Contract talks between Isak and Newcastle has crashed.
Isak will leave if Newcastle doesn't qualify for UCL. Arsenal have already shown interest.

Gyokeres on loan in January. We can get Isak in the summer. Maybe Bakayoko too in the summer if we can't get him in January. Send back Neto and get Garcia.

True. It’s high time the players take the heat.

By the way, when are we selling Tomiyasu? Baba is never available. How many match him play last season? I guess we might be forced to use Zinchenko.

Sallah go roast us sha. except Timber miraculously return before then.
By next Summer, we should send him back to Italy. Funnily, he is always fit whenever we have a full squad to choose from but not when we need him.

Zinchenko? I'll rather we play Myles. Could Myles be ahead of Zinchenko going by the substitution yesterday?

Spot on!

If you a fan has observed this, I shudder to think how much data the americans would would have amassed on the flamingoes and their pattern of play with their professional match analysts cos they'll go way back to the WC Qualifiers.

I hope our coach and his crew will do their homework on the american team too cos this game will be won and lost from the bench.

The flamingoes can beat the US team but the coach has to be tactically astute, and not leave them to play their normal game, and be shouting orders like "follow am', "ma fun laye", "eh watch e", "iwaju' , 'emu eyan kan", etc from the sidelines grin

don't be surprised to see Saka start against Liverpool, that boy and White too stubborn when it comes to playing with or without being fully recovered, and Arteta like that attitude die. Arteta saying we will fly against Liverpool can only mean an important squad player might be making a comeback from injury. How we hide injury updates about our players makes it hard to know who's really in or out. And about the discipline issues, I think Arteta is talking about it to them but maybe not too serious or these players head dey just touch sometimes. I remember reading about having a word with white when he got red, and punishing Trossard for his too, if he wasn't talking about it to them, I don't think he would have given Trossard the light punishment that he got.
You're spot on bro

Saka and White have this 'stubborness'. Odegaard is stubborn too but not in the same level. Arteta said Odegaard has been yearning to join the team asap, and that he has been pushing himself despite the magnitude of his injury.

For Liverpool, Arteta said saka has not trained at all. Let's wait and see. I just want any of Tomiyasu or Timber to be back for that game. The thought of Partey at RB or Kiwior against Salah is giving me bad feelings NGL

Omo!!! I don’t think that’s the right thing to do. How about cautioning him to be more disciplined.

It’s like saying he doesn’t trust his players to be responsible. Damn! Those guys Don frustrate Arteta be that. 😂

As for Calafiori, I don’t know who is more rash between him and Timber. The ball he had, a simple pass could have saved us a lot of trouble. Thank God they did not score.

I hope he was subbed for precautionary reasons.

I will say it again, I miss Saka and Odegaard, let them do and come back jare.

Rice has also declined.

Partey is also coming back to form from what I noticed.
See, we need to realize these guys are not kids. We might continue to berate the coach for all we care but I want to believe the players are mentally matured to differentiate between what is right and what is wrong in different circumstances.

Yea... Calafiori is rash and always take risky decisions. That's how he usually plays. I doubt his substitution was precautionary. Arteta said it looked bad.

As for Rice, I think the instability around him might be affecting his performance. Moreso, that LW is not just his position.

you don't luck your way to a 5-2 comeback. They won because they were better tactically in the second half.
Verily verily I say unto you, if City was the one who came back and won 5-2 yesterday, he wouldn't credit the winning to luck.

Make una no worry, Arteta said we will fly against Liverpool. grin grin

Our available defenders for that match are White, Kiwior, Myles, Zinchenko and Gabriel. It is either Kiwior starts of Partey moves to RB. A very stern test for Myles who will likely be marking Mo Salah.

Saka may definitely not be fit before Sunday so Sterling should get the nod. Ethan as a #10 and Havertz up top.

I agree with you.
My concerns are what happened to Ben White?

Partey was doing just fine in the midfield.

And Trosaard has switched off for the last 3 matches.

It could be fatigue. Anyway, I hope to see how Arteta turns this around with Liverpool.
Arteta said he took him out to prevent another red card. That Calafiori's injury worries me. All he needed to do was to make a simple pass. The first time he injured same knee, he was doing knee sliding and kinda snap something.

This started last year immediately after our game against Newcastle where we lost 1 zero on a very dubious game. Arteta outburst calling out the officials created this and it will be difficult for Arteta to win any major trophy in England even if he leaves Arsenal except Howard Web and his team are buddle out.
You know ball bro. You're a keen observer. Since he called them out, we automatically became a target. It probably has to do with ego or pride.
Could be why we have stopped appealing any red card offence. Make we no jump from frying pan to fire.

That principalities and powers are the major issue lol. So suppose to know how to come clean.

Yesterday , Bournemouth play was kicking the ball and even stopped Trossard from resuming play immediately guess what, referee was no where around.

Same Saliba incident happened today Liverpool vs Chelsea but what happened no red card.

Nothing irk me than those useless apologies.

But we have our own fault too, like I said from the beginning it was all shade of wrong. Raya need to wake up, he is becoming too confident Infact he was a major culprit yesterday will slowing the game everytime
When you see how every calls seem to go against you, you just need to try all your best not to give those officials excuse. The players no dey ever learn.

The goalkeeper impediment rule that was made because of Ben White theatrics, Bernardo Silva did it against Wolves yesterday which resulted to a goal. The goal was given.

The offence Rice and Trossard were penalized for, I counted more than 20 this weekend alone and all went unpunished.

Infact, it is not until Arteta speaks to them before they adjust. Just play your ball and try as much as possible to shun unnecessary penalization. If opponent kicks you, roll well on the ground, infact shout make the stadium shake.

I get your point, but under the rules governing the VSR system being used at the tournament, only goals (or incidents leading to goals) and straight red cards trigger an automatic review by the referee. Anything else, such as penalty appeals, have to be challenged/petitioned by the concerned team..
Ok bro..

Aside 19 teams, you're competing against principalities and powers yet Arsenal is losing points anyhow.

If not for his injury woes, Romeo Lavia is a gem. A younger Thomas Partey

It was Coach Olowokeere’s job to call for a challenge with regard to those potential penalties. But I guess he didn’t want to be left with just one challenge..

But some fans wanted the aged Partey to play CB or RB yesterday . The same Partey we all have been clamoring Arteta not to use in defence ever again. The way those Bournemouth fast and physical attackers go take rush am ehn…..

Whether we like it or not, all the matches we’ve lost points this season have been due to our players getting red carded through indiscipline . The surest way to get us out of this mess is for the management team to talk to the players to avoid those red card incidents as much as they can. We need to show discipline , we cannot be swallowing red cards every match and expect 10 men to always triumph over 11 men. That’s like hoping for miracles. At game week 8 , we already have 3 red cards in 3 different matches .

Indiscipline will be our bane this season if we don’t watch it.

Our Fullbacks too are always copping useless yellow cards for wasting time taking rubbish throws. These are the areas we should be tackling Arteta’s team and not just be forming narratives in our head just to show we are not Arteta’s fan no matter what he does
Fans will always know best until they get to sit in the dugout. And yes, discipline is important at this stage. White has been getting unnecessary yellow card for time wasting since two seasons ago yet there has been no changes on his part. Even though VAR and refs have played a crucial role but we need to stop playing into their hands. The Saliba I know would have calmly dealt with such situation yesterday even without that guy getting a shot on target.

I saw their faces after that Everton match last season. Some were almost at the verge of tears. We're in new season now with a clean sheet but they have started playing rubbish. It is well sha.

Saliba's red card did more damage than a lot of fans think taking the Liverpool game into context.
I was looking forward to having Timber (if Tomi is not fit) at LB to neutralize Salah. But now we will be forced to play Calafiori which to me is very very risky. The other option is to play either Rice or Partey in defence which is a big No!

We won yesterday so it didn't matter but on the day it matters, I pray the God of football favour us.

I counted like 3 blatant penalty that we were denied in the first half. The incidences were not even reviewed. But the ref had no issue spending minutes watching replays of incidences that were not decisive.

One thing I'm sure of is that Dominican republic or any other American country would have been awarded at least three penalties in the first half alone assuming reverse was the case.

Arteta has a problem with Trust
See how Nwaneri played when he came on but baba preferred to put him on bench

My question is when will the boy be given the opportunity to prove he’s capable, Ordegarrd is not around, this is the time to give him the chance, is it when our captain returns he’ll decide to give the boy his chance cause I’m not understanding this

One sure thing is the boy can’t bench Ordegarrd.

Gabriel is a good captain
I wouldn't say he lacks trust. I think he is sometimes too cautious. I said it that he will rarely play Ethan when the midfield is disjointed or when the stake (pressure) is high.

Even, he himself admitted that Ethan is ahead of the plan due to his displays this season.

Sterling starting too shows how deep we've fallen in choices. When you think it.
If you were the coach, you would be starting Sterling every match day. And your instruction would be just run enter the box and win penalty
