https://www.gov.uk/cancel-visa thats the link to escalate withdrawals. I suggest you call the number there ASAP. You should also go to the TLS centre you did your biometrics to fill the withdrawal form. Thats what i did. quote author=kinematicguy post=59853391]ddonsly- can you please point me on the stages and processes you used to escalate and withdraw. Especially, the fact that you're now getting your passport within 2 days. I need to get my passport unfailing next week as I have another intending travel urgently.

Note: I did my biometric at TLS since July 10th and Sheffield got it since 19th of July.

Many thanks.
Hi ddonsly, i just submitted my form. Please let me know if they actually give you back your passport on or beforeTuesday.
ddonsly:
They'll just give you a form-like letter to fill out. You just have to fill in the details requested on the form and submit back to them. They will give you back a copy and that'll be all.

Thanks. I sent a May yesterday and also placed a call across to them. So from what you Said I still have to go to TLS office to submit the application for withdrawal? If so, what is the format for the letter?[q1uote author=ddonsly post=59787474]Hi mokikeoj,

Well I had to call the UKVI back yesterday since the last number I was told to call only handles UK Citizens and dependants. It was a guy that picked up this time and he saw reason with me. He was honest enough to admit that the previous agent hadn't even logged or submitted my cancellation request hence my application status remaining at 'Awaiting Decision'. He went on to send me an email with instructions on the cancellation which I actually replied with another request for cancellation.

So today, I don carry myself go the TLS office to submit another cancellation request. I was told it would take about 2 days. So by Monday or Tuesday, I hope to have my passport back. It was interesting to know that I wasn't the only one fed up with these guys as others were there to withdraw their application as well.

Also this afternoon, the UKVI have sent me another email acknowledging my reply which basically says that my case has been escalated to the concerned authority. Not sure whether it means much sha..

So that's it sha
Hi ddonsly, what other steps are you trying to make/making. Currently in a similar situation. I have sent an application to withdraw and need my passport ASAP.
ddonsly:
Dear Nairalanders,

I'm really at my wit's end with these UKVI people. I applied since June 23rd, and after several calls and escalations, still no decision as at Friday afternoon. So I jejely asked to withdraw (Cancel) my application and have my passport returned to me ASAP as I have an impending trip by mid next week. The lady categorically confirmed that my passport should be back by end of this week (It should be simple now, just close my file and return my passport). So as e don reach dis afternoon and I haven't got an email to confirm that my application has been cancelled or my passport on it's way back, I decided to call them just to double check things. And to my utter amazement, this new person now says that I have to wait for 10 working days. Okay. Then I enquired about the status of my application and they said it is still awaiting decision. I was like, but I CANCELLED my application ALREADY! I just want my passport back.. She then said if I want to complain I need to call another number. I called the number and the person that picked said that they can only talk about UK citizens and dependants and nothing else.

Please has anyone had any such experience as this? Any reason why after 3-4 days of withdrawing/cancelling, my application is still awaiting a decision? And please, what do you advise I do next? I need my passport back ASAP. Not being able to travel to the UK due to this delay has cost me a lot already. I can't afford to miss my next journey.

Kindly advise. Many thanks

Thanks for your response
Brightingsus:
Processing of an application should be at the appointment/biometrics. Processing of an application is not same as consideration of a visa application, which is done by an ECO. The visa fee is not only for the official visa stamp but the work that goes into making a decision on an application. So the ECO won't start the process of verifying your identity and all for you to cancel (before a decision) to get a refund. So the refund should be before you attend an appointment.

If you observe the email TLS sends when you register after online application, you will see confirmation of what am saying...

Hi guys, pls who has the answer to this question. I also interested in it.
ddonsly:
Hello guys,

Just a quick question. On the Cancel your visa, immigration or citizenship application section of the UKVI website (https://www.gov.uk/cancel-visa), it is stated that You can only get your fee refunded if your application hasn’t been processed yet. Does that mean that you get refunded before you honour the Visa Application or before they make a decision on your application. Kindly help cla

Many thanks.

I received the same mail too. I hope they conclude speedily

Got this earlier today as well.. I guess we are on the decision queue now

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for applying for a UK visa.

We wrote to you recently to explain that we have been unable to make a decision on your application within our normal timescale. Due to it being our busiest period, I am afraid we need longer to make a decision.

Please do not go to the Visa Application Centre until you have received written confirmation that a decision has been made on your application and that your passport is ready to be collected. Staff at the visa

Congrats!! Are you a first time applicant?
baldman:
I applied June 15 and the status indicated that it was decided on 4th August, 2017. I got a mail from TLS notifying me that a decision has been made yesterday and a subsequent mail asking me to come for collection later in the day. I have not had the time to go pick up my passport but this took too long and I just want to thank everyone for contributing to this threade. I was able to track the progress through comments on this thread. I have also found that visas are being given regardless of whether or not your travel date has passed. I will be back to give you the good news!!1

TatPat:
The M reference works even if they haven't decided the application. when using the M reference, just put in the numbers only without the M. (Remove the M from the reference) and it would work.
Tried mine it did not work. It still said it was not recognized.
TravelRe: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 3 by mokikeoj: 3:19pm On Aug 08, 2017
Same thing with me. I submitted on the 5th of July and no decision yet. My friend submitted more than a week later and she collected her passport today with visa granted. Though I am a first timer and she is not. I don't really know if that is the issue.
luvhenry:
Mehn the whole thing is funny. I submitted on 10th July. Up till now, nothing. A colleague who submitted 12 July has since been sorted since last week. Is there a thing with 1st timers

Its due to tax paid on excess dividend. This caused a huge increase in tax expense for the H1 2015.

GAZZUZZ: Short term Consequences will be o2 and af sensors reporting wrong signals to the ecu, long term will be misfires on several cylinders caused by the wrong signal sent to the ecm by the o2 and af sensors. If you cannot aford to replace the catalyst, just instal a spacer. Spacers cost like 200 naira a piece.
Thanks a bunch Gazzuzz, pls answer the second question.

Hello Gazzuzz

I ran a diagnostic check on my 2007 Honda accord after it started showing the check engine light and I was told the catalyst is bad. My questions are:

1) Apart from the emission of poisonous gases, is there any consequence if I don't fix it immediately?

2) Could the faulty catalyst be a symptom of something else?
