I know nada about computers ...Maybe you need to know...I have a dell optilex tower at home and it has 512 mb of ram on it and works perfectly and i have installed win7 on not less than6 systems running with 512 ram......

We are not been payed to help..we are just here to complement each other and help out.

Well clearly my definition of usable and your definition of usable is different. I deal with

very fast computers and running windows 7 on less than 4GB is just pure toture...

The difference between starter and ultimate or professional is just the unavailability of certain features like changing desktop wallpaper and other minor things. It ain't structural so it would work without hiccups.


I dont advise you to download the software moonraker gave the link cos all theses software do slow your system down most times as they require large swats of memory to work.

Good!!! The bolded is the reason why you cant run anything higher than windows starter. Another issue

with the bolded area is that the Memory cannot be upgraded. Windows vista starter is a NO NO.

Now windows xp would be ideal for that system. But erm left to me, i think that windows 7 has

more features than Windows XP. plus microsoft has stopped support for XP to consumers.

dell precision m6600 quadro 4000m or 5010m, i7 xwetin call, throw in 16gb ram, get a 128-256 mb ssd, then things happened and i had to use the money fro something else

Bawss1: Just recently I happened to stumble upon a hybrid tablet running the full windows 8 OS. It was the HP Envy X2 and I must say it was a pretty decent device, immediately I must state that its processor is nowhere near whats on the Surface Pro, it sports an Atom processor while the Pro sports an i5 but asides that and a few minor differences I wonder why I would go for a Pro in the first place . . . My point here is that I think the Pro is in for some serious competition from the hybrid crowd. The likes of Samsung, Lenovo and Asus all have tablet hybrid offerings running windows 8 and there I was thinking that the Surface was the only one in this niche.

Look, The Surfsce Pro isnt for everybody, period. Its for people who truly understand how to use it and know the importance. now for someone

who just browses the web. check emails etc, there wouldnt be any use to do all that. But in an enterprise environment, such a device would excel.

imagine being able to run full blown x86 apps ranging from enterprise email, root packet etc. Something that the ipad or any android cannot not do.

oh and by the way, the HP x2 isnt powerful enough to do what the surface pro cant. CASE CLOSED!!!
