The Speaker of Anambra State House of Assembly, Mrs Rita Maduagwu has lost her bid to return to the State Assembly for the 3rd time.


According to the result officially announced by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the L.G collation center in Ukpor, the candidate of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Mr. Johnbosco Akaegbobi won the incumbent member representing Nnewi South Constituency II with 5194 votes while the Speaker polled a total of 5155 votes.
