TheGoodJoe: But actually, you are actually right. Guardiola's success is a lot hinged on how fantastic his players are but a lot has to do with the system.
Most of our players need their teammates in sync with the system to flourish. A lot of our players performances comes from combined efforts.
So it is likely they won't be stellar on an individual capacity. Which is a big disadvantage. So why have you been arguing since? |

Jodera: Foden in wings is wash and that's what I believe have been affecting him in England so far.
Rice, Bellingham and an Advanced Foden ought to work while Palmer can be a deputy for Foden. Palmer is good but then he should work for it. He hasn't even been tried in England set-up yet for him to just waltz into the first 11 like that.
They have enough wingers already for them to start forcing Foden there Foden actually plays more as a winger than a midfielder for City. Baba just flopped for that match ni jare. Maybe he is more comfortable on the right than on the left. Playing him in the middle will affect the other part of the team especially when you consider there is no Rodri or Benardo in the England team to give the team the required control. |

Could the now rampant endemic football be the reason why City players are flopping? IMO, the mode of creating a specific system has eliminated players' individual quality. The implication of this is that they usually look ordinary outside this system. I'm not concluding yet sha...let's wait for next round of matches. |

Brown Ideye made a lot of sense. Meanwhile, I go like know who among the players was drinking and smoking before those matches.
On Amunike, I'll like to know exactly why they're avoiding him even with the dire situation of our quest for WC ticket. |

Jodera: Lol... Southgate hands are hooked He must start Bellingham and Foden. No "IF" or "OR".
He can still work with them Sha. 4231 with Foden as Am and Bellingham as box to box.
They need to win this Euros and they must oo This is where the issue lies. A serious coach will go for balance over name. That is why England no dey win anything. Rice and Mainoo will give them that midfield control. Infact, I think I'll go for Palmer ahead of Foden. Let Foden battle with the wingers. |

Jodera: Rice suffered ystdy and he really tried. He stopped so many threatening attacks either by interception or tackles. But e come reach time for 2nd half Dem come dribble him life. Bellingham too tried defensively and gave his all but at some point, he started being overconfident and start playing "cruise" game which hurt England. Arnold own na to deh throw pass. Aside the tackle which led to Walker chance(that the latter missed), he was almost just anon throughout.
Rice, Bellingham, Foden is the real deal in midfield. Foden should be allowed to Roam.
Anyways Sha na first match and it's good they won it. No cause for alarm yet from my ends Foden, Rice and Mainoo should be starting in midfield but Southgate knows better. If France or Germany catch this England team eh... |

The call for Kelechi Nwakali is simply because of how atrocious our build up plays have been for a long time.
Make suggestions on fixing our midfield than accusations. What makes it a false accusation? Can you vouch for others the way you do for yourself? |

Even though, they lost today, they're building towards something great and very soon, the results will start showing. Long term plan is what matters. Tikitaka is the basis of long term development in football and Ukraine are on the right path'. |

Deltamani: Don’t think Kiera Walsh will leave, but with Alexia returning to form the Barcelona Midfield might return to the trio of Patri, Alexia and Aitana.
Walsh is a very Calm DM who already have that Barca DNA in her it would be hard to let her go, At the end Minutes will be shared as they’re all World Class players.. Alexia might not accept that coming from the Bench role as she’s one of the biggest face of Barca and Spain if not the Biggest..
Walsh is Primarily England no.1 player in Midfield who hold both Defense and the midfield together, Meeen is hard the Coaches should deal with that as All Big team would want to have any of Barca top 4 Midfielders right away.. Well said... I just think Walsh may not want to share minutes. Moreso, from the report, it seems she prefers a return to her country. |

TheGoodJoe: Why down this Amunike's talk?
The licenses is not the only the only thing. Amunike's licenses show humility to learn, dedication to challenges and passion for knowledge.
His work with the 2015 U17 was also brilliant.
His coaching tactics were so brilliant that FIFA technical committee (a team of quality coaches) met his to expatiate his ideas for them.
His resistance to pressure due to mismanagement of the NFF. The report of the players wanting to go on strike in the Semi finals of the U17 and the report of Amunike's speech that rattled them to perform.
The kind of football his U20 side played that had them winning games in style and brilliance was eye catching. Which led to them playing over 50 games and only lose once. Enough of this pity talk please. Maresca left City academy to manage Leceister, now he is Chelsea's coach. Same thing with Kompany. To be specific, both tasted the coaching waters before getting the big job. The U17 and U20 stint you're bringing here is irrelevant. He is not the first neither is he the last. That he was invited by FIFA, CAF and SWAT is just a one-time achievement. He has failed to show why he was invited in the first place. Finidi fumbled, yes but one factor that placed him ahead of Amunike then was not the coaching license but because he was active. Like he was JPes assistant and at the same time managing Enyimba. For instance, Bala is a data analyst but he only boasts of a single certificate. However, he practises regularly and uploads his works on GitHub. Now, Bade has different certificates in data analysis including Msc. However, he has no recent project to show his skills. Who do you think Client would favour? This is real life bro... |

Me, as long as he played the match then he's their player. I would have understood if he didn't play at all or he came in at the last 5 min.
Anyways, it's over. Make Saka (and Rice) just come back to arsenal with that cup. I'm rooting for them like say na Nigeria/Arsenal dem be The two people that stand between England and this Euro cup are Southgate and Kane (sorry lol). |

Jodera: Lol, one thing with agenda and media(esp social media) is that you will only see what they want you to see.
If somebody didn't gather all those four pictures together you pasted that day, you won't see it as anything. On a solo pix, you'll just see it as England lost a match (with Saka representing England as a player). You'll look at Saka as an England player and not as a "black" player that's being hounded (what they're manipulating you to see). And Tbh, those people who did that got the necessary reaction they wanted (all thanks to social media).
Never for once have I looked at a footballer's normal pix on a cover page(esp a popular player at that) and it screams racism — especially when there's no name-calling on the player, no funny gestures, headlines or narratives attacking such player.
To me it just feels cheap attention.
This isn't the first time that Saka will be on a cover page (Win or lose) and ystdy just give further credence to that To be very honest, I wouldn't have batted an eyelid even with those four pictures had it been Saka played that full game. Well..na them sabi. One thing I know is Saka is mentally matured to face whatever may come his way. |

Jodera: Like I earlier said, this thing is overblown. Everyone knows Saka is their starboy
Mostob, see that same Telegraph that put on Saka's picture when England lost against Iceland. Same Telegraph put on his picture when they won(even though he didn't score).
All these things no be new things. Na people just wan bring racism card into this stuff that day.
Nb: I promised you that I would try and bring a picture when they win without him scoring yet he'll still be their posterboy. That's me doing just that. I'll drop my pen on this matter hereon. What if the backlash they received the last time reset their brain? Mind you, there were people all over the social media that disapproved that post. I could have shared screenshots that time. They did well this time sha. |
