Jodera: Like I earlier said, this thing is overblown. Everyone knows Saka is their starboy
Mostob, see that same Telegraph that put on Saka's picture when England lost against Iceland. Same Telegraph put on his picture when they won(even though he didn't score).
All these things no be new things. Na people just wan bring racism card into this stuff that day.
Nb: I promised you that I would try and bring a picture when they win without him scoring yet he'll still be their posterboy. That's me doing just that. I'll drop my pen on this matter hereon.
What if the backlash they received the last time reset their brain? Mind you, there were people all over the social media that disapproved that post. I could have shared screenshots that time. They did well this time sha.
TheGoodJoe: The question is simple, why did you guys prefer Finidi when experience wise and qualification wise, Amunike was superior. That is the simple point.
Someone can prefer Kompany because he was City captain and privileged to Pep ideologies.
So what is the reason of preferring Finidi.
It is not about Finidi or Amunike. It is about coaching badge.
TheGoodJoe: Then imagine how awful it is without badges.
So, does that mean anybody can coach without prior experience or whatever as long as the person has a coaching badge?
There was a news about Kompany not having the required qualifications before taking that Anderlect job. Why did they give him the job when there were coaches with superior badges available?
The tactics and football Ideologies from Pep, were they as a result of his coaching badge or personal prowess?
Mujtahida: The point is not the badge. Omo, see your reasoning. They had the badge. But more important than the badge is the fact that they did it.
What badge did Arigo Sacchi had. All the great coaches who gave us great football, which UEFA badge did they have? Even your famed tiki taka master mind, Johan Cruyff, please tell me what his badges are. Oya answer Cruyff
Theories don full your head.
Neville has a coaching badge but we know how it ended with Valencia. Rooney, Gerard and Lampard are examples too.
Jodera: Lol... So are you saying Martinelli would be Saka's deputy?
Woww... Not bad if this is true but it's unexpected. Anyways, since it's like that, Arteta should use the opportunity to try and promote Dem duberry and Nwaneri. Him no really rate Carabao cup thus make him try Dem for there
That was from what I observed towards the end of last season o, I'm not the coach. Nwaneri is a midfielder, not a winger. Duberry? Heard he is leaving.
daveP: Shebi na Olowookere dey coach dem? He's more like a handler than a tactician. Dun why ex falcon players are staying away from this jobs sincerely. Maybe it's see finish. Yet...
Na those NFF people now. I doubt Danjuma and Olowookere have any coaching License sef. Like you said, they're just handlers.
It is about time we start holding some players accountable too... you no fit play like Ronaldo for your club and come play like Okpotu for the national team.
Bassey, Ndidi, Ajayi and Moffi (that missed chances) have no excuse whatsoever for their woeful performance in that two matches.
Note please... Read wetin I type above again and again.
Osimhen is one player nobody can question his determination and patriotism. However, he was wrong for doing that live video. He might make another one to publicly apologize sha. He is a professional and all these 'portable' behaviours don't befit him. Even, if he wanted to go live at all, he should have restricted his talks to why he couldn't make it for the qualifiers. Attacking Finidi is just irrational.
Finidi is just grasping for straws. He should be sacked ASAP abeg. We have the resources to win both games but he is trying to pile in the blame on the players. I mean you have a large pool of players to choose from yet your team list was disjointed.
This man needs help abeg. And I was thinking tactics is his only downfall.
mank1234: When student don't like a teacher, they skip class. If it's true, the blame is to NFF, they should consult top players when they want to hire. Two cannot work except they agree.
So you want the NFF to consult the players before hiring a coach? Like they should ask the like of Osimhen and Ekong before hiring a coach? And you're part of people blaming NFF o...chei
Officiating in Africa is just so disgraceful. Super eagles were denied a clear penalty against South Africa. Now, the U17 girls were denied two good goals too. Congratulations to the girls. They did well but could have done better. Don't let me even get started with the whole coaching stuff because it is needless but this team is capable of so much more with a good coaching.
Jodera: Wing strikers is even better cos they can do two Jobs (incase of injury, they can fit in). But then Isak is a no go area. Na Newcastle posterboy be that
Tbh, I'm more concerned about us getting Saka deputy and beefing up quality squad depth than us getting a striker
Yea... They can fill in on the wing as well as up front. I think I read somewhere that Newcastle needs to sell before they can buy.
We might be seeing Martinelli on the right more often next season. With Jesus deputising on the left for Trossard.
Jodera: Lol, experience shouldn't be a problem na. This guy have been in top flight football for how many years now. It's not as if we're buying one greenhorn from Africa or far east Europe.
Anyways, let's just see wetin Arteta and Edu go get for us. Las Las, we fit no buy any Striker sef
Jodera: Lol, I have highlighted the difference between Solanke and Nketiah earlier. If there's any of the difference you feel is false, let me know
See ehn, Strikers hard for market. The worst part is that most of the Strikers we're being linked to (or most of us even want) and technically "one season wonders" too if we look am well. From Sesko, to Dovybk to Gyokeres. Aside Osimhen who isn't a one season wonder, which other Striker are in the market (and young) aside from those first three?
We need to make our own "striker" and what we need is someone who has the needed attributes and that's exactly what I listed earlier. Game changing and influence will come automatically with game time and confidence as long as the said player has the mentality.
I believe Solanke has Matured enough.
But then, it's my opinion tho
Your differences are spot on. What about experience? Experience matters a lot especially as he will be featuring for us in UCL. Solanke ain't different from Nketiah jare.
And yes, the striker market may be scanty but I trust Arteta and Edu to find a suitable one for us.
Amunike may be better qualified but there is no guarantee whatsoever that he would perform well. He was in that coaching team for the Ghana double header and we saw how everything turned out. Enough with the Amunike agenda.
What is the difference between Solanke and Nketiah? Both are too 4 strikers at most. We don't just need anyhow striker but the one that can improve and raise the mentality level of the team. A game changer that can influence a game singlehandedly.
