Hello Angry people ,Its amazing to find out you are all still ranting Lol. ![]() I just bumped in to ask if anyone would be interested in placing their writeups in a 'music marketing' publication. Well, I've read very good and funny writeups (though angry) here. So i was wondering if people here or anyone would like to drop a piece. Pls stop hiding your talent in that suit. <Hiss> It could relate to music in general or just naija music. But if it doesnt have to do with music it has to be something readers will like, enjoy and relate with. The publication monthly for now, so i'll publish your works one at a time. If you are interested you can mail me on justideaz@yahoo.com. Thanks. I miss ranting though. There's so much to rant about; like my annoying Ex (yeye. I feel like breaking his coconut head), The weather (Heat + Hot), Lagos city (the hustle, the crowd-people coming into Lagos at every breath taken), Turai (can't Yaradua jst resign?), Those crazy island okada men (do they leave a photocopy of their lives in the north?), My Neighbourhood ( I dislike this place), da da da, Coming up. |
Hello People, I'll like to introduce to you 'Fanbaze', a 'music marketing' publication to be out pretty soon. For enquiries, you can also mail justideaz@yahoo.com and for gist, info, news, press releases, that you want to be published, please email fanbaze4u@yahoo.com. @ in me- You're American? Wish u read this thread from the beginning. @ osasp- You didnt have to visit this thread if u knw u were gonna puke. @ Slimshay- Wellsaid. You get it! I also realized those guyz make money o(esp d made ones). Their market is the very 'passionate type'- their passion n followership thrills me. I also look at d business side of it-that makes me excited. Especially when i think of how much i cld make, @ in me and osasp- (Hiss). @ Blims-you've got a point there, But some of them fuji boys and followers can b mean o. Talk about 'ada UTC'(utc cutlass), Lebe, 'ooka'(magic ring), 'pa-shun'(death rope), and other butchery utensils and variety of jazz they use during their fights. |
@freety- Lol! Easy on the guy now, u dey vex o. He was jst trying to express himself. @blims-Lwkmd. U are so o funny, @baslone-you are very right about what fuji music has become. I already mentioned earlier that its not like wat it used to be. About Kwam1, the 'won wa mi ni Canada' thing is usually on his 'live' records but his albums usually have better content. |
Ha! Frijos, if seun catch u, Dis one wey u dey advertise sprite on top nairaland-jst like that. I've not heard the advert-will watch out 4 it. Nice suit (Vector). Nice 'marketing lines' (Frijos). |
Oops! Didnt mean to post that twice. My fone, |
@Lala, i don't want to argue 'bout whether a whack hiphop artiste will appeal to an average fuji lover, including a 'fuji 'artiste. This is because jst like a lot of pple i believe u already have a fixed thought about what u think fuji music is and who its lovers are. Now d difference btw fuji and juju- let me try-, fuji is what Ayinde Barrister, kollington, Salawa ('waka' music to be precise) did. And its wat kwam1 and Pasuma does. Juju music is wat KSA, Dayo Kujore and Dele Taiwo did. And its wat Sir Shina Peters does. Juju is softer than fuji. I think the tempo, kind/amount of instrumentals and beats used usually differs. Fuji music used to be seen as music only 4 d mature and influential. It had depth, and only d wise cld grasp wat d singer was saying. D oldtime fuji artistes wld only have 1 or 2 commercial song dat wld appeal 2 every1 for 'sales'. I'm sad fujimusic is not like what it used to be. The artistes, the fans, a lot has changed. Fuji used to be better than wat it is now, even its fans. Jeez, am i so in2 fuji? |
My brother its about time o. 'Frijos' na you sef (Lol). I say you are on point but i have a couple of questions for you. Later sa. |
By the time the guy drops his 'fuji hop' album, he'll be hopping to the bank. You know y i like these fuji acts? They never give up! They always want to try new territories, blend with the times. They dn't fight change nor do they throw away what they got. So for them its like 'if people like 'hiphop', lets bring 'hiphop' into fuji music'. Hence, 'fuji hop'. lol. And they are always taking their music to showcase beyond d shores of this country. Its usually accepted-cos they got smtg new 2 offer d oyinbo man. You know what? 'fuji hop' will sell. Obesere's large 'street' fanbase will buy and his 'wealthy' selected few will pay him lots of millions for shows. |
@ mama gee: if u think fuji music ain't music, then u shldn't b in this section of NL Forum. I guess u say so cos u have no idea what 'FUJI MUSIC' is. @ poster: i've been waiting 4 this topic all my Naira Land life! Fuji music is rich music. Its classy and fun. Fuji music is done basically to- communicate a message and to create fun. A fuji artiste dare not be creative, A fuji artiste is usually a lyrically rich individual who's also got some measure of depth and intelligence. A fuji artiste cn't escape wit d crap some of dis current naija wannabe 'hip hop hurray' artistes(?) sing. Fuji music is one of d few original music we got. Its ours, tiwan tiwan. For me i put fuji music and hiphop(rap to be precise) on d same level. Simply because of: content, message, pon (play on words) and beats/instrumentals. For now i love kwam 1 (he's a total package). I love Osupa saheed's depth and unique voice, Pasuma's brandimage, personality and creativity, Obesere for his unusual creativity(asakasa), stageperformance, and energy. Though u cn't compare fuji music now to fuji music then. And jst like other genres of music, there are wack fuji singers too-who jst mk noise and say they are singing. Plus the streetboys caused this idea that fuji music is 'gutter music'(i quote). |
Hi. (Pssch) I'm on this job, which i have to talk to people i dont know -on the phone- from 8am to 5pm. Argh, Telephone survey/ customer service they call it, watever And i have this very annoying, no initiative, lacking leadership skills supervisor, she can be so annoying, At five, my mouth's aching, i'm stammering and i'm so fagged out, (Thats what i'm being paid for) On my way home, i keep saying this should be the last one, I must resurrect me biz outfit. Sighs, |

Bamsyle: . |
origina9ja:You are off topic. Abuja - Nope. Nigeria - Yes. Why? |
Ifa Baba, you dey vex o. @ Topic, God bless poster. Amen! Ain't you guyz missing something? How about the noise they make on stage. The "hey yo hey yo" and "Mr D.J, "(10ce) sounds they make. And then bouncing round the stage with their home boyz or back ups (who make more noise into the mic) , trousers placed on knees. Mr D. J finally finds the C.D, Artiste screams into mic ( crowd screams too); Artiste losses voice on second line, and then uses scope to jump into the crowd in order to avoid singing into the mic, At this point, i just tune off my T.V and make use of my DVD. Ish, |
Em, feel , em, Argh! No idea for now. And sorry about your grand ma. Like your friend said, it hasn't hit you yet. It will eventually, soon. Those moments could be really sad and painful. though. |
Ha, finally a word on Breis. I love this guy's music. I like the fusion, and also the fact that he is audible. |
