Politics / Work Resumes As NLC Calls-off Minimum Wage Strike by mosky360(m): 5:56pm On Sep 30, 2018
The National President of Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Ayuba Wabba, announced the immediate suspension of the minimum wage strike at a press conference today Sunday in Abuja. The suspension means workers are expected to resume duties on Tuesday 02/10/2018, as Monday has been declared a public holiday by the federal government to mark the October 1 Independence Day.

The workers are demanding a new minimum wage of about N50,000 instead of the current national minimum wage of N18,000. Most state governors as well as proponents of true federalism have, however, argued that states should be allowed to set their own minimum wage especially as many states are barely able to pay the current N18,000 current minimum wage.... Religion / Your Rhapsody Of Realities Devotional For Sunday, The 30th Of September 2018 by mosky360(m): 7:28am On Sep 30, 2018
Theme: You are on a Mission
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned (Mark 16:15-16).

The Lord has given us a vision, a very clear vision, and each of us is on a mission, and the clarity of that mission is so important. Everything you’re about must be in pursuance of your God-given purpose on earth. Read our opening scripture again, and see your purpose on earth: it’s the salvation of lost souls. You’re the one ordained and appointed by God to take the message of Christ’s salvation to your world and beyond.

2 Corinthians 5:19-20 says, “To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ….” This is your mission on earth. Refuse to allow anything to distract you from it, for it’s your primary responsibility; it’s the purpose for your life; be focused on it... Religion / Your Rhapsody Of Realities Devotional For Sunday, The 26th Of August 2018 by mosky360(m): 7:06am On Aug 26, 2018
Theme: Life and Righteousness Through the Gospel

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith… (Romans 1:16-17).

From the verse above, we observe that first, the Gospel of Jesus Christ - the Word of God concerning Jesus Christ, and the salvation that He brought - is the power of God to save men. His power to bring those who believe out of sin, into the life of righteousness, is encapsulated in the Gospel of His grace. There’s no other way to learn about, receive, or understand the righteousness of God outside the Gospel.

Then, in 2 Timothy 1:10, the Apostle Paul shares another inspiring thought: through the Gospel, life and immortality have been brought to... (click the link below to CONTINUE reading: https://www.aksu360.com/2018/08/your-rhapsody-of-realities-devotional_26.html)

Education / China’s Space Program ‘continues To Mature Rapidly’ - Report by mosky360(m): 6:34am On Aug 23, 2018
It's no secret that China's growth in the past few decades is being reflected in space. In addition to the country's growing economic power and international influence, it has also made some very impressive strides in terms of its space program. This includes the development of the Long March rocket family, the deployment of their first space station, and the Chinese Lunar Exploration Program (CLEP).

China is clearly stepping up the militarization of space despite public statements to the contrary, the U.S. Defense Department (DoD) contends in its most recent report on China’s military capabilities. DoD by law must submit a report annually on military and security developments involving the People’s Republic of China. The 2018 edition was released few days ago. Education / Get Your PVC ...akwa Ibom State University Urges Students. by mosky360(m): 1:06am On Aug 18, 2018
The Management of Akwa Ibom State University has directed that Monday, the 20th of August 2018 be observed as a lecture-free day, in other to give students ample time to take part in the ongoing Voters Registration Exercise. To this end, students are enjoined to locate the nearest INEC registration centre closest to where they reside, register and obtain the Permanent Voters Card (PVC), without which they will not be able to voter for their candidates of choice in the 2018 Nigeria's General election.

Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission had extended the 2018 Voters’ registration exercise by 2 weeks. The implication of this is that exercise which was supposed to end on August 17th will now run till August 31st 2018. Several ways have been identified that Nigerian youths can help fast track the process of electing credible politicians into positions of power. Some of these include:
- Replacing your damaged or lost Permanent Voters Cards
- Requesting for a transfer of your polling unit if you have relocated from where you originally registered
- Helping to enlighten prospective/registered voters in your ward or immediate locality.

Every well-meaning Nigerian should endeavour to join massively in this exercise and this ought to be given some level of priority at the moment. Remember that "your PVC/Vote is your primary contribution to the development of our beloved country called Nigeria".

Education / The Night that was ...Genesis Of Laughter: by mosky360(m): 12:06am On Jul 20, 2018
In another evidence of the student-friendly environment that has been created by the management of Akwa Ibom State University, led by the dynamic Prof. Eno J. Ibanga, and after weeks of planning, Big Bulb Entertainment finally on Wednesday, the 18th of July 2018, held-down Akwa Ibom State University for some hours in an event that was tagged ‘Genesis of Laughter'. It was a night of pure comedy, deep inspiration and a moment set aside by the organizers to reward a few of those, who have made significant strides and contributed in no small measure to the peace and development of the students’ community in Akwa Ibom State University and beyond.

'Genesis of Laughter', the first of its kind in the state-owned varsity, did live up to its billing as the event featured Dance, Spoken words and Stage plays that were laced up with loads of undiluted comedy, leaving the guest reeling with laughter, which we have been told is 'medicinal'

The awards that were presented in the course of the event were in the following categories:
*Lead Role Awards - This award was to honour student(s) who have demonstrated an extraordinary personal commitment as an office holder (SUG) in the development of Akwa Ibom State University.
*Era Achievement Awards - This award was given out to honour student(s) who have attended great strides in helping other leaders to archive their goals.
*Award of Outstanding Contribution - This award was given to student(s) that have gone beyond just delivery, in their role leading to significant change or achievements either in the area of sports, entertainment, entrepreneur and politics....
