Coast of living in Nigeria is one of the lowest, if you guys tour around the African continent you will know this.

Small bottle of coke is 200 in Nigeria but in Ghana its N720

And in south Africa it's N940, same as Zambia and Zimbabwe.

In liberia Bag of rice is around N170, 000.

Myself I'm even considering something like this, I've lost my job since last year, life has been hard, even harder: depression has overwhelmed me, I think I've lost it in this life. For everyday I looked at my 1yr 11month old son, I feel so sad that I shouldn't have brought him into this life. My life is turning upside, the boy is really suffering and his mother, no food to feed them, can't even afford to send him to schl, I'm so ashamed of myself. As I'm typing, Im in one secluded place thinking how to end everything ,I can't help it, I've failed them and even everyone.

I hate my life, I had to take courage from this lady, cos I'm in a very similar problem. Life isn't fair to me. Bidding you all good night in advance.

I really like how Funke always mix all tribes in her movies, she is a wise woman with vision. Although, most times, it's usually those in the trenches that are being deceived or used as tools for tribal wars. Even here on nairaland, the poor and the struggling middle class are always at each other's throats on this ..

In all, congratulations to Akin Funke (she could get an Oscar nomination for this), next deputy governor, Lagos state ...

Same for me too, Xmas was nothing to write home about, this new year celebration is the same, my baby boy is soaking gari in front of me as I'm typing. I pray that people remember to share festive to us so he can enjoy. Things is extremely rough and tough. I'm happy we are alive. All hopes is not lost.

I don't mind any support from nairalanders to. Thanks God will replenish your pockets in multiple folds.

Where I was managing to work in Lagos, my boss will owe last month to pay this month, so I subtly asked him for the owed months and he fired me, at least I'm happy the arreas he owed, he paid it and I managed to pay up my son's school fee. However, life have been very difficult for me here I cant feed myself, I cant even afford to send money for my wife and son upkeep back home, and my life is turned upside down here. Pls I need your help in 2 ways; 1) pls kindly help with a job connection if you have any sir, 2) pls kindly support with anything at all to survive this weekend sir. God will never leave nor forsake you sir.

Im on my way already, I had to leave early, what you helped with really go a long way and I appreciate it a lot. I will always keep you posted, even though I know for a fact that things will be so rough this first 2 months but I will try with all my power and by his grace to weather the storm, I must be sincere with you standard of living in Osun is different from Lagos state, and I here I am, practically going with nothing to keep me up till month end, but the joy of getting a job at least filled me and I am so happy I can send my son to school from the money I’m being paid and take care of my family and also help others in need just like you’ve been doing for me from time to time, if I can achieve all that. I’m fulfilled with the job.
