How can a level 7 civil servant in a federal parastatal earn 60k? That's not true, the least should be at least 250 minus pension and tax. Go verify. Depending on the agency level 7 can earn 300k or slightly above in the present economy and approved by the Salaries and Wages commission and captured as a legal document in their conditions of service.

Level 7 is a senior office probably new entrant so 60k is not reasonable unless in Local government councils.

Merging government agencies is a welcome development if done strategically devoid of sentiments cos there are some federal agencies that are located only in some poweful states and the politicians there will definitely resist so they can continually benefit employment opportunities from those agencies.
But for me the biggest way to cut down cost of governance is to reduce bogus allowances to public office holders. We should run a Unicameral legislature and have just one minister per ministry. Same goes to the state level. The Number of appointees to elected or appointed officers should be constitutionally regulated as well as scrapping the office of the first lady or first man at all.levels. a lot needs to be done to reduce cost of governance than targeting civil servants relying on meagre salaries in the name of minimum wage.

Farooq Kperoogi is simply injecting the narrative that the supremacy of Islam holds all the cards in any election in Nigeria. I was there and can tell you that most of the people in the town hall were just there for the money despite being party members. Some sat down at a bar close to Naval base Wapi road to share what was given with so much quarrels. Obi and even Atiku will get more votes than BAT if an election is conducted in that mini crowd without vote buying. Ayade is a generational failure and does not have the structure or loyalty to win even Cross River Northern senatorial seat for himself talk more of winning 30%vote for BAT.
