Maybe you should collect it if she insists. But u don’t have to submit it. Your birth certificate isn’t in partner dependent checklist. Even if u submit it you will still get ur visa. I’m just trying to help u with my own understanding to avoid any nsf.... allow others chip in other suggestions

Your change of name document explains the name difference. Oyinbo will not expect a woman to be changing birth certificate everytime she changes marriages or get widowed.

Well tell that person you are trying to encourage to know that there are words that are condescending. The person asked if it is mandatory to show your TB test cert on POE, well whether expired or current, it was written on the cert to be shown before entering the UK. So what was bad about my response Is it not boldly written on it? Everyone's situation at the POE might not be the same and so it's necessary to have all documents.

It’s for my husband. Since ukvi is taking so long to make a decision for my baby. I intend to put in our oga’s application and send them the GSW to update them of new development. Maybe it will ginger them to make faster and positive decision for my munchkin.

My sister applied for UK visa but made a mistake in her form. Where they asked if she has family in the UK, she said no but the answer should be yes Just few hours ago we saw this mistake. Do you know if there will be any implication please ? Do they really reckon with having or not having family in the UK.
Will this affect her visa? Can she write a letter to acknowledge this error as soon as possible and upload it along with her other documents.

The eco may or may not overlook it, but don’t leave anything to chance. Send the letter of explanation ASAP. While they may or may not know whether or not u have a family there atm, if it ever came up in future n there are discrepancies, it cripples ur credibility.

Me and the kids haven't applied yet, because the kids TB test is tomorrow which the result would be Friday.

My question is that, can we start our application, immediately on Friday or Saturday, considering my wife application is just been processed, it's not out yet.

Your question isn’t worded well. It’s confusing. You can start application anytime you wish. But all documents should be ready before ur biometric

Try to mock fill your visa application form. After you type in your cos number, your cos details (e.g name of comapany) Should show automatically on subsequent pages

I’ll allow others respond because I’m not sure. Although it’s unusual for the spouse of a person to have sole responsibility when both legal parents are alive and able. My own suggestion is u still get sole responsibility document then in ur cover letter try as much as possible to address option C. Backing it up with all proof and evidence u can get. But let others weight in

Thanks for the response. We submitted a consent letter that was signed by the both of us and attached passport photos. The mother doesn't have an international passport, will a voters card be sufficient? Will this situation affects other applications or every case is treated individually?

Use any and every means of identification she has, NIN also. And back it with prayers. Other applicants will be treated individually. Others are straight forward and shouldn't have any issue.

1. Get a court document (not affidavit) to show u have sole responsibility for the child.
2. Then include a cover letter explaining your situation,
If u were never married To the child’s mother, state it there. And If u were married but divorced, include annulment of marriage evidence.
3. The Mother of the child should write a consent letter, stating that she is aware of the travel plans and that she gives her consent. She should attach her passport data page to the letter.
Provide all these. Don’t be like me, try to avoid bogus statement and too much info in the consent letter.

No. You cannot use affidavit in place of a court order. Uv been told already, u no just wan hear.

You are to fill the application like it’s the dependent filling it. Your child will be traveling with a parent and not all those things listed
