Romance / Re: Your Best Friend Fell In Love by mostHandsome01: 12:51am On Jun 16, 2018
LivingFree:
My best friend from school, we met when we're 11, married my ex boyfriend who I introduced her to. I dated the guy when I was 23/24 and turned down his marriage proposal because he was broke and uneducated. So we ended the relationship since I wouldn't marry him.

He approached my bestie and she hid this from me. She actually broke my heart by telling me "she and I can't be friends because I'm a bad influence and she's trying to be a good Muslim woman". I was the bad girl, I smoked, clubbed and didn't wear a headscarf. (I think he told her to drop me)

I found out a couple of years later, (my brother told me she gave birth, and married so and so) I wasn't invited to the wedding obviously, even though we promised to be eachother's bridesmaids cry

She apologized nearly 8 yrs later for ending our friendship and for judging me but I still haven't met her children or rekindled our friendship. She is still has my heart and will be my best friend but... from a distance.

She made a man out of him though. She put him through school because she was already a graduate. I am angry because she sold herself short! She deserved better than him but... who am I to say that.

I wish them all the good in the world. I just wish he didn't take my blood sister from me. -We made a blood bond in school- a childish act (we pricked our finger with a pin and rubbed the blood)- this made us 'blood-sisters-
grin grin grin

The memories, op! Look what you made me type embarassed

hmmmmmm ur story got me speechless

The question is asked as if I actually had a choice in the matter.

truth be told, the Nkechi lady was wrong, but I am so pissed at how some people reason, everyone can clearly see juliet meant no harm from her first post, But ur hatred for juliet won't let u all speak the truth. God will help some Nigerians and unnecessary bitterness.

This shouldn't be a surprise, when an incompetent, brain dead fellow rules the affairs of a nation, these are the kinds of reports you get to see.

Speak for yourself woman, if this stupid man is our current president, then Nigeria would have been in economic recession COMA with no hope of recuperating. Mind you, i'm not a suppoter of Buhari's Administration, but he has atleast given us something to rely on "HOPE".

You need to go to GTB with your international passport and pay N57600 for visa fees, afterwards
visit www.ustraveldocs.com to register your profile and www.ceac.state.gov to fill your ds160 form.
N.B Choose Abuja because you won't see any date in August and September in Lagos.
This is all you will need.
OH MY, CANT THANK YOU GUYS ENOUGH, YOU MADE THE WHOLE PROCESS SO EASY FOR ME, WILL DO JUST THAT.

I think you have to apply by yourself. There is plenty of info on this page to help you. Also you can log onto the US consulate website for more info. I hear it's pretty easy to apply on your own.
THANKS ALOT, WILL DO JUST THAT.

Shouldn't your company be taking care of travel logistics? Weird because that is the way it happens in most other countries.

That being said, how fat your bank account is does not really matter. What matters are your ties to your home country. I would say if you have a genuine letter from your company stating your role, purpose of the trip and confirmation that they will bear all expenses for your trip, that should be a plus for you.

Also, do you know what you will be doing with your senior director in the US? Are you both attending a training, conference, visiting another company or your company's US affiliate etc.? Can you get a letter stating this purpose (with your name clearly stated) from that US group/company/affiliate?

Anything that clearly indicates you have a connection in Nigeria that you do not intend to abandon is what you need. Good luck.

Oh yes I have been emailed a detailed explanation of what the trip is about, It is a business meeting between our organization and a US company we are affiliated to.
I will also be getting an invite letter from the company abroad likewise my organization here in Nigeria will be giving me a letter stating the purpose of the trip and that all journey expenses will be covered by the company.

My statement of account has an inflow of cash but as soon as money comes in, i withdraw it the next day because of a personal project have been on, leaving me with a very low account balance; this is so much a worry for me

You don’t need a fat statement of account for USA or any European country . All they need to see is a history of inflows (steady) in your account to gauge your financial well-being which enables them access the possibility that an applicant will abscond based on his/her economic situation back here at home . And fortunately US visa officers hardly ask for a document when assessing a B1/B2 visa application. I’ve applied for schengen visa (France ) with 240k in account balance and it was issued .

I’ll advise you apply and secure a date in abuja or lagos and complete the form honestly.

ok thanks alot, About securing a date, I didnt quite get how my director wants me to check if there is an open window for interview before september, pls kindly help if there is a way to check an open window,

Hello guys in the house, I appreciate your efforts here. I kindly need ur helps as quick as possible.

I was called by my branch director yesterday saying I will be assisting one of our senior directors to the usa by September, he said the company will be paying for the whole trip, He also said money will be forwarded into my account to pay for my visa form and i should check if there are open windows for interviews before September. I went home to research about traveling to the usa cos have neva been to the US. I realised i needed a fat Statement of account so i told my director today and he said thats not an issue because the company will issue me a letter that i will take to the embassy which will state that all my journey expenses will be taken care of by the company.

Have been thinking, if i knew this journey will come up, i would have been building up my account because i dont know.if the letter the company will give me will be able to cover statement of account

so my questions guys.
1) How do i check if there is an open window for interview before September as i am new to this thing and everything seem to be in a rush

2) Will the letter my company will be issuing to me be enough to stand in place of the company's statement of account

PLEASE HELP A BROTHER WITH THIS ANSWERS GUYS
