Yesterday 23rd March, 2011 the students of Akwa Polytechnic located at Ikot Osu-urua, Ikot Ekpene  were on a peaceful demonstration asking the school management to allow them continue with their examination which had commenced on 21st March, 2011 but was stopped due to the kidnapping of their Rector. Effort of the  registrar to address them failed, rather they threw stones at him.

Members of SARS (Serious Anti-Roberry Squad) were invited and they came with armored car. The students threw stones at them in response SARS opened fire. Two students died in the process while some were injured and arrested.

Actual death toll has not been confirmed but those arrested have been released. Presently, everything within the campus is at stand still.

I became a boarder in my final year in school and it was fun all through.

Some of the things i remember are;
Eating rice every night till the day i finished my exams.

Marriage is a special and holy union of two bonded by love. The greatest and most powerful reason to marriage is love, the need not to spend the rest of your life alone but with someone you love and care for. Marriage is sweeter when you feel that warmth n comfort of your partner (that is loves and care for you as well). Its not just that some married couples do not want kids but think of the other way round where they cannot have them due to natural cause. Do u think God wants all those kids in the motherless babies home to be ignored. NO WAY!!!. To me i see nothing wrong in adoption, in adopting a child you have showed greater love to the one you have (your partner). Wether its your biological child or not, a child is a child and your responsibility whom you can educate as if it was yours. He/She could grow up to be someone you'll be proud of or vice versa depending on the training, so as it is with your own child. So them some love and a chance.

My dear Nairalanders, we are talkin about married men - single women likewise married women - single men. What will they achieve chasing women on the streets like Tom & Jerry. Chasing people’s mothers, wifes, daughters & babes all in the name of what, that’s deplorable. Up to the extent of caring a barbaric act of publicly tearing it off, this is absurd. Is it not this trousers that has come to the aid of women in many ways, especially in a situation when one has to run at the site of danger & climb Okada. What of women in various engineering fields (Electrician, Construction, Mechanic etc). why not tell them to go to site on skirts and heels (preferably mini skirts) or all females in the Nigerian Armed and Police Forces to go to battle on skirts and heels. (Kweke!!!). Abeg make dem leave all those yan. This Nation has better things to handle than chasing women in trousers.
