thanks anyway |
my girlfriend claimed to love me but always run to her ex each time i rebuked her or try to correct her. Note: both guys separated of religious grounds. i'm kind of worried, because it is not meant to be so, there is no perfect relationship, alas, will she continue to seek asylum to him. she will tell me each time we quarrel, she will feel like going back to him. This is a guy she knows to well that they arent going to end up together. Recently she said, the guy want her back, but she wont leave me because the guy havent change on the religious ground, so my problem is what do this girl take me for, does she actually love me the way she claims. i love her but i dnt really want to be backup plan and i want to settle with her but she is putting up this childish act. please Nlers, whats your take on this |

Nigeria 'interested' in hosting 2015 Afcon Seyi Akinwunmi, vice president of the NFF, has told Goal that the country has the capacity to host the Africa Cup of Nations if asked by CAF Oct 20, 2014 15:52:16 Nigeria could host the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations if Morocco pull out of staging the continent’s biggest football showpiece due to fears over the spread of the Ebola Virus Disease, according to Seyi Akinwunmi, vice president of the Nigeria Football Federation. While the north African country is mauling over the decision whether to pass up the opportunity to host the tournament, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) has already written to a few countries including Ghana and Egypt to ask if they can host the Cup of Nations. Morocco asked CAF to postpone the tournament to a later date instead of its present January/February schedule but the governing body is not ready to. Nigeria could throw her hat in the ring to stage the tournament despite fears of the possibility of teams from Ebola-ravaged countries qualifying for the competition and bringing along their supporters. Africa’s largest country was certified Ebola-free by the World Health Organisation on Monday, six weeks after the last case of the disease was reported and this could prompt renewed interest from international organizations. “I think we are interested [in hosting the Afcon],” new NFF vice president Seyi Akinwunmi told Goal on Monday. “It is not strictly the purview of the NFF alone but we have been asked [if we can host the competition] and we have said yes, why not? “I think that the National Sports Commission or the Federal Government is looking at the possibility of hosting the tournament,” said Akinwunmi who disclosed that CAF had not yet written to Nigeria. South Africa have already turned down the opportunity to host the tournament with Safa president Danny Joordan saying: "The Afcon 2015 tournament will not be held here. That issue doesn't exist. Caf must discuss this matter with Morocco.” With the Super Eagles struggling to qualify for the 2015 tournament, hosting the competition would give them automatic qualification to defend the title they won in South Africa last year. It could also be a way for Nigeria to show its leadership role on the continent after successfully curtailing the spread of the disease, something for which it has already earned the praise of the international community. |

NFF Election: Ogunjobi, Pinnick and Dikko in close race One of the trio of administrators is in line to become president on September 30 when the Fifa-sanctioned electoral congress finally takes place. As the race hots up to elect a new executive committee for the Nigeria Football Federation on September 30, Goal has tried to decipher where the race will swing to. We have learnt that former NFF secretary general Taiwo Ogunjobi is leading the race to win the presidential position but he is closely challenged by Amaju Pinnick and Shehu Dikko. The NFF election has been mired in crisis recently after a faction voted Chris Giwa as the president of the federation but Fifa has since brought sanity back after threatening twice to slam a ban on Nigeria’s football. There has been a lot of politicking after Fifa reinstated sacked president Aminu Maigari and ordered him to midwife fresh elections that have now been tentatively fixed for later in the month. The latest happenings show that Ogunjobi, who is a former chairman of the NFF Technical Committee, is enjoying a lot of goodwill among the 37 state football association chairmen who are delegates that will vote. But Ogunjobi has two major hurdles to cross if he must fulfill his aspirations and the hurdles are two very strong candidates for the post in the persons of Amaju Pinnick who is the Delta State strong man in sports and Shehu Dikko who is also a strong upcoming football stakeholder. One key hurdle that Ogunjobi will encounter is that he hails from the same South West region as the director general of the National Sports Commission, Gbenga Elegbeleye. Northern delegates are asking for a stake in the industry and this could work against Ogunjobi. Goal gathered that Pinnick is strongly backed by the Sports ministry while other sources dispel this as rumour and name dropping. It is said that since the government backing of Chris Giwa has failed, the ministry has handed off and asked candidates to find a way of lobbying the NFF delegates to vote for them while promising to support whoever emerges as winner. Another issue that would work against Pinnick’s candidacy is the regional card as he is from the same South South region as the sports minister Tammy Danagogo. Dikko, a young technocrat and member of the League Management Company, has the support of the Northern delegates who want somebody from that region to still be in power. It was also learnt that Maigari has endorsed Dikko who it was rumoured has the pedigree to lead Nigerian football to greater heights because of the football league organization knowledge he possesses. But among the delegates who are mostly state football association chairmen, there is an agreement and consensus opinion that the next NFF president must come from the state FAs. Since Dikko is not a state football association boss, it could be difficult for him to get the seat. This could make the way clearer for Ogunjobi or Pinnick to win the election. But since elections are known for surprises and unless the unexpected happens, one of these three looks the man to beat for the NFF hot seat and he is even supported by major stakeholders in the sports reporting sector in Lagos and Abuja, Goal also learnt. |
