mail to them but they are refusing to reply the mail saying I didn't follow due process by informing the headquarter office before using the company letterhead for such things. Which I did not know because it was the branch office I use the letterhead from and I was thinking that they ukvi will contact the branch office bcoz the official email of the branch is on the letterhead. I have plead with the headquarter office but they are adamant that they will not reply the mail even to the extent that they want to sanction me. Please what can I do in this situation? I have spend a lot to get to this stage

They can’t be happy Now, that is fraud. Beg them as if ur life depends on it. Appeal to your branch manager or head of operations to beg Headquarters for you. Admit your fault and don’t even attempt to play the ignorance card. Then pray hard

As a main applicant submit only what is on your checklist. Don’t draw unnecessary attention to your application. DONT attach or submit any email correspondence to your application. Don’t say nobody told you ooo. I know why your agent said that, it’s a long story, but he is wrong. DONT ooo

I just got married to my fiancée last month ago,though we have been dating since last year august before she applied for her NHS Job in the UK. Towards the beginning of this year,she applied and after several interviews a particular trust sent her a sponsorship. I want to go with her to start a family there and we have submitted all necessary documents and awaiting there response.

What I failed to understand is

Can I be granted a visa because we have not been married for 2 years??

You do not need to wait 2 years if you are a cash buyer or have a 75% LTV or lower, and can prove your identity and source of funds.

You can apply for your visa immediately you get ur cos if u want. Anytime within 3 months of receiving it. Add 3 weeks visa processing time to your August 11. Add another 3 months after prospectively getting your visa. You will be traveling in December and that seems fair to me. And all these yeye maths is excluding any potential delay or NSF... If you don’t experience any delay try not to travel too early. But wait oo! How did you get biometric date without applying for visa?

They escalated it again. But I didn’t trust the speed of the rubbish so I decided to file a complaint. Those customer service ppl are outsourced and they don’t know anything. The person I spoke to said if I don’t get response after the new escalation elapses I should call again.
People with similar issues got responses after 2 months. For ur own sanity just expect decision in September

Call to know if decision had been made. If no decision had been made they will escalate it again. In my case I also recently filed a complaint to home office and I was told I will get a response within 20wd. Biometric was June also and it’s for child dependent.

Don’t do that you urself. Setting expectations concerning timeline can only end in anxiety and it will take a toll on your mental health. They could get back to you today, tomorrow or even in 2 months. The uncertainty even with priority will always be a constant with ukvi.

The man face na die, as them call me to go he booth, my mind tell me say problem go dey. He had already stamped my passport but he held on to it while he was still asking those questions. He didn’t ask for any document, only my passport. My replies were mostly 2 words, i no answer wetin he no ask me


Went through Immigration, went and grabbed my luggages. On my way out, i got stopped by one uniform man, i think he’s a customs officer (i may be wrong). Took me to one room, there were other people there whose bags were being searched and they were being asked some questions. He started asking me questions while he placed my luggage on a table to search. He was just pressing my luggage if he can feel anything, don’t know what he was looking for.

Customs: Where are you coming from?

Me: Nigeria via Qatar

Customs: What’s in your luggage?

Me: Mostly Food items, shoes and a few clothes

Customs: Where in Nigeria are you coming from?

Me: Lagos

Customs: You live in Lagos?

Me: No, i live in Delta

Get your luggages arranged/ready and search for next day flights. You will get one with a very low price. If you live in any of the States that has an International airport, you can also try same day flights. I noticed air fares tend to drop 10 to 35 hours before departure due to last minute cancellations and some other reasons (Like i said before, my observation)

I got a next day flight for N512,000 which ordinarily was almost 3 times that amount. Good enough, it has just an hour stop. Got to The UK some days back

Try your luck and see. Just hope this helps someone

Hello everyone, please my sister applied for dependant visa for her 2kids as she is in the UK already. It's been over 2months now yet no positive update from UKVI. First, they demanded for additional documents as she is no longer together with their father, all of which was provided. She even made a paid call 3weeks ago and they said it would be escalated, yet no response. Please what do we do? Has anyone experienced this sort of delay before?

I am experiencing it. Biometric was June 14. Additional documents sent July 4. Nothing can be done except to disturb with calls and emails.
