Health / #coronavirus ...USA Halts All Funding To World Health Organization (+VIDEO) by mosky360(m): 8:54am On Apr 15, 2020
President Donald Trump has announced that he is halting funding to the World Health Organization (WHO) while a review is conducted. Trump said the review would cover the WHO's "role in severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of coronavirus."

Trump's announcement comes in the middle of the worst global pandemic in decades and as he angrily defends his own handling of the outbreak in the United States. This also comes amidst swirling questions about whether he downplayed the crisis or ignored warnings from members of his administration about its potential severity, Trump has sought to assign blame elsewhere, including at the WHO and in the news media.

The US funds $400 million to $500 million to the WHO each year, Trump said, noting that China "contributes roughly $40 million or less". He said the WHO had "failed in its basic duty" in its response to the coronavirus..... Religion / Your Rhapsody Of Realities Devotional For Sunday, The 5th Of April 2020 (+VIDEO) by mosky360(m): 6:30am On Apr 05, 2020
Theme: "Make the Right Confessions"
Take with you words, and turn to the LORD: say unto him, Take away all iniquity, and receive us graciously: so will we render the calves of our lips (Hosea 14:2).

Words are so important. As a matter of fact, words are everything. Every time you speak, you shape your life and future; you chart your course. You’re the product of your words. Therefore, it’s up to you to chart your course for a greater and brighter future, with your words. Don’t talk to promote the problems and difficulties you’re facing; declare your victories. Have the right words in your mouth.

You may have read the inspiring story of the Shunammite woman in 2 Kings 4:8-36. Even though her son had died, she hurried off to the Prophet Elisha with only one declaration on her lips, “It is well.” She wasn’t screaming for help or complaining; rather, she went to the prophet of God with the right confession, and she got a miracle. She didn’t speak on the basis of her situation; rather, she spoke in agreement with God. The Bible says in Isaiah 3:10 DRB, “Say to the just man (the righteous) that it is well…. Health / #coronavirus ...FULL TEXT Of Speech By Nigeria's President by mosky360(m): 8:27pm On Mar 29, 2020
Fellow Nigerians,
From the first signs that Coronavirus, or COVID-19 was turning into an epidemic and was officially declared a world-wide emergency, the Federal Government started planning preventive, containment and curative measures in the event the disease hits Nigeria.

The whole instruments of government are now mobilized to confront what has now become both a health emergency and an economic crisis.

Nigeria, unfortunately, confirmed its first case on 27th February 2020. Since then, we have seen the number of confirmed cases rise slowly.

By the morning of March 29th, 2020, the total confirmed cases within Nigeria had risen to ninety-seven.

Regrettably, we also had our first fatality, a former employee of PPMC, who died on 23rd March 2020. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family in this very difficult time. We also pray for quick recovery for those infected and undergoing treatment.

As of today, COVID-19 has no cure. Scientists around the world are working very hard to develop a vaccine..... (click the link below to read MORE==> https://www.aksu360.com/2020/03/coronavirus-full-text-of-speech-by.html)

Education / Scientists Have Discovered An Animal That Doesn't Need Oxygen To Live by mosky360(m): 5:20pm On Feb 27, 2020
Researchers just discovered a unique organism that doesn't need to breathe oxygen. Instead, the tiny parasite lives in salmon tissue and evolved so that it doesn't need oxygen to produce energy. It's a brilliant simplification that proves, sometimes, less is more, said Stephen Atkinson, Senior Research Associate at Oregon State University's Department of Microbiology.

"When we think of 'animals,' we picture multicellular creatures that need oxygen to survive, unlike many single-celled organisms including protists and bacteria. In our work, we have shown that there is at least one multicellular animal that does not have the genetic toolkit to use oxygen."..... click the link below to CONTINUE reading ==> https://www.aksu360.com/2020/02/wait-for-it-scientists-have-discovered.html

Education / The Defining Moment Has Arrived... #aksu2019convoc by mosky360(m): 5:11am On Nov 04, 2019
After putting in tones of energy, time and resources, a convocation ceremony is a special day in the academic life of students.

Convocation is when the University and broader community recognize your years of study and dedication, and join in celebrating your achievement! It is a formal acknowledgement of your development and a time to reflect on your accomplishment.

Wearing the traditional academic regalia and walking up the stage is the dream of every student. This is usually done in front of fellow colleagues, friends and family members who have supported them in their difficult endeavor.

The Convocation day is one that every student that is admitted into the University dreams about. It helps Graduating students to:
- Reconnect with their Faculty colleagues who have in one other or the other, significantly influenced your life
- Say goodbye to your fellow classmates
- Provides the opportunity for your family and friends to acknowledge your achievement.
- Officially become members of the Akwa Ibom State University distinguished alumni.
