If you said increasing your writing scorevia EOR will only give you 435, then there's no need. Don't do EOR and don't retake the exam. You have gotten near maximum points from IELTS. Look for other means of increasing your score e.g. the 2nd certificate as you already plan to do. glowberry: So i am very confused and dunno if I should request for an EOR. Here’s my result Reading 9.0 Listening 9.0 Writing 7.0 Speaking 7.5
The writing has removed about 6 points from my generated crs score. I’m just confused. |

For all those who are just joining, I think this might help.
● Acquaint yourself with the acronyms used. It took me over a week to understand all the acronyms apart from ITA, IELTS and EE. I kept going to page zero everytime I heard AOR, ECA, COPR, PPR, POF, PR, GCMS etc.
● You can't run away from Page zero. Pls read it.
● Compartmentalize your stuff. First know all you need to get ITA, as you are at it, you would get to know what is required for PPR. However, still get the overview.
● You don't have to read through everything. Some stuff doesn't concern you, just pass. If you don't need ACCA, don't bother when those that need it are discussing about F1-F4.
● Ask direct questions; people are more likely to respond to direct questions. Rather than asking 'pls tell me how to get ITA' if you ask 'is it possible to get an ITA a day after creating and submitting your profile?' someone would definitely respond.
● You can get lots of info here and for free. An alumnus of your Uni may be here and have the contact of the guy in charge of transcripts and that would help you a great deal.
Una well done oh, our people of this group. You guys are the best |

Yes, even before I started considering the EE sparkle2k3: Were you previously ECFMG certified before registering with MCC? I am asking mentioned you're certified and they won't be sending to your school. |

Yeah. Thanks. I think they have a huge traffic these days fatiah: Ok. But I'm surprised it's still at that stage since its almost a month it was recieved. It should have been at least sent to ECFMG by now if not even verified. I really don't know what could be causing d delay. Maybe their workload has increased. I guess u just have to keep calling and hopefully they comply. |

Okay. It shows 'Received and Viewable online' Date received was 10th May fatiah: I think u are not getting it. Document status is different from verification status. It will continue to show pending verification till its verified. Check out a screen shot of document history and status panel |
Travel › Re: Step By Step Process For Evaluating Medical Degre For ECA Canadian Express Entry by mosky47: 10:57am On Jun 04, 2018 |
It's been showing 'Pending verification' and has been so since the 10th of May. I chat them every week to ask for my status. They politely tell me it hasn't been verified yet. I was hoping that it has been sent to ECFMG. So from what you are saying, they haven't even sent to ECFMG. And I was having high hopes that I would get the ECA soon. fatiah: Ok...good! Yes, it will. BTW, what does the status say presently? |
Travel › Re: Step By Step Process For Evaluating Medical Degre For ECA Canadian Express Entry by mosky47: 9:45am On Jun 04, 2018 |
Yeah. I know. I was asking if I will know when it has been sent to ECFMG. I'm already ECFMG certified, so ECFMG won't be sending to my school. Will the document status on that pane change when they send to ECFMG? fatiah: You have to check ur document status so u can know when ECFMG Sends ur credentials to ur school for source verification, hence u'll know when to contact ur school so they can promptly reply. To check ur document status, click "Documents " on ur account homepage and then click on d specific document eg medical degree. Check out this link for documents status https://mcc.ca/services/source-verification/document-status-legend/ |

Hey everyone. I just saw this thread. I wished I had seen it earlier before sending my credentials to MCC.
Now, I'm in the waiting period. My documents were received since the 9th of May and my status still shows 'Pending verification'.
Is it going to change when they send to ECFMG? Or will they update it only when it has returned from ECFMG? |

A big congrats to you!! I'm getting confused here. You already have an ITA in January, do you still need a provincial nomination? I had thought the extra 600 points help in boosting one's CRS and potentially getting an ITA. Please fill me in. o2: I have just been nominated by Manitoba province and 600 marks have been added to my EE profile. My timeline is stated below.
Invitation to apply: Jan 31,2018 Submitted application: Feb 20, 2018 Sponsors submission: Mar 2, 2018 Sponsors interview: May 7, 2018 Request for add documents: May 11,2018 Add document submitted: May 22, 2018 Provincial nomination: May 31, 2018
Some things that will help you. 1. Make sure there is a proof of relationship with your sponsor. In my case I used my cousin Her father is my fathers elder brother. Both of them didn't have birth certificate so I had to do a letter of attestation to show common parentage. Make sure you do this at National Population Commission (NPC) . An affidavit WILL NOT be accepted
2. Proof of funds should be what CIC requests. On Manitoba site the amount required is lower than that which is required from CIC. To make your application take less time. Make sure you have funds stated on CIC site for the number of people in ur family in your best interest.
3. Make sure you submit your educational credential assessment with your application because they will ask for it later. It was part of the additional documents requested from me later.
4. If you have been refused Canadian visa before don't hide it. Come out and explain what you applied for and why it was refused.. I have been refused study permit twice and I explained and attached documents to show my admission and refusal. Lieing will backfire.
5. If there is any additional info you can still go and update it on MPNP online. During the application time I delivered a baby and I quickly added the info. Thank God I did because my office was called to confirm my employment status and the immigration officer was told I had gone on maternity leave.
6. Make sure your sponsor knows you very well. The interview is deep. They will ask them a lot of questions about you. Most times they will purposely mislead your sponsor to second guess them. My own cousin had pictures of us before she went to Canada and I'm sure that helped. I was one of the bridal train at her wedding and she still had the pictures
Most of all pray, pray, and pray. So first stage dusted. Time to prepare for second stage which is PR proper. I hope I was of help. |

Well, I'm sure you would be referred to read Page 0. But before then, this your uncle with almost 15 years experience as a pharmacist should be somewhere close to 40 yrs old. He may not be the best applicant, especially if he doesn't have a first degree relative who is a PR or citizen of Canada and he didn't study in Canada. His CRS score may be quite low. My assumption is that his wife is younger, she would attract more points. I'll let the others answer you. tizzdi: cc glitteringStar cc 40manlappy ..sir and ma pls o..dont be offended for calling u guys out..am in serious need of help so my dads younger bro is a pharmacist by profession with almost 15yrs experience..has 4 kids witb his wife so i explained the express entry idea to him and since then he’s been so interested more than me..problem is that we really dont have the mind to do it on our own ..and we got to knw about an agent that does it ..a trusted one but the price for just the agent fee is 300k...150k to begin consultation and pay the rest when he finally gets the PR..so he wants to apply but just for himself then later sponsor his wife and kids..is this wise?...pls i really need help or guide in dis ..aunty glitteringStar ema binu abeg u guys should help me just a little bit of ur time even if its just an hour to explain this for me |

I just saw my result. MOD. LRWS: 9,7,7,7.5
I was so disappointed with my Reading.
Although, I prepared for only 2 weeks, I had earlier written the Academic test less than 2 months earlier and aced it. Even had a 9.0 in reading.
My Reading score of 7 discouraged me this morning. But reading people posts about MOD messing up people's result with 6.5 in writing, I must say I'm grateful for my narrow escape. |

Really sad. I don't know why we make things difficult in Nigeria. dudujomi: To your question that who did we offend in this country, I seriously don't know. Maybe we should ask our 'elders'. It took 8 month for Lautech to send verification for my hubby and I. I was fortunate to get someone's number at the registrar's office. Could u believe the verification was done less the an 2 mins. Just to press a click on the computer took them 8 months. Its annoying. Rewriting my IELTS na d koko. I refused to be worried abt the nonsense here. |

Good to know. Thank you I had earlier seen on the Canadavisa website where a few persons complained about it. And I was wondering if fellow Naijans had similar experiences. Randomsue: the only discrepancies will be if you are unable to prove any of the details you have inputted in the CRS tool. For the IELTS, please aim to score the highest band across all 4 modules to get the highest score though with 8777 in LSRW will suffice depending on your other metrics.
oh..you also lose 5 points for each additional year added to your age |

Has anyone here ever noticed a discrepancy between the CRS simulation tool, and the actual score on the EE profile. If yes, which is higher?
My simulation score looks good, but I'm hoping it won't be lower when I get my IELTS result and finally enter the pool. |
