What stage would be best for me to go for a new passport and how do I notify CIC?

ANS: I think since its less than 6 months to go, you can start processing it, knowing how long it takes sometimes to renew passports in Nigeria. Do not wait for them to request for passport (PPR) before renewing your passports. And I don't think they will issue you a PR inside a soon to expire passport. Let our seniors add mouth.

Any Idea on how to know which office is attending to my file?
ANS: Through phone call or emailing them. Also via raising a CSE or even ordering GCMS notes. Me personally, I don't care which office since I cannot change it. But I know many people are interested in knowing which office.


@ what stage can I add the lady I want to settle with in my application?
ANS: You can add her as soon as you marry her (either legally or traditionally; preferably after a court/church marriage)

The ADRs have delayed your timeline. You'll probably move to med passed same time the last adr you sent changes to under review or not applicable.

When you order GCMS notes, you'll see that your file was 'parked' while awaiting the additional documents.

Don't know if I should be worried. AOR is August 17th. I've had two ADRs, one for September 14th (spouse's IELTS) and another September 17th( IMM5475) authorising that my spouse can check our application status on my behalf but yet to receive any update on Medicals and Biometrics.

Usually If successful you'll get the debit and the TB narrative in your alert (at least that's d case in the two banks I use - diamond and GTB). It normally comes in Thursday or at most Friday morning.

You can buy the T/Bills before submitting your application and getting AOR. Purchasing the T/Bills may help you prove you are keeping the money long term. However, you still need to do a gift deed and also include an LOE that will explain how you got the money. It's about explaining how you got the bulk sum to the VO.
