popplm: thanks for the enlightenment but are you telling me that is how it is done in other civilized countries or in the those days when there is no phone to send sms. just asking oooo...This governor of ours is really desperate ooo
You sound so dumb, though i don't mean to insult you. But, what is strange in using bulk SMS to campaign, I use it for marketing and it paid off greatly. Must you condemn every thing just because you want your gluttonous doube-corn eating pot-bellied senator with zero achievement in Abeere by all means?
PoliticsRe: Why my town Ikire,Irewole Local Gov. people 'll Vote Aregbesola For 2nd Term. by mogentle(m): 8:54am On Aug 05, 2014
9jacrip: Though the projects you listed are all visibly real, I must say the emotions in Ikire especially runs deep for PDP, those people sre working very hard yo win and their hardwork seems to be paying off - Thanks to Mr. Lere, a grassroot politician who has ikire in his pockets. There are some towns in Osun that have always been PDP towns, an example is Ikire.

I know the nooks and crannies of ikire to an extent because I spent considerable years there and was even there lastweek when PDP members trooped to Ejigbo rally passing campus road, it was massive!

I make bold to say, apart from Ilesa (Aregbe's town), Ede (Akande's town where vote might be equally divided), Esa Oke (Bola Ige's town), Modakeke (cold war with Ife) - Omisore is much more popular and gets the larger support of other Osun towns. Not because Aregbe has not worked but an average Osun resident isnt necessarily interested in roads when money isn't circulating(a known pdp govt trait).
That means development of SWest is not a thing that can happen now. Stomach structure. Pathetic.
PoliticsAugust Rush: Omisore Donated Bus, Divides OAU Students by mogentle(op):
Students of Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, have maintained different stand-points over the donation of a bus to the Students’ Union by the governorship aspirant of the Peoples Democratic Party in Osun State, Senator Iyiola Omisore.

While some of the students welcomed the receipt of the bus by the Students Union, others negated it. One of the students, who negated the receipt of the bus, Sola Adebola, accused the SU government of selling the rights of the students.

He explained that it was not right for the executives of the SU, led by Isaac Ibikunle, to receive the bus during the period of election.

Another student, identified simply as Bimpe, lamented that political aspirants wanted to use students to achieve their ambition.

He said, “I am surprised the Students Union would collect such in our absence. We are not on campus and I see no reason why the SU will proceed to collect the bus despite the hike in fee challenges and the shutdown of the institution. It is wrong. We don’t need a bus. What will the bus do in the problems we are facing?

“We are on strike and OAU is a federal school, being governed by the Peoples Democratic Party. Why can’t he resolve our strike challenge first? The last time he (the President) promised to solve the problem, we later realised it was a lie. This is propaganda from him. It will not make us vote him in.”

But the Students Union, in a communiqué signed by its President, Ibikunle Isaac and Secretary-General, Shittu Olatayo, said it collected the bus to aid students’ movements during protests.

The communiqué read in part, “Since the inception of our administration, it is a known fact that the political gladiators from major political parties have been engaging us, seeking our support just, as it is being done all over the state. But our position has always been that they should do projects for OAU students, such as donation of buses and scholarships, among others. In particular, both the All Progressive Congress and the PDP have promised us a bus each.

“Meanwhile, on Thursday July 31, 2014, the PDP gubernatorial aspirant, Omisore, donated a brand new 18 seater bus to the Students’ Union. This indubitably will aid the mobility of the Union, especially in times of struggle, and make the Union enjoy mobility autonomy as against the constant seizure of the Union’s bus by the management whenever the Union has issues with the University.”

PoliticsRe: Entire Yoruba Land Turns Out To Welcome Jonathan again, This Time In Oshogbo by mogentle(m): 8:17pm On Aug 03, 2014
whyman: Which SW?

The rented crowd that left the stadium even before the President starts its speech. I was hurrying to Osogbo after OAU post utme yesterday only to meet most of PDP supporters back in Ile-Ife.

I believe most of them are rented crowd who returned having collected their fee and marked register. We were laughing inside the bus yesterday as the President was making his speech on the radio with pple making fun of him and his policies and we met pple on bike and motors with PDP flags coming out of Osogbo.

I would have been there because I want to see him life for once. But I got to the stadium whem he was leaving.

Have you ever watch APC rally? Very interesting and you would not leave till the end.

Jonathan dissapoint the masses who have been on his side but continue to satisfy his cohorts who are misrepresenting him at the detriment of the masses.

We saw three tankers of Kerosene at PDP secretariat when it is not available at any filling station. So if we are not PDP members no kerosene for us except at the black market @ #135. What we were told was subsidized to #50.

The rice that was banned from importation and the price skyrocketed was being distributed by PDP in Osun state to sway electorate.

We rejected Jonathan once and by the Special Grace of God we will reject him again. We are progressives and democrats we will reject the reactionary forces.

2007 is still fresh in our minds. They came to opposition areas with armed public security forces and hired machinery. Esuleke was shot 15 times @ point blank without any offense he was whisked away immediately becos he is an opposition. His son leg was pierced with bullet.

Osun is not for PDP and we will proof it again. It is not by might or force but by God and peace loving people of Osun State.
Hmmm, the truth from real Osun indigene, not these rented pay per post e-dogs.

They keep attacking the messenger, leaving the message unaddressed. How can a businessman bomb his customers, or a king kill the people he's governing. Something is really happening. Are we saying that despite all the arrests made, truth has not bn known? Hmmm, so nobody has ever confessed anything good? Lies!!!!

Whoever uses this crowd where president is to judge election result may be equal to erroneous. Everywhere the president goes, there must be crowd, even just to see him. Where are the pix from Omosore's former rallies without the presient. Bring them up.
