Spy360: You dey compare 16yo Yamal that is still growing?
Bros, if there was a way to bulk up Vieira to become like Adama Traore e for don happen since. What I am saying is that nutrition and exercise can add 10-20kg max. If you are 60kg it will take you to 80max with serious effort o. To play football at top level you have to be about 100kg.
I am a science man myself. I live in a lab. So I cannot underestimate science. Arteta and Edu specifically stated they don't want Vieira to bulk up. I posted the news here sometimes back. The reasons he has not really find his spot here is due to his recent injuries and the fact that he has not really shown any spark in training. There has been a noticeable change in Yamal since he made his debut bro. Diet definitely contributed to this. |

Spy360: For me Duberry is foolish to leave. I mean there is a big hole in the team (a backup for Saka) that has not been filled and the club may be considering him and yet he wants to leave. Mumu. Where will he go self? Highest he will join Forrest and after two seasons max they will be relegated. Saka that they are envying had to start at left back.
Arsenal that can afford a 50m backup will not miss him at all. He is not foolish please. If Duberry is my brother, I would give him the same advice. He has two wingers ahead of him and Arsenal is still being linked to another winger. Maybe he should have waited a bit but I wouldn't call him foolish for leaving. Just that he should have signed a new contract and request for a loan move. At least build something on loan and find a good club to join. |

No matter how you look at it finidi caused this mess. Yes osihmen response wasn't pretty but the press was making merry of that issue.its enough to make him angry. Or you think if osihmen lied he would care? Even most of us here nailed osimhen before his rants on social media. You will not tell me that Finidi didn't see those statements on papers. And let me clarify that most people condemning Osimhen are actually concerned about his brand and status rather than whatever issue he had with Finidi.

Spy360: The likes of Nelson, Trossard, Kiwior, etc needed playing time. Others like ESR, Partey, Jesus that got injured and recovered needed playing time to gain full fitness. The team itself needed more minutes to blend with each other. There was no way Arteta was going to leave all these for academy players that don't want to wait for their time. Very soon now after the Euros, clubs will begin preseason training and friendlies. That's a good time to prove to the manager that he can be a good backup.
Forget some of these academy players know that they can't challenge the senior boys and so may want to leave. If they believe in themselves let them stay and convince the coach. No matter how stubborn you think the Coach is, one day he will need you and call you to warm up. That's how Trossard started seeing games ahead of Martinelli and Kiwior ahead of Zinchenko etc. Even Deschamps had no choice but to invite Saliba even if it means playing him out of his usual position. Dubbery and Ethan were regularly training with the senior team this past season. Duberry was attached to Saka and Ethan was attached to Odegaard. Reason why it seemed Ethan and Ode played similarly when the former came as sub against WestHam. That should convey some intent right? Dubbery did the right thing by moving on. I wish him well in his career. |

Jodera: Lmaoo... I once listened to a podcast of Kevin Prince Boateng that once played for Barca. He said he pitied youngsters of Barca during his time especially those who wanted to break into the first team. That Messi would just do basic training routines without putting much work and can eat what he wants and if you give him the ball, Viola!, that's how he'll be dribbling everybody like cones Malcom and Dembele were looking at Messi and doing like that(that is not putting much effort in training even though they're very talented) and it's sure it's the reason they haven't reached the height people expect from them.
He went on to say as a footballer, he loves Messi more than Ronaldo and believes Messi is better than him but he'll advise any young player who wants to make it in football (both in consistency and fitness) to look at Ronaldo cos Messi is a very bad model in that aspect.
And if you look at it, it's true. Check all the players who their football idol are Cr7— Like footballers who strictly follow Cr7's discipline to a large extent, they hardly go injury. From Mbappe to Saka to Haaland (these are 3 that I've read their story and can remember off my head for now). Hardly you'll hear any of these guys having recurrent injuries or one kinda long lay offs consistently. No be jazz dem dey use.
If you look at Cr7 nutrition you go run Evra said he once visited his home and that's the last time he'll ever visit it. No wines, no drinks. Chicken that he was served was just plain boiled white chicken (ie, it wasn't spiced or sauced at all. Just boiled in hot water and brought out) And immediately he finished eating, Ronaldo said they should go and train sharp sharp in his backyard. And worst part is that they were just returning from match not too long ago and he just wanted to relax in Ronaldo's place
Like Ronaldo once said, "Everybody wants to be like me and it's easy. Just do what I do with discipline and consistency".
But sadly only few people can do what he does consistently. You don finish work Honourable. This is why Messi is an alien. Tactic o, fitness o, gym o... nothing concern Baba with all these things. Ronaldo is really good in that aspect. I like how he is building his young boy. |

Spy360: Everyone is against academy players leaving. The question is how is it Arteta's fault?
Is he the one coaching the academy? Or is he the one fixing contracts for the players?
Last season most of our bench players hardly got playing time because we exited both the FA cup and the Carabao cups early. Or you want him to play academy in a PL or CL match? When there are other senior players (both those in bench and returning from injury) that haven't seen enough minutes? Gbam! That's the point o. Jo.de.ra said something about having strong and reliable bench for next season. I don't see how promoting academy players who are untested will help us achieve this. |

There are four wingers for two positions and we're still been linked to another wingers. In a less important match, the backups will need game time too, to stay sharp.
We crashed out to Liverpool in the carabao last season even with backups. In a match like this, how do you think these youngsters will perform?

TheGoodJoe: Thanks for the post but it is just someone typing jargons. No disrespect to him. I will explain why.
He is telling us Spain is ditching the possession game, but telling us in their last 136 games, Spain has been a possession dominant team.
What he could not see was De La Fuente was also among the coaches that achieved that possession dominance for Spain.
Another, he said Lamine Yamal is one of the bright spots that has come out of ditching possession football.
Is that not a joke? Lamine Yamal is from Barcelona La Masia Academy. Groomed in the art of possession play. In club football, Xavi Hernandez who is a possession heavy master coach, gave Lamine his breakthrough.
So when did Spain ditch Tiki Taka? That is a hilarious point. Was De La Fuente not a possession heavy coach while he coached the youth ranks of Spain?
So now Spain won the possession game against Italy, will we say that Spain has picked the possession game? Calm down abeg. Xavi was brought up with tikitaka but he didn't play any possession football when he was coaching Barca. That Yamal came from La Masia doesn't mean he plays tikitaka. Fermin Lopez is another breakout kid under Xavi and that boy doesn't entertain any tikitaka nonsense. |

Jodera: It's so sad. I also think all these fragile players needs to watch their diet cos I don't believe in this time, age and invention, one's body won't be "built for sport".
One of the reasons Saka says he's durable is because he cut(completely stopped) eating pizza, Sugars (like Cakes, fizzy drinks and all) and also careful with the kind of food he takes.
Ronaldo lasting in the game for long too is the most popular example and inspiration about dieting. Most of these players should imbibe these into their sporting lives. I know it won't be easy but it's the sacrifice they need to make at least to last in the game.
If na person like Partey wey don old, it's understandable but not Prime Tierney. It's just so sad he's always breaking down recurrently, I just hope he does something about it. Excellent point. Let me add that recovery time is also important. I read a report days ago where it was stated that Saka take recovery time serious. Like as soon as he got to the camp, he went to check out the recovery room, gym and other necessary accessories he will need for his recovery. He is also the last to leave after training session (at Arsenal) |
