a third party involved(the kid) and whatever decision u make should suite the kid more. Can you really afford to take a two year old kid away from his mother

I think you should ask him if and when he plans to marry you, if positive, ask him how he plans on going about it and his plans after it, forget sex for one night and iron out issues and decisions with him, you don't necessarily have to give him money, you both should come out with an efficient plan and strategy which of course, should involve him more as a man. You are just supposed to support him.
Marriage isn't just about the man, the lady performs an important role b4 and after the wedding day, play your role!

The guy's obviously desperate to get the girl back and she keeps saying "apologise to my mum", though i think it's uncalled for but, let him do it already! So if after he apologizes to the mum, she stalls, then he knows it was never about the apology and can then go get a life. I think it's better than being stuck on one thing.Afterall the mum already knows they were dating and if she didn't kill him when he beat her daughter(@ poster; bad move) she a'int killing him now!
