Biafran monkey, you dey mad
Who are you calling Biafra? You are a bigger idiot than I thought. I am from the region that your whole lineages and so call political class are feeding from, we lock the tap and you'll be hungrier than you look now.

Seem you fell as a baby from a height which mixed sputum with your already shallow brain hence why you can reason like a cockroach that everyone that's not APC is Biafra. There will be rebellion even in your household if this hunger persist so maybe then you'll call your kinsmen Biafra.

Hypocrisy and Soludo are interchangeable. You didn't pity Tinubu when he approved 160 million SUVs for each legislator

You did not pity Tinubu when he approved 21 billion to renovate VP residence

You didn't pity Tinubu when he started a coastal highway of 17 trillion to last 8 years plus

You didn't pity Tinubu when his obnoxious policies has made over 14 large scale companies to relocate from Nigeria in the past one year

You are an hypocrite and elitists class. You didn't what local government autonomy so you can continue to pocket their money

I don't care where you work or where u have worked. You idea that the government should increase minimum wage to labour request is laughable. If government should do it then private sector will have to abide by the rule.
Banks, bakery, big time super market will all have to pay minimum wage of 400,000 and guess what they will pass the price to final consumer which means prices will increase... Inflation

Private teachers wil have to pay 400,000k to teachers minimum and those selling in the market will raise same to meet the markup, government will only print more money to pay and it continues.. While productivity remains the same or drop down ... It bring inflation and purchasing Power of naira drops down...

Soludo former cbn governor share this same idea I am trying to pass to u.

https://www.nairaland.com/8122798/pity-tinubu-he-approves-unsustainable

I think the UK recently increased it minimum wage April this year from 10.40 pounds to 11.44 pounds but here see the percentage of increment u are calling for (from 30k to 400k) what does that tell you?
And you don't just increase minimum wage to whatever percentage u like, you have to take into consideration your GDP which is ratio of wage growth to productivity in percentages... This is how modern economy works.

Lastly
I am not a kid either am almost 40 here and I have been on nairaland with different username a while
I don't give a hoot about your background either and it seemed you understood my initial take upside down.

1. Labour demands are unrealistic but very reasonable due to the economic problems the political class has brought upon us
2. Labour knows no one can give them 400k or even the 250k they are advocating but as a union it's their job to bargain the most for their members welfare given the inflation rate and the ostentatious lifestyle of the political class
3. I think a realistic 90-120k might be ok and Labour will gladly accept it with conditions of a review of the current electricity hike
4. Soludo is a hypocrite of the first order cos he blindly looked away from the corruption in the government and was telling us how he doesn't collect salary but we know monthly security votes monies he pockets is more than 10 years of his annual salary. He even objects local government autonomy which says a lot about him. He shares the same theories with you that brought us to this level while corruption is overlooked. He's a born hypocrite and every civil organizations is blasting him this morning if you check insider papers today. Like Sanusi his successor they only know elitist theories that creates hardship
5. The demands on foreign currencies is caused by the political class cos the humongous money they earned legally and illegally are used more abroad for children fees, buying foreign products etc.
6. If you pay labour sat 100k as minimum wage it will increase purchasing power of a percentage of Nigerians cos they buy in the local market.
7. The governors are a bigger problem that the federal cos there are no checa to what they do since they handpick their assembly members and coronate local government chairmen. They loot recklessly and put the state's in heavy internal and external debts
8. The government is looking for FDI but harsh economic policies and environment has made 14 large scale companies to relocate in the last one year the latest being Total Energy. What policies will encourage production with these high cost of inputs?

Lastly am 41 and have been giving my inputs to alternative Governance since 19. I studied the SAP document of IBB and came out with a domestic template which was acknowledged. I studied NEEDS document too which was brilliant but poorly implemented. Like I said,, you are entitled to your opinions but I know what will work cos am on ground.

Am actually studying MSC advanced micro and macro economics in the UK. alongside research.

Like I said u lack adequate knowledge to argue anything that has to do with economics.

For your information I am not an APC supporter or anything.

Buhari was a mistake who messed the economy, who printed a lot of naira and borrowed heavily.. This lead us where we are today.

Nothing good should be expected from tinubu likewise.

But in all this, it's common sense that increasing money supply will only lead to inflation and nothing more and I listed so many theory that proves me right.

If you like increase workers salaries to 1million without increasing productivity particularly in agricultural yield production you are wasting your time because large money supply will chase the few goods in supply.. Abi na money u go take cook soup?

If you want to get it sort out in the long run then ensure that
1) farmers are safe n goes to farm unhurt.
2) ensure that farmers are heavily supported via various schemes
3) ensure that roads are constructed to transport this goods to final consumer.
4) stop excessive borrowing to fund unproductive venture..
If all this are achieved then there will be a balance between supply and demand in the aggregate level
Mister, you are studying MSc Advanced Micro and Macroeconomics in the UK and you think it's the El Dorado to Nigeria s economic malaise? Its just basic theories and to think studying in UK gives you any edge on economic engineering in Sub Saharan Africa then it's a blind joke. Its still the same IMF methods that are not applicable to our conflicted and corrupted system that you will be imbibed with.

I studied Masters in International Affairs and Diplomacy (MIAD) in ABU Zaria and also did my first degree in Political economy. All in Nigerian federal universities. I have also done researches in various related fields and presented papers on subjects ranging from Farmers herders conflicts, Federalism, Grassroot development as it relates to our voting patterns, comparative analysis and international trade in Nigeria, Electoral and judicial reforms, the Nigerian market trends amongst others.

So there's no faculty of thought in Nigeria with regards to discussing Nigeria's socioeconomic challenges that I cannot make credible inputs. So you are very wrong on that count but who could blame you since it's a faceless forum? Maybe you can go to my X handles and Instagram pages and see the engagements we make daily with Nigerians across all spheres. I worked with Centre For Democratic Development for two years immediately after graduation before moving on to three different CSOs and finally building our own CSO base on our tenets for nation building.

I joined politics in 2003 (NCP) as an undergraduate and contested and lost a councillorship elections which gave me a springboard to delve into grassroot administration as a part-time researcher and wrote articles that have been published and in the libraries of some councils we distributed to free of charge

So Mr, I took some time to show you a bit of myself so you don't think it's the usual nairaland nuisance you are talking to and also because you were cultured enough to give me a snippet of yourself. I respect people that develop themselves intellectually in any academic field and recognise the diversity of opinions. Like one of our tenets say, 'if you don't like the rules then get t the top and change it'. That's why we encourage young people to join politics but we try to inculcate democratic Norms to them that centres on accountability and transparent service.

If you check my nairaland profile it's registered since 2009 so you know it's not a child you are conversing with but I always engage with whoever demonstrates ideal arguments cos it's all.aprt of our political and social education as a nation.

In your submission on the solutions you forgot one big issue. CORRUPTION. Those lofty ideas you suggested have been implemented but due weak institutions it was all looted away.

In my opinion, you first build strong institutions through reforms and review of existing acts since the holistic constitutional amendment seemed impossible and some areas in the country felt threatened. People are naturally scared of the unknown and wants to maintain the order of things.

Once our legislators do their jobs without interference or corrupt inclined motives then we'll get reforms gradually.

My take

We can't continue governance like this cos there can never be any economic prosperity. You won't see any reasonable project to justify these debts but white elephant projects used as vehicles of convenience for looters. Every state should tow the line of Rivers and Kaduna to probe past administrations and recover stolen funds.

I hereby call on the governor of Cross River, Prince Bassey Otu to probe the government of Prof Ben Ayade. That was the most wasteful Government in human history alongside Aregbe and Yeye Bello.

Nigerian Politicians are cancerous, I see why military interventions took place in the past and these crop of political leaders are so smart by retiring top military brass and installing their kinsmen to sensitive positions to avert any coup de'tat intentions while they loot the country dry. Buhari being a former military coupist reinvented this strategy and taught BAT who did the same. So by extension the governors are safe to loot.

We are not in a democracy, we are in Khaki-less military regime

Rubbish! You guys talk like we don’t know people who live in the East or have friends there. 2-3 years ago the East was something else , kidnapping and UGM doing shege , police stations being vandalized on a stead . Cubana said the truth simple! was a trailer of goods not destroyed on the Eve of Biafra day ?
I experienced shootings in the East 2022 at ifite Awka.
So this is how you want to rule Nigeria, lying and covering things in your region.
Yoruba’s remains the best , they call out wrong doings in their land unlike you people and the North that keep dumb.
Abge make Una dey talk true nah. Its not because am South South but we are the region that calls out our own and even fight them publicly rather than cover up. We saw Amaechi Vs GEJ as a prime example. That's also our weakness cos we don't cover up and easily used by the tripod politicians.

The Yorubas cannot be use as a yardstick for tribes that exposed the wrongs amongst them. Else they won't be labelled the most tribalistic people in Africa. Bar a few, they can cover hideous crimes and even in the work places they employ their own mostly when they are MDs or HRs or GMs.

The Hausa Fulani ranks second . Their tribal tendencies has caught up with the Nupes and Kanuris. In my time schooling there I saw the phrase 'fear North' face to face during 2001 religious crisis. The minorities there esp middle belt and southern KD don't hide crimes. In federal agencies wher ethey dominate, they employ only their people like the Bala Usman woman did in NPA by bringing 100% recruitment from north without aptitude test or exams and when Amaechi queried her alongside her looting she ran to PMB for cover. She even recruited Chadians and Nigeriens into NPA. I have seen most of them in Calabar NPA and Lagos NPA too. The have fake NIMs.

The Ibos also have tribalism in them especially in the business environment where they won't allow you sell but only refer to their fellow Ibos. And as neibours to some South South states we have heard complaints of them patronising mostly their products and people while always refering to us as Onye ah or nwoke ah in ways to depict you aren't one of them when they speak their language. We don't like it 😡

So the three major problems (sorry tribes😉) are all tribalistic but Yorubas comes first and the 2023 elections revealed that fact

You said you wanted to simplify and ended up writing gibberish. Try to be specific. What law did Erisco twist? Do you even know what marcentile law means? You still have not told us what exactly Erisco did illegally. You just keep shouting "Erisco erred" but you can't say how they erred. Instead of you to state facts, you are trying emotional blackmail on me with the Erisco staff/kinsman bullcrap.
Dude state your facts in very simple terms, WHAT DID ERISCO DO THAT IS ILLEGAL? How exactly did he buy or armtwist the law?
And if Chioma's father is a senator like you have been screaming, what would he have done differently LEGALLY? What would he that wouldn't amount to armtwisting the court in favor of Chioma?
Answer these questions and stop shouting like a pregnant woman with unstable hormones.

If what you have been saying here is what you teach in your class, then I don't want to be anywhere close to you or your class.
You did not fault what I said. You did not say I was wrong. You did not say Erisco did anything illegal. Instead you are saying if her father was a senator. So you agreed that what I said is the right court process and what was done to her wasn't illegal but you wished her father had the power to armtwist the court. Is that it? Please make this make sense to me. That Erisco should've been bullied by a senator into letting the girl get away with her crime?
I don't even know what to say to you. But please, stop teaching people nonsense.
Hope your daftness wasn't inherited or inhaled.

Let me simplify...

Erisco rather than her father being a supposed senator was the one who arm twisted the law. I only brought brought up the senator analogy to explain why Erisco wouldn't have been able to harass her with the aid of the judiciary if she was also from a wealthy class.

Erisco erred, period! He knew he can buy the law, period. He used the mercantile law to harras a poor lady cos he can. If she was rich the class she won't stay a minute in custody cos the law in Nigeria is an ass. A Nigerian based US Prof spoke on NTA this morning and he said "the Nigerian Judiciary does not have have good image out there" You can fact check.
You are defending the businessmen in robes because it favours you as an Erisco staff or his kinsman but I can assure you that today Erisco is the big fish and Chioma the small one. Tomorrow Erisco may be the small fish against a big fish facing same corrupt judges he used.

[quote author=Macmilla post=130282663]I am going to try one last time to educate you because your ignorance is very painful to read.

Summary of what happened:
*Chioma defamed Erisco.
-"Erisco is killing people"
-"wait till it kills you"
*Erisco gets her arrested.
*Police tries to settle it and tells her to apologize. *Erisco agrees but insists the apology will be on the same platform on which she made the accusations.
*Chioma pretended she agreed, but when released, she never made the apology on the platform, instead goes back to say they tried to force her make apology.
*Erisco gets arrested again.
*But police can not hold a suspect for more than 48hrs. Only a court can.
*So Erisco takes the case to court since Chioma has refused to take back what she said.
*Court remands her in prison to give time for investigation.
*Chioma's lawyers seek for bail.
*Court fixes bail conditions.
*Chioma could not meet bail conditions and therefore has to remain in jail.
*Chioma eventually meets bail conditions and is released. The length of time she spends in jail before meeting jail conditions is nobody's fault but hers. Nobody will grant you free bail on an active case just because you are pregnant. And if you have a miscarriage while waiting to meet bail requirements, you can't blame it on anyone.

This is what happened and that is how the legal system works. The girl basically wanted to go to court and she got what she wanted. She should not blame anyone for what she lost during her time in jail cos she kept herself there. Even while in jail, all she needed to do was a genuine apology and Erisco will withdraw the case from court, but her arrogance knows no bounds
Being wrong and stubborn cost her her pregnancy. Not Erisco. Not the court. Erisco was just trying to get justice and clear its name. If you say Erisco doesn't deserve justice, then you are what is wrong with this country. [/quoteleg

Let me make this abundantly clear, your likes are in no position academically, legally or otherwise to educate me on the subject. Nairaland is a faceless forum where any clown can say thrash but the best you can get close me in terms of enlightenment is to be a participant in my class. All you wrote there are based on a subjective process that favours the rich against the poor.
If Chioma's husband or dad was a senator did you think the judge will remand her in custody without sentencing?

Again I ask, what is defamation and what qualifies a defamatory statement and who determines that? The laws is skewed to favour Erisco today, tomorrow same law will be ignored if a bigger fish is caught in the web.

Na stage 2 inflation you de call for. Have you studied the Expectational Augmented Philip curve theory?
Have you studied the wage wage price spiral theory?

Can the government cought out this money you called without going back to print more money?
If what labour is asking for Is implemented it's to cost 10 trillion monthly. Does Nigeria has that money to push out?

The government should look for ways to increase productivity, that is national output.
They should look for ways to tackle insecurity so that farmers can grow food.
They should look for ways out all federal roads in order to transport foods, goods from North to South.

They should look for ways to be transparent in oil production. Ensures they partner with dangote to bridge the gap that exist in oil import.

If all this are tackle alongside corruption mostly among state government then real wage will increase.

There is a difference between real wage n money wage. ... Search that in Internet to learn more.

So the 160 million for SUVs per senator didn't cause inflation stage 2?

The 90 billion for Hajj didn't cause inflation stage 3?

The over bloated appointments and large number attending conferences didn't cause stage 4 inflation shey?

Its minimum wage for the Nigerian worker who's facing multiple hardships on all fronts caused by subsidy removals, Naira floating, high interest rates etc that will cause inflation?

There you go again with thrash. Its a court of competent jurisdiction that will determine if it's defamatory or not. The grounds of defence states "review"
You cannot preempt the court to determine if your suit is libelous, seditious or defamatory. Untill she's eventually sentenced the gravity can't be determined. There are sentences for each case given the circumstances.

Sentiment rules Nigeria. That is why majority of Nigerians condemn the action ERISCO Foods takes against the lady. Most nigerians place emotions above facts. The best way to handle the case is for the public to send apologies to the brand and assure the brand that its product will not be boycotted. You cannot save the lady by threatening the company. If you keep threatening the company, the company will choose to die as a hero than dying as a coward.

1.
Right from the moment the lady defamed the product, sentimentalists quickly began to beat drums of boycott against the product. According to ERISCO, the demand for the defamed product sharply dropped following the defamation. But sentimentalists now claim that the defamation would not have affected the brand. They claim that what will affect the brand is the action being taken against the lady. So, the brand should have waited to fold up before challenging the defamation? Before you judge a person, put yourself in his or her shoes.

2.
The lady lied against the product by claiming it kills people. Who will keep quiet when accused of killing people? Who? If you condemn ERISCO Foods but cannot keep quiet when you are accused of murder, you are nothing but a hypocrite.

3.
I would have condemned the action of ERISCO Foods if the lady tendered a sincere apology and the public joined her to ask the brand for forgiveness. The same public that the brand's survival depends on believes the lady's claim about the product and threatens to boycott the product. So, the company is trying to save its reputation.

4.
I know she had miscarriage while in police custody, and it saddens me. But we should also know that many workers in ERISCO Foods may loose their jobs and die of hunger because of her defamation. Are you saying it is right for her to try to kill people but it is wrong for the people to try to defend themselves? ERISCO Foods didn't get her arrested to cause her the miscarriage. ERISCO Foods got her arrested for the sake of justice. The miscarriage is a coincidence, not a deliberate action.

She said the paste contains Sugar. It is true, and the company never said otherwise. On the body of the paste, Sugar is listed as one of the ingredients in the paste. But the sentimentalists quickly joined her to cry that the company is deadly for putting Sugar in the paste. They implied that the company has been deceiving the public. How? Does the company hide the fact that the product contains Sugar? If not that you are stupid, you would have checked the ingredients in the paste before displaying your stupidity.

6.
The company explained that the paste is a multipurpose one that can substitute butter for bread. I saw some comments saying that such paste is being consumed for the same purpose in some Western countries. So, ignorance landed the lady and her fans into this mess. Who does a review without a thorough research?
Why not change your name to Immortal Clown 🤡

Perfect for your support of brutality and abuse off human Rights

We don't have any laws against product reviews in this country

Why did you take your time to write this thrash?
Is Erisco the first to be reviewed or criticised? Sitting presidents were shamed e.g GEJ. Even Aisha that arrested a student later apologize and gave hims a compensation.
The Erisco CEO is a high bred illiterate and has no business being in the corporate world. And you, a semi daft illiterate is defending his stone age approach. He took advantage of our mercantilist Judiciary to keep the lady in prison cos he has money to bribe them.

But he lost big time cos those against him are more than clowns like you that are for him! That's never good for any business in the long run.

Where's our humanity! She lost her babies there and that's bad

Raskimonojendor:
The soldiers killed were also ibos. Ibos in Abia state were hailing the IPOB terrorists as they were parading and having a good day killing other ibos in uniform inside Abia state. The military should not waste their time. IPOB are already experts in taking out their own people.

But if the Army still decides to go-ahead with the retaliation in Abia state, gladly the battleground is Alaibo in the SE.

It's not surprising that IPOB ran wild in Abia state unlike other South Eastern states. After LP won the election, Abia state is now the safe haven of the terrorists. IPOB and Obidients are not too different from each other. Alot of Obidients are IPOB members.

As for Peter Obi, he has gone deaf and dumb to the terrorism activities that happened in his region. If it was in a different region, he would have bored is with his long epistle of how Nigeria is not safe.

Moghalu's wife of do not invest in Lagos as also gone deaf and dumb.

The likes of dmerciful (currently abroad), kettykin, gidgiddy, racoon, sisterann e.t.c were hailing the killers on from their safe abode in the SW. Only jmoore and a few others like sonature were the voice of reason.

Hypocrites.
You are so dumb and daft. So you didn't see PO's tweet condemning the unspeakable action?

One will like to see how some of you look in real life probably there a signpost on your forehead written "dumbass" like the mark of Cain

RomanceRe: Wife Plasters Streets with 'Husband Snatcher' Posters by Morizo(m): 9:29am On May 30, 2024
NairaOcean:
A distraught wife took to the streets, plastering posters that accuse another woman of having an affair with her husband. The posters, which she pasted on walls, lampposts, and bus stops, bear the bold headline: "Husband Snatcher, Please Leave My Husband Alone." shocked

The woman behind the posters claims that her husband has been entangled in an extramarital affair with a woman she refers to only as "the side chick." The posters include photos of the alleged side chick along with a fervent message urging her to end the relationship.

This is not an intelligent way to go about it madam. I assure you that your husband will get nearer to the lady and may even give her the money to sue you.

Meet with your husband on this alongside with your family and his and then discuss this. Besides how many husbands don't have side chicks? Check your past too cos you seem like a former side chicks hence this crazy attention to your family. The Man is gone and you have him to her
