That is not true !!! Do your research well. Yahclick is a VSAT solution. Yes, Hyperia is the ISP currently offering that service to Eko Hotel & Suites but it is a Fiber Optic Connection NOT Vsat. Check the speedtest results well, you will see a PING time of 8ms. I am yet to see a VSAT solution with a PING time of less than 100ms. Don't take credit for something you have no business with. angry angry

dont mind him. i told him to run a speedtest to prove that he has such bandwidth, zero!!!!

webcalculator: i heared some laptops are refurbished and like every refurbished laptop it looks new. my question is how to differentiate a new laptop from the refurbished stuff
From experience

You can tell by looking at the screen. Does it have any dents? Check the body for dents too.

Check the keyboard for scratches.

samir101ng: cry cry cry cry

It's not fair at all. Nigeria is slowly crawling there but damn !!! Haven't heard about any optic fiber connection to the home (FTTH) for consumers yet, but am sure there probably is for corporate customers. Which brings me back to the problem of having no affordable high speed data connection for consumers other than Mobile Broadband. Etisalat currently has the most advanced network in the country with the deployment of HSPA+. The most advanced modem you can get in the country is the Huawei E367. It has a connection speed of only 28.8Mbps. Now, if you can get half of that speed on a good day, you will be the fastest Nigerian surfing the web i can guarantee that. But like i said earlier, the networks are so congested and slow that you can hardly dream of getting such a connection. It is possible though but highly unlikely.
Bros. The Nigerian Broadband problem doesnt just start and end with the ISPs. Another problem is that some nigerias do not like anything good or something

that would help everyone. Everyone in that country is thinking about themselves and themselves only. But who can blame them?? I mean when you got a government

that clearly isnt doing anything or has simply abandon their citizens?? what do you expect the citizens to do in that case. Indirectly, the government is saying

that there is nothing they can do for their citizens. Enough politics.

Lets talk Tech...

FTTH is old tech in my base. My friend has a gigabit connection at home which peaks at about 400M. he pays $55.

When i moved into a new crib here, it didnt have the FTTH line installed. I had to call up the ISP to install

the line. They used to electric polls to run the line into my crib. This tells me that if a company like GLO

wanted to connect the whole of lagos via fiber optic or even adsl, then it is very very possible.

when i was new to IT, i have always thought that in other for you to achieve even adsl speeds, all they have

to do is to install high powered base stations and then roll the cable using the power poles.

this however brings us to another problem. Vandalism. But that, my friend is a topic for another day......

Your system will do everything and anything OK BUT

when it comes to recent games or Video editing?? It will struggle to

keep up. With that being said, You can play some games but not recent ones.

Games made from 2007 uptill 2009 will be ok.

ciphoenix: K, sorry bout that smiley , does the kms activator have the same limitations with that for the operating system where you have to activate every 180 days? or is it like the one for 2010 where the ez activator option does it for good?
Now your talking. To the best of knowledge, Ez Activator never really activated your software permanently.

Now as you already knw, KMS isnt a permanent thing. you have to renew the licence every 180days. This system is

perfectly legal but the driving force or the reason why such a system was created was for organizations.

If you go the KMS route, then you have to renew your license. going the mak key root would activate you for life.

Just imagine. You never ever going to lose your precious documents again.

Once you create a document, its gets saved automatically to your skydrive

Its not a bad innovation if you ask me!!!!
