EducationMCB Students From AKSU Visit Inter’l Breweries by mosky360(op): 5:59am On Jun 26, 2019
According to Youth learn initiative “field trips are a great way to bring excitement and adventure to learning.”

Recently 300 level students from the Microbiology Department (MCB) of Akwa Ibom State University undertook a field trip exercise to the Port Harcourt Plant of International Breweries Plc located in Oginigba, Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Akwa Ibom State University (AKSU) places strong emphasis not just on classroom knowledge, but consciously seeks to expose her students to the practical side of their various disciplines. It is our considered opinion and belief that the things students see and experience during exercises like SIWES, field trips, teaching practice, etc not only helps to increase their motivation for learning but also greatly enhances the students understanding and grasp of their subject.

Currently a large number of Geology students from AKSU are on a 2-week intensive field trip exercise. A comprehensive report of that exercise will be .... (click the link below to read MORE==> https://www.aksu360.com/2019/06/mcb-students-from-aksu-visits-interl.html)

Call it Audacity of Hope and you will not be wrong. The true life story below paints a graphic picture of the odds that most Nigerian youths have to surmount in their quest to fulfill their life ambition. (READ TILL THE END)

Amongst her wishes and above all her desires, my mother wanted Aloysius Marcel, her son to be a Doctor!

After the completion of my study at St. Mary’s Science College (SMASCO) in 2006, I went to University of Port Harcourt for my Aptitude test in Medicine and Surgery in 2007. At the end of the exercise, I was not admitted to study Medicine, but was admitted to study Anatomy. I rejected that offer and in 2008, I moved to University of Calabar for a second admission attempt at tertiary education.

What many call “the Nigerian factor” did not allow me to be admitted on merit. Challenges upon challenges came my way. A popular Annang adage has it that “if a tree doesn't fall, the axe doesn't rest”. I left for Niger Delta University Amasoma and registered for their Basic class and on completion and successfully passing the exams for the one (1) year program that would have led to my studying Medicine, JAMB withheld my result. I went to JAMB office at Yenagoa but they advised me to go their Abuja headquarters and inquire of my result. EducationPeace Is Back.... An Op-ed From Afrosix Jaara by mosky360(op): 7:44am On Jun 01, 2019
Last month was filled with tension in the Obioakpa campus of Akwa Ibom State University. Every feet stood alert aiming to sprint at the sound of any knockout. Students were worried and i could recall this incident once happened in my dream last year but i waved it away, now i see it played in reality. A typical DEJA VU you can call it.

As exams approach her exit, PEACE is back on campus, as i see persons stroll down streets with smiling and calm faces compared to the rush hour motion last month. Truth be said, i was wondering what kind of measures will be taken to maintain peace and am impressed at what I've seen....
