There are no uniform pricing bro, what a Clinic will charge you at Ikoyi, is different from what a clinic will charge you at Okokomaiko, or dopemu, what Davido will charge you is different from what Portable will charge. What a SAN will charge you is different from what a charge and bail lawyer will charge you.
It is painful that even if you have been driving for 8 years and above, your earning is not different from someone who just started 1 month ago, those are the oddities of this business.
It will be difficult for us to be united, some drivers are part time, some are full time, some drivers depend on this hustle solely for their survival, some drivers have other alternative means of income, some drivers are okay driving only 2 to 3 days in a week, so how do you expect to unify the drivers. Goals and Objectives of all drivers differ.

If drivers can just learn how to use inDrive, believe me, all this riders will adjust, just ignore trips that doesn’t offer good price and see how the rider will willingly increase the fare.

No it does not work that way, riders know how to search all the E-hailing apps for the lowest prices, bolt will offer ridiculous prices to entice the passengers, then offer the driver at the end of the trip some funny bonus or compensation.

My believe is that the rental model may no longer be sustainable with the current high cost of petrol and car maintenance.

I was at an event centre parking lot on Sunday, a guy walked up to me, turned out to be a copilot, it was lamentation upon lamentation concerning the low price, he asked am i using Gas, told him i dont have CNG... He said he was fed up, that he had only done 2 trips on indrive with useless prices, and that he was heading home, i encouraged, him to at least look for a destination trip to his house, he said he did not care and drove off. I was only able to do only 3 trips on indrive, because the prices does not justify the high cost of fuel.

Uber that will start counting waiting time immediately you get to riders pick up. You don't need to click on arrived before the counting will begin. But you see indrive. Their riders will waste your time ehn.

Just got the email that Uber is leaving Nigeria. What a sad news. I haven't stayed long in this job but Uber has been my best app. Their riders are more matured and well behaved.

Their fares are better than bolt and Indrive by far and they don't reduce driver score or ratings anyhow.

I remember Uber gave me a bonus of 50k for completing my first 10 trips when I started.

I agree with all you said, uber passengers are often better cultured than those on the other apps.

For the past weeks I have actually been very selective with trips like I can’t accept a trip that doesn’t make sense to me in terms of value, when I calc the km to cover and time involved to finish up the trip. Price has been bad lately
Bolt don kuku temporarily suspend my account cause of too many canceled trip.
Them say I wan damage their operations… na them actually get damage agenda just imagine buying fuel at 1300 and I dey see trips for 54 min drive 12 mins pickup and my pay will be #6000.
I don kuku leave uber for now. Bolt is doing abit better but not enough my humble opinion.

It is well. We go keep thriving regardless. It will get brighter with time. If you get other ideas endeavor to look into it too as you dey drive still dey find other opportunities.

Bolt still seems to be living in fools paradise, i remember about 2 years ago, an indrive staff doing a market survey, ordered me took a snapshot of my earnings on bolt, asked why i do not use indrive, told her bolt meets all my expectation, told her my complaints, which was being charged commission by indrive for trip that never happened, told me those issues have been resolved and well i started giving indrive a trial, and the issue of non refund of charges had been resolved. So as we chatted, i said so indrive wants to be the number 3 big dog in the ehailing industry, after uber, bolt, she laughed, and told me what i will never forget, "We are kicking Bolt out of Nigeria". I think Indrive believe in the superiority of the their negotiation system and most importantly blocking of drivers is not their primary focus.
I have lost access to my bolt account, guess what i doing just fine with Indrive. Recently I picked a lady at Shogunle, we got chatting,
Me: So when the price is low you remember indrive
Passenger: No i have been trying to get a driver on Bolt but non available.
Passenger: Infact indrive price is more expensive than what i saw on Bolt, but no driver available on the bolt platform and i am in a rush.

If bolt had not blocked me, i would have picked her order, and bolt would have earned their commission.
Lesson: Where the drivers go to is where the passengers will ultimately migrate to, no matter how much Bolt will slash their prices. Drivers are getting wiser!

It is still profitable for car owners, (extremely tough for those on rentals) under some condition.
1. You have a honest and experience mechanic, consider him as your business partner.
2. Ensure you do not skip periodic maintenance of your car
3. Avoid greed, meaning avoid trips to bad roads, no matter how mouth watering the price of the trip is.
4. Avoid traffic prone areas.
If you can meet those conditions above you are good to go.

Nice questions, this shows how grounded you are. Well, we finally settled for 1.3m, car would be used only within Lagos, for his movements to be driven by him. I suspect na going to visit long time friends, family, clubbing, going for functions, events and church activities. I insisted the car not go out of Lagos which he obliged to,if they try me, I go put am off for tracker(this is why tracker is important). He would be the one fuelling the car, though i would give it to him on a full tank. Lastly, the guy that connected me is a dear friend who has always given me great business, he's based abroad now, so even if anything like dent or so happens, he can come through. Fortunately for me, I had plans to travel this September, so it is to my best advantage, so by the time I come back in October hopefully the bad prices we see now would have been better.

Please are you looking for any station that sell CNG or station that sell with high pressure.
I don't use CNG, but i find this issue quite confusing. What do they mean that some station offer low while others offer high pressure.
recently i was at a mechanic workshop that speacializes in CNG installation, a car drove in and they said they wanted to do calibration.
So after spending hours to queue for cng, you still now have to go and have laptop connected to your car for calibration test.. wonder what other tests they need to run, like leak test or etc.. Wont surprise me when CNG gains more popularity, if FRSC or VIO start to ask drivers to produce their calibration certificate, Leak proof certification, etc...

This is how i was billed N50k fine for overspeeding on Bank Anthony, when i wanted to collect my road worthiness certificate.
The more we push a certain narrative on various social media, that uber drivers earn millions monthly, the more we are profiled for extortion.
Once a Corolla, Camry, Honda drives around marina, broad street, traps are already been set up to impound the car for no justified reasons because they assume he must be a uber driver.

Drivers on CNG delivers 100k weekly. I've someone who is driving a 1.3L Mazda 2 and he pays 120k weekly on RENTAL. Guy still pays weekly Ajo of 50k with us.

No let anyone whine you about the work, a lazy man is a lazy man even if you give am the car for 15k weekly he will still give you story.

Sorry if i may ask, do you have any sort of health insurance packages for your drivers.

My guess government is really trying to push cng u know Lagos State Govt is highly involved with IOGC. But whatever the case IOGC were amongst the pioneers of cng in Nigeria and dey are excellent converters with good after service so one has nothing to lose.
