On this Jorginho matter, I already expected all these. One reason why I was against his signing then was because he was never a DM. At Chelsea, he had Kanye mopping up his lapses but Arteta is trying to play him as a lone DM here. It is never going to work. |

Jodera: I don't need to bring stats or whatever on ball wey we both watch not too long ago.
Even all rating sites gave ESR a very high rating(different sites o) and Havertz was the poorest in all the whole site amongst our first 11. I guess they're all so bias against Havertz and love Smith Rowe(and others too)
Moreover, I dunno which backlash you want us to give ESR when he hardly plays any match. Match he started, played well and gave assist is whom you want us to give backlash to? Na wa ooo
You sef know say everybody dey receive backlash for here if you no perform whether you be favourite or not.(Martinelli, Saka are even examples)
If Havertz is receiving Backlash consistently, then it just means he's not doing something right. Let him do something right and let it be obvious, even his strongest critics will surely acknowledge him.. If you are in doubt just look at Sod with Rice Why bringing Havertz into this again? I mentioned Nelson too in my post just in case you forgot. I'm not disputing the fact that Havertz has not really been impressive. My point is what exactly are the other bench players playing? The ESR you're referring to here is the one we all watched two seasons ago. Someone who benched Martinelli FFS. If his performance last weekend was impressive to you, then you're just being bias. Fact is none of them turned up...Nelson o, ESR, Havertz, Jorginho, Kiwior but na only Havertz we dey talk here. As for the bolded, the backlash has a lot to do with what the media is feeding us and his Chelsea reputation. That's not to say he is not without one or two stinkers since he arrived here though. |

Spy360: Your problem is that you are still stuck with '90s football.
These days the idea of positional play has moved from the traditional methods where you think the no 9 has to be the goal scorer or the no 2 is a fullback and has to run along the touch line. You need to look at what a player is told to do and how he goes about doing it.
I have said that while Jorginho and Partey are both DMs, their roles differ. Jorginho is usually asked to drop in to the back three when we play from the back. He positions himself on the RCD during buildup. His role is basically to transit the ball around the back three. This is unlike Partey who is more like a play maker from deep apart from his defensive duties. If you are thinking Jorginho will e making defense splitting passes from deep who will wait for years because that is not his playing pattern. You are right and wrong at the same time. Yea, both Partey and Jorginho differs. Partey do drop at the CB too. The difference is that Partey like to hold the middle. You won't find him at the wing or ahead of the middle circle during buildup. Jorginho likes to roam to create fluidity which exactly is his main issue. He is not always there whenever you need him. Partey would still stay and secure the box during counter attack but Jorginho will approach the ball carrier instead. That's the difference between the two. |

Let me add that Jorginho did his bit yesterday. I am one of his critics here but we need to say the truth at times.
And I don't see how any of the goals were his fault. Our attack let us down yesterday. Shoot? No... Cross? No.
Just passing aimlessly around. |

daveP: Trust the process But never ever trust Arteta's thinking process. It's warped.
Arteta trusts Harvest and Jorg but can't trust Nelson and Patino?? Lol Na wa o...we lose, Havertz, we draw, Havertz, We won, Havertz. Now tell me exactly what Nelson did yesterday. Almost everybody here agreed Patino was too fragile and raw to play in EPL. We are all too fixated on Havertz that we didn't notice the stinkers other players are dropping every week. ESR that played last weekend, aside his 6 yard assist, what exactly did he do? Martinelli was brought in to change the game but baba kept doing backpass. The earlier you all realize Havertz is not our main issue, the better. Make una leave the guy alone. |

However, other activities have to commence before the real voting. I believe that many of us here have one or two things we are doing that keeps us busy at times, so there will be no hurry. Bonou, Morocco and Walid might just grab the most popular ones.

Play in a 4213 set up but attack in a 532 format, with 2 defenders left behind in case of any counter against us. As it stands, the middle has just the exact personnel to play that. Na the manager kon be the crux. For now, one can only dream. 532 is a defensive formation. And if you're talking about 352, that means one of the FBs need to invert or go wide. I don't think we are there yet. |

Former-Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has revealed Eddie Nketiah messaged him for shooting tips ahead of this season.
Defore said he was impressed with the 24-year-old’s willingness to learn and so he helped him on his finishing and movement inside the box, despite the North London rivalry.
Defoe on Nketiah: “I thought you know what, I like that because that’s a young centre forward that wants to try and get as much from other players that have played the game in that position as he can. Someone who wants to learn.”

Enrique never wanted to make him the first choice keeper over Bravo until Ter Spastic ran to the media to cry.(Major reason why he's a media darling and is never criticized)
Every member of the old guard has called out Ter Stegen for being a horrendous goal keeper
He had beef with Suarez cause Suarez called him shït to his face.
He had beef with Messi cause Messi also called him shït to his face.
This man must be licking off the wife of the Kng of Spain for him to still be employed by Barcelona.

BykeLaByke: This was last year...
Every team knows Barca has a shïte goal keeper except Barcelona themselves. Every goalkeeper have their weaker side. For right-handed GKs, their weaker side is always to their left. Even, if you placed a curler to their left, they will punch it with thir right hand. That doesn't make them sh*t. It is just a natural issue. That said, Every goalies do pass through a purple patch. Rrmind me how many clean sheets were kept by ATS last season. What of the countless number of times he has bailed us out? |
