The injuries keep stacking up, and it’s obviously far from ideal, yet I look at all our possibly lineups and go 'this is actually really good.'

The kid’s are saving us big time, man. Would’ve never expected the likes of Fermin Lopez and Lamine Yamal to be this ready, this fast. Gavi also shipping in like an experienced veteran. Hard to remember he's only just 18.
The kids have been there for us. I just pray for injury-free career for them. Bunch of talents.

De Jong and Pedri should be back asap so Gavi can have his rest. Man has been playing like someone possessed in the last 3 games or so.

Xavi and the club need to take La Masia serious. I was watching Gavi and Fermin toying with Sevilla's Midfield yesterday and my heart was giving glory to God. grin grin grin
I know Torre didn't come from La masia but I really don't like how Xavi didn't give the guy chance last season.

Yamal? Anytime he gets the ball, he usually makes something happened. And the nutritionist and medical staff should try to bulk him up a bit. Even if it means importing Akpu and Okpa from Nigeria.

Enough of 'catch them young' wey we dey do. We need to look inward at times.

So who will play DM today ? Is it Elneny or Jorginho since it appears Rice and Partey are both out…..

Chai! A slow Jorginho facing those fast Bournemouth players again
Saliba, Saka and Rice traveled with the squad so I think Rice will start. And if he doesn't, Jorginho will surely start. We just have to take our chances. .that's all.

We just need to be decisive at the final third. We have been unlucky not to be ahead so far in the first half.

BTW I understand not frequently passing to Yamal because of his fragility but we need to use his wing the more especially when he is in the box.

Man takes a lot of risk that do help us beat the press so it is expected if he loses the ball once in a while.

Lol, that's what we'll mostly see when gavi plays in his best position as a left or right sided interior midfielder not the pseudo false left winger he had to be shifted to due to our change in tactics, E just be say competition too dey and FDJ can't play as a lone CDM which would have made us see him there regularly from time to time
Deep down, I like his agbero attitude. That will show all these yeye big players in la liga that you can't just rough him up because he is 19.

I think De Jong can play as a lone midfielder especially against teams that pack the bus. Cancelo inverting and Gavi's ball winning should be able to compensate his lapses.

BTW I'm getting fed up Romeu and Gundogan. Two senior players wey dey play like kids.

I am not disrespecting our players. They should keep improving like Samuel Chukwueze is doing now.
Nobody said they shouldn't improve. What you said about Balikis been better than all our wingers since he is benching Ejuke at Antwerp is actually a disrespectful statement. TBH, I had to check your moniker again because that doesn't look like something you would type.

So changing keeper in some opening fixtures is pushing?
Moreover, as ramsdale commit any error this season
So how can both push theirselves if one is permanently benched. The errors he committed last season are enough already for Arteta to justify benching him for Raya.

Let's not forget Raya has been Arteta's preferred goalkeeper before we signed Ramsdale.

Both are really great goalkeeper. Ramsdale still remain one of the best in the league but I don't see how Arteta has pressed a self-destruct button by playing Raya over him.

Michel Balikwisha is Belgian Under 21 player for God sake.
Very laughable sir... Imagine the extent he went just to back up his agenda.

And it is even more amusing that a youth player is the one keeping Ejuke away from starting lineup.

Meliforme:
Ejuke brings more passing skills to his game.
You can rely on him to help you build up plays. I have seen him switch plays with diagonal long balls to help his teammates out of tight situations.

Ejuke contributes more to defense.

Ejuke sits on the bench because the Belgian international who starts in his stead is a better player, and better than all the wingers that we have. Decision making, passing, contributions to defense, Michel Balikwisha towers over all that we have on the wings.

Ejuke meagre minutes in Antwerp's colours have seen him defending more and this is good for his development. I pray he learns and improves the more.

Ademola Lookman is not a better winger than Chidera Ejuke. Lookman is just a better goal scorer and that is even arguable. Play Ademola Lookman on the wings in a team that likes to keep possession of the ball, and he won't do much. He is more of a finisher.
Please and please... don't ever disrespect our wingers just because you want to push your Ejuke agenda (which is invalid in the first place). If Ejuke can't even make the matchday squad in Belgium league, he has no business in eagles set up.

Who TF is Balikis? How is he better than Samu and Lookman?

And tell me, which do you prefer between output and keeping possession? At the end of everything, goals and goals are what matter.

Bernd Leno:

"It (changing goalkeepers) has happened (again) after the international break. I was thinking: ‘That’s more or less the same as with me!’

I was thinking about Aaron (Ramsdale), he’s a very good guy. I know how he feels, there are some similarities."

"When I wanted to fight for my place, the goalkeeper coach said, ‘You have to leave the club.’

When he said it wasn’t about performance, I knew straight away I had to leave. I don’t know if they didn’t want two strong keepers."

Bernd Leno on swapping goalkeepers: “As a manager I would never change my goalkeeper, to say, ‘Oh, today I need a goalkeeper good with his feet, or one good at crosses,’ or, ‘Today I need a good shot-stopper because we play against Man City and they will have ten shots or something.’”

Goalkeeper is a special position and should be treated as special, I think. Because you need consistency."

Brighton's Football scouting model focus...A Note

Brighton chief executive Paul Barber: "We try to have players through our door before we need them."

"In an ideal world, you don’t want to be targeting a player right after you’ve sold one in his position, because everybody knows you’ve got money!"

"A lot of work goes into that process of looking at players all over the world."

"The more data there is when it comes to recruiting that player or coach, the better, but there are certain markets where the data is thinner than others."

"The data will be thinner in places where, for example, players have a longer education or don’t feature in as many league games."

"When we’re looking at players from those areas, we combine our research to make sure we’ve got plenty of eyes on scouting and character referencing, to build up a picture as best we can.”

Source: FourFourTwo
This is so apt. I really hope those 'hunters' at Chelsea FC are reading this. This is how you build a squad not the 'poaching' and 'catch them young' approaches Chelsea has been using recently.

tomorrow now base on form another list go drop, naso the circle will continue

.And when Southgate came with his here and now, we all know what will happens next,
It is normal in football especially when there is a large pool of players to choose from. You either choose based on form or based on tactic.

As for Southgate, his theory of here and now was just a cover up. His intent is usually bare for those who have been following him.
