Good morning Fam, pls I have a masters degree from Nigerian university. I want to apply for a 1yr post graduate certificate program in Ontario, My school said when I asked in an email that I’m qualified for the program and has encouraged to apply. what are my chances of getting visa?
The gurus don’t advice this. It doesn’t show educational progression at all. Heavy on the at all. What course are you applying for? And what do you have msc in?

Amen ooh
But have they been people they rejected even after requesting for Nsc
NSe doesn’t determine a refusal or approval. It just means that if you provide ielts and 1yr MBs cert, your application will be processed faster than otherwise. People have gotten approval and refusal regardless of they route they used

I just did my medicals upfront on 14th and on Wednesday changed immediately to pass , but I still don't understand why they didn't request for it .i just requested for it early this month,
Ok cool. They usually don’t request for medicals until they are ready to approve your visa. But it’s a good thing u did it upfront, at the very least it will ginger them to look into your file again and make a decision.

Have you received your gcm notes? Your application is way over processing time.

Please i need a link for LOE so i can use it as a guide to reapply.
Sorry for the delay. It seems you failed to submit your own salary account. Any matured applicant (Self employed or otherwise) is supposed to show proof of employment and income evidence. Also I think you should make commitment by paying your entire tuition fee for the first year ( check with your school’s refund policy first). Don’t rely only on links from here, there are soooo many available on YouTube also. Lastly it seems you didn’t do a good job explaining with evidence why there was a carrier switch. I wish you luck on ur reapplication. The odds are already in your favor. Just don’t be too fast to re-apply, take your time to package it before u submit

But why do they even demand for ielts before they consider fast tracking applications?! It has zero benefit, plus spending that extra money unnecessarily is Just very annoying.

No be juju be that?!
Anyway it doesn’t work that way. The account has to be in your own name. That means you are asking someone to send you $10,000CAD for a fee. Also, visa refusal is the only grounds you can get ur money back. And that is not ur portion ijn

sorry please are saying i should include it in my LOE or I should a separate Loe to that effect
the lump sum is in the investment account
In my own case I have lump sum. So I made a separate loe to the effect. So that just in case there was an oversight on the visa officer while reading my sop ( I assumed that he/she may be tired and just scheming through, instead of reading thoroughly) he/she will still see the explanation in the funds section. It’s not a requirement, it’s just what I decided to do

Please while collating documents to upload under Means of Finance
is there a need to write any letter or just collate the proof funds documents alone?
Also. If you have a sponsor, that is where someone suggested we include; sponsorship letter/affidavit, sponsor’s pay slips etc

If you think you have a grey area e.g lump sum or any thing questionable it’s best to write a letter of explanation in addition to ur bank statement. But if it’s straight forward and stable then no need for loe.

Good morning Everyone.
I am new here and am about to apply for my Canadian Student Visa Application, Please i need some advice.
Am using myself as Sponsor, I have the founds in my bank account since last year, tho the money were not sent into the account at once, this are payment from the sales of my business , i will like to know if there is any issue of me keeping the money in the account and have not make any withdrawal, this year i had credited the account 2times, i will like to also know must i keep running the account or just leave the funds there.
Please advise  any one in the house
@Frankrobbn1 @Justmellow @Adiekwe1@Lekiboboe @NairaLuck @justwise @Akannitommy and other gurus, please advice
It is strongly recommended that the account should have inflow and outflow I.e activity. It seems you haven’t had any outflow this year at all.
Why don’t you use your business account instead? You will Just have to include your cac and other relevant documents.
On another Note, please give your sop to as many ppl as possible to proof read

Can I give an explanation of where the money is from and all. What do you mean by MBS?
Google mybankstatement certificate. I jumped to conclusion about the 6m being insufficient based on my own situation. sorry about that. To calculate if it’s sufficient for you note the following;
1 year living expense is $10,000CAD. Since they need Only 6 months Living expenses; that will be 5k
So calculate your School fees+ Travel expense + $5,000CAD. If 6m covers it, then it is sufficient

Please I was sent this by the embassy, please what do I do at this moment. I also have about 6million in the account now, can I print it to send?

Is this a positive thing or...
Yes only if you provide it ASAP. They need MBS certificate not print out. If you are the sponsor I doubt 6m is sufficient

What course and program are u applying for?
While you are waiting for your admission it wouldn’t hurt to try other schools also.
As for the medicals calm down first. Instead work on a killer sop because being jobless and having no career progression is not only a red flag. it’s green, purple, indigo and orange.
TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Mofolam: 2:21am On Jun 11, 2021
@olupatito I’m sorry you had yo deal with a strict senior officer. I would suggest you order another gcm note so as to know the rationale of the senior officer. With the knowledge of the final notes you will be able to tackle it head-on. I think it will be easier and cheaper to just reapply because getting a lawyer can be expensive

Good day house. I did my upfront medicals today and also want to send my payslips for the past 3 months. Please is it advisable to use one webform for both the upfront medical and the other additional document i want to send or to send them separately.

Thanks
According to our gurus. You can send both in a single webform

Thank you for this. I included my job as my tie and the fact that I am entitled to a study leave of upto 18months hence my consideration of giving an update on it. My husband is my sponsor who also serves as a ties
If it will help your application do not hesitate to send it

Some should pls help with an opinion on this.
Personally I wouldn’t but that is just because of the way I packaged my own application. Only you can know what is best for you. If you are going to send it, I would suggest you also send a letter to explain why your company is giving you a promotion when you are planning to leave the country, considering that they could give someone else who will stay and actively contribute to the company.(I’m assuming your employer knows of ur travel plan). If I’m a VO this is a little of a grey area for me. Hence the need of an explanation

is. tuition deposit enough or he has to pay full tuition
The truth is that. There is no one rule to this thing. tuition deposit can fly, but I think it’s only logical that full tuition payment shows more seriousness and commitment. That way the vo will have less concern about availability of the funds to you. Just make sure it’s refundable

why do I have to ask a question plenty times before I am replied....

please ooooooooooooooppppp

my sponsor isn't related to me but he is ready to pay the tuition deposit cause my school has 50%;refund policy

please help how do I show ties
This is a mediocre reply because I don’t know much about this but i just want to add some tips I think may help. Pls take this like a pinch of salt ;
1.Get your sponsor to be sending u some money every month tell him to write ‘‘allowance’’ In description. This might convince the vo that he is involved in your life to some extent.
2. Get him/her to pay ur tuition and GIC
3. Add pictures Of yourself with your sponsor
4. Show correspondence btw u and ur sponsor
5. Explain why your sponsor is going the extra mile to sponsor your education (since he has his own family wey e neva sponsor)
5. Show Ur very detailed and convincing home ties

TravelRe: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 19 by Mofolam: 7:37pm On Jun 04, 2021
If you enrolled for a 2 year program and you decide to accelerate your studies to finish in 1 year. You are qualified for a 3yrs pgwp. Your program will be still be seen as what it is (a 2 yr program) just make sure you submit a loe when applying for your pgwp.
But note that as long as you are enrolled you must not work more than 20hrs. Even during summer when other international students are doing 40hrs.

What are you countering? Those were the concerns of the VO and not the nairalander. He’s explanation was very accurate. For those yet to write sop, Leave out stating home ties at your own risk. Just because someone got away with it doesn’t mean you will, you don’t know their story. It is your duty to yourself to not leave any stone unturned.
