Roland17: Thank you for sharing that link and it is good to see a former ref be clear about that incident because there was no excuse for not giving Kova a 2nd yellow. If it was Arsenal he wouldn’t hesitate in pulling the 2nd yellow.
In the Westham v Newcastle game, Emerson got a yellow for gesturing a card towards the ref after Guimares tackled him.
Few minutes later, Almiron of Newcastle gestured to the ref to issue a yellow after he was tackled but the ref did not issue Almiron a yellow for committing the same offense as Emerson! He was the same ref who gave Martinelli 2 yellow cards in the same sequence of play two seasons back. Heard the owner of City invited him to come and officiate a match in UAE. Baba no just wan vex his pay master yesterday ni. |

He also has a better recovery in case of counter attack. |

TheGoodJoe: Without chance creations, control or the others, goals will not come. The most important player is the one that makes all the other players perform better and also do his own role well. If the goal scorer doesn't convert the chances, all the efforts of the team would be a waste. That's the simple logic. |

TheGoodJoe: In a possessive side, the player thatakes the team ticks possessively, is also very key. It is the essence of the pattern. I'm not disputing this. My point is that goals get the points at the end of the day and whichever player that guarantees these goals is the most important. All these chances creation, possessions, key passes are means to an end. Without goals, they're useless. |

Mujtahida: And then rate Osimhen a goalscorer ahead of Kvara. That's the argument Kog45 is hung on.
One day this thread will be move on from this ceaseless Nwakali debates Exactly..like how is that logical? The most important thing on the field are goals.. and the player who guarantee goals are very important for a team. Haaland/ KDB is another example |

daveP: He had space. I can drop 12 seconds clip link to prove my point. But his next reaction was good.
I'll still stand on my opinion that he should not be starting games. Best as a sub. And Ake would have stood and watch him turn before shooting right? The ball was in the air FFS. It was a 2 vs 4 situation with a free Martinelli... why shooting at such a difficult situation instead of laying the ball for Martinelli? He did what 99.9% of players would do at such situation. As for your opinion, don't bank on it because he is going to start a lot of games for us. |

BlueRayDick: Jesus really tried today , he gave Gvardiol serious headache all through the game .
Most times Jesus cuts the ball back to the middle after getting past Gvardiol , he just needs the DM to play a blinding shot but Jorginho will turn the ball back to the defenders . I’m sure Partey in that hole for most of the game would’ve played couple of shots instead of Jorginho who kept on playing safe This is where ESR comes in especially if the ball is coming from the right. |
