This is the first and only government Job I have applied to and I must confess it's the most mentally draining recruitment I have ever undertaken.
Prior to my interview on the 5th of July, I had registered to take IELTS on the 27th of July. The addictive nature of this thread didn't allow me study hard enough as I was glued to my phone 24/7. As a consequence, I didnt get the desired score and also wasted 75k. From my experience, my obsessive daily thoughts about how life would be alot better when Apl comes was my greatest undoing. Fortunately, I retook the test and got my desired band score.
Here is my advise. While we wait, plz learn a new skill, apply to other jobs, scholarships etc., and most importantly learn to manage expectations.

They will call u a liar and all sorts of names now. I know someone who has been in Abuja for the past 3 weeks on top this same job. Infact he was given a list where he confirmed his candidates are on the list (only way I was certain they will recruit) . It's good to be hopeful but this is Nigeria I promise you. I think the energy spent here hoping could be used to lobby your senators, house members and everyone you know that can help. Try to raise money for the slots from a confirmed link. There are always slots available for the right price, make sure the person giving u d slot has an image to protect incase it doesn't go through and he needs to refund. But to think these things will just come to you in Nigeria especially this North dominated executive is simply being unrealistic. I Just feel I should put it here, it might help someone. Also remember that most of what these officials say on TV is different from the true fact

1. My Dad and his friend are retirees with leadway on an annuity plan, with annuity plan, they get to receive their pension for life, as oppose to those on gratuity.
2. They (My Dad & Co), applies for Annuity Loan, whenever, they set their sight on any goal and they're promptly disbursed with little to no hassle.
3. You get timely investment letters in your mail, detailing how your money with em have been used for such, the type of investment and what yield had emerged.
4. Based on 1, I have retirees with Stanbic IBTC, they don't get to be on annuity plan, talkless take annuity loan. (I stand to be corrected)
5 Based on 3,My wife is with Stanbic IBTC, she doesn't get to get that, unless, she download their app, which i can with leadway too.

Those are my submissions, why i think they're the best.

I don't work for em, I am only confessing to their services rendered.

This is not correct! You can register with an administrator without belonging to any company yet. You will be given RSA number which can be submitted latter whenever you get yourself employed somewhere. I am talking from my personal experience

You can't have a RSA without an employer, there's a certain %, the employer must remit in your name in the CPS.

I haven't seen anyone with a RSA and No employer.

I was at the towers to return the signed copy of the offer letter on Monday and pick up the introduction letter for my pre-employment medical, I met about 6-10 people waiting there. On the list we filled for before we submitted, my name was number 83. I know many people who got may not be closed to Abuja, so they will probably wait until the deadline to go. Interestingly too, all the people I saw, and the names on my attendance register page were all northerners/muslim except mine.

It's possible this is being done in batches though or we that were called are for a specific location which needs urgent manpower (cos my father-in-law said something like this last month).

In all though, I give glory to God, ur doubts and anger will not take away from me the APL which I already have. I pray as many of us still waiting will get ours soon in Jesus name.

Status Quo implies let thing's remain the same, should the werey lawyer got the wind, that, NNPC wann start dispatching APL, then he can seek succor in the court by filing an injunction.

When Fashola announced automatic employment for my grad set in 2014,he just pronounced it while outgoing, Ambode was incoming, nothing was done, we waited for 1 year & 1/2 sleeping, thinking, all will be well as pronounced, not knowing all wasn't well at all, apparently the power players had decided to exchange the name's of the beneficiaries, we got to know this from the Gov. office apparently when we decided to wake by soughting after media house's & rants on social media, fire em with letters cum petition, Ambode was surprised, he got a list of 900 grad student (All of which didn't include name's of the original beneficiaries, meanwhile we were just 320 or so), so Ambode ordered for the official graduation brochure & he was like wow!!.
That was how I & plenty other ajebriki got offer of employment in lagos state govt.

Often time's, leader's possess oversight, we think they see it all, they don't. last year, over 300 folk's got appt letter as an Environmental Health Officer, they weren't anything remote to that job, some people even studied fisheries & the opening was Envtl. Health Officer, when Ambode got wind of what had happened, He said, he endorsed the approval of their APL cos he thought they were EHOs.

MKK, PMB they may actually not know whatsoever permutations going on as regards this recruitment, it is when we cry out, they may later got wind of the real happenings.

Border line, there is no crime in calling for shortening in the luteal phase of recruitment, just cos NLNG took 3yrs doesn't mean this one should take yaomolikiyaomo or being in the know of happenings.

I don't support the trending of any hashtags. This goes against decent behaviour. Remember that you can lose control of the narrative once it picks momentum. No one can tell how the tone of the campaign will turn once the public who are not currently at this stage of the recruitment join the campaign. Also, you'll be making yourselves ready casualties of the result of opposition party insults of the current government and NNPC.

I know people who were in NLNG recruitment from 2013 that lasted for 3 years at least! In the end the recruitment was concluded after a pro-longed period of silence. We haven't even spent up to six months since the final stage. So what's the hurry?!

I expect that it is GTs itching for this campaign. EHs surely know that a Twitter campaign would more likely hurt than help us.

Actually, little pressure doesn't hurt in this case.

You'll receive your APL before the medical shit and the medical shit, all that is required is a Govt Hospital Medical Statement, I mean that one we used for NYSC.

Another misconception is to think that most of the people you met in the tower are shallow minded or empty. No, you are wrong. Many only turned here to not just an information center but also a place for fun and the fun would always go with the flow of the thread. The fun has kept the thread going. If not you would have had a grave yard and maybe had to unfollow the thread. As much as when I come here, I hope to see 'useful' information, I still prefer to see pages of AOB (one local man said that's the stage we are now) than nothing at all. The love bird, the 'checking something', the theories, APL predictions and all other comments that keep flooding this thread gives me (us) a sense of togetherness in pursuit of one thing - APL. It shows we are still in the game. It's what still makes us hopeful. If everywhere was quiet, you would think others have given up on the recruitment process. I have read some job thread where the followers are begging for comments no matter how useless, just to give a sense of hope and togetherness for the next stage of the recruitment. Also, if you see some things that are said sometimes on my class Whatsapp group, you might wonder if they are secondary school children. But no! They are actually very well intelligent with great character and personality. It's just what it is... Fun!


Finally, not like I'm encouraging the things anybody do here. You wouldn't see me give savagery replies or insult. And that's just my personality. I would rather give savagery to a person face to face. And if I do that to you, it shows you are one of my closest friends. This is just to say, personality differs. When you see a post you don't like, try to ignore. If you just can't ignore, check if it has been dealt with. No need flogging a dead horse. On a light note, there’s nothing like someone gave wrong account details, very wrong guess. We have seen people not on one occasion being called to verify their account details.
A more viable reason is that someone must have fixed the money knowing well APL’s release date and patiently waiting for its maturity.
