if_i_hear: How efficient would a Laptop with the following configuration be:
-320GB Hard drive
-2GB RAM
-Webcam
-bluetooth
-intel
-HDMI
-DVD Writer
-WLAN
-WiFi
-64 bit
-Processor speed:1.66GHZ

I intend to use it for WAEC/JAMB etc registration and also for my AUTOCAD,3D design applications.
Please I need your advise on this because I think the processor is kind of low and might not make my applications/softwares run smoothly.

semid4lyfe: @ SimonAndal, why would you download DVDScr Quality version of Zero Dark Thirty (2.38GB) and Argo (1.37GB) when there are DvDrips and BRrips (720p & 1080p) versions respectively of these same movies with far lesser sizes?

If na 1080p BRRip versions, e for make sense but DVDScr quality version with those enormous sizes, Puhlease!

The 720p BRrip version of Argo has been online for like 2 weeks now and it's only 750MB/800MB. The 1080p BRRip 5.1CH version is 1.6GB.

Zero Dark Thirty is only in DVDScr but there's a very good watchable version which is just 650MB in size and the best thing is all these movies can be gotten from regular non-torrent sites where you can download with IDM so there won't be clogging of system resources.

You're wasting bandwith, time and resources IMO.

bigrovar: Being someone who has had his screen smashed and had to change it (DIY) I can confirm that the screens are indeed very expensive. The reason is that when you change the screen of your device.. you change not just the LCD and digitalizer but the whole from panel is changed.. heck the only thing not changed is the panel the battery and the front cover. In the case of the S3 I got the front screen for close to 40K and that was from back channels.. Changing from Samsung official is expected to cost more because you still retain your 2 years warranty.. so friends the best thing is not to drop your device.. don't give it to any gf or daughter or son.. keep it safe

caused by Samsung, then you have a case.... However, if you caused the damage by yourself,

then Samsung are not obligated by Law to fix your product.

Leopantro: lucky for me I got a friend to give me his windows 8 laptop and discussed with my friend google. was able to get it it out the loop. I made a recovery image with his system and tried it on my system using the recovery menu. computer starts the process then crashes. by now I was chewing nails. remember its an aspire one with no CD ROM drive and didn't come with installation CD. went to MS website and found out I wasn't the only one with the issue. the best news was that MS was also clueless on how to solve the issue. they gave some instructions about some commands to run in CMD which I did with no result.
my new laptop became a beautiful ledge for books. yesterday I got so angry I went out and bought windows 7 and an external CD ROM drive. window 8 had no BIOS screenso I had to ask google who told me to hold F2 while booting the PC. was able to change boot order and install windows 7 into the system.
I still have have nightmares about tiles and revolving dots

Your system does not support windows 8 in the first place. netbooks are not supported.
