At least, make an effort to get them and if you lose, you lose.
Not that you fold your arms and do nothing, and expect to get the best talent out there - which is the stance Nigeria has adopted all these years and we have paid dearly for it.
No...I disagree. If we make an effort and we lose, it will send a bad message.
I think it should be the other way round, anyone who is interested in playing for us should reach out to us.
The only case where I think we should reach out is if we need (not want) the player because some of them do make ridiculous demands at times.

E nor easy at all...

But the truth is that Wether Foreign Born or Home Based they all deserve equal opportunity to play for Nigeria, but right now we mainly work with the Home grown at the U17 level and like 2 to 3% of the Foreign born too at the U20 level...

Right now am confused as to where Coach Randy Waldrum would play Tony Payne in the Superfalcon starting 11...

He already tried her out in over multiple positions for a Year..

Wing Back, Left Back, Attacking Midfield and as a forward..
I agree....we shouldn't forget there are talents at home toobefore going for the FBs.
As for Tony, I will like her to pair Ajibade in Midfield if only we have a combative (very) DM to hold the mid for them. Ajibade will be more advanced though

We should Kuku drop the whole national team apart from the defense

So Moses Simon should be dropped because we failed to qualify for the World Cup ?
Who is mentioning World cup? Read my reply to forgiveness, you will see my analysis dated back o AFCON.
With the level of performance of Nigerian players this season, nobody should be made comfortable in the NT. Bar Ndidi, I'm not sure anyone is indispensable. The new coach should invite more wingers and if he finds someone better than Simon, nothing bad in dropping Simon for him. In one word, the coach should raise the level of competition in the team.... All this building the team around certain set of players na nonsense. Olayinka,Ejuke, Nwakaeme and others too are not doing bad.

Lately, he has been poor...the last good game he played was against Egypt. We should try more wingers... Olayinka and Ejuke should be given chances too.

She spoke out years ago about playing for Nigeria but we didn't go for her, She's Chiamaka Nnadozie team mate at Paris FC in France, plays as a Left wing but currently as a Left Back for Paris FC
Ok....fact is we can't call everybody. We will get some and at the same time, lose some. A lot of Nigeria eligible players are littered abroad but when you consider the upcoming talents currently I'm our U20 and U17, wetin man go do

Super Eagles’ incoming boss Jose Peseiro has reportedly identified eight players who he will look to build his team around ahead of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) Qualifiers.

With the Nigeria Football Federation set to officially announce the new Super Eagles boss, the Portuguese is believed to be keeping a close eye on the current situation and has plans in place.

According to insiders, Peseiro has already identified a core group of players who he believes he can trust at Super Eagles going forward, and the 62-year-old intends to give young players opportunities too.

Maduka Okoye, whose performances have come under fire in recent times, has been studied by Peseiro in recent weeks and the Portuguese intends to try and get the best out of the Watford bound goalkeeper.

The former Al Ahly boss will try to integrate Ademola Lookman, Akinkunmi Amoo and Calvin Bassey to the national team set up very well.

Others are Moses Simon, Wilfred Ndidi, Joe Aribo and Victor Osimhen.

Peseiro is also committed to give Nigeria Professional Football League stars the chance to shine in his team. Copied from futbalgalore.com.ng

But matter of fact Komekn has nothing against Porto, the fact that a Nigerian made left back aka Zaidu Sanusi is consistently starting games at a supposedly top European club like Porto was giving him sleepless nights, a Nigerian born and bred left back can't possibly be quality, it doesn't make sense, so problem had to be Porto, Porto had to be a useless team, infact so useless it is the equivalence of mid table championship teams.
Hence the Fulham comparisms. grin
The day Sanusi leaves Porto, and Porto signs Fred onyedinma or any of his carpenter init boys, the narrative will change cheesy

Definitely. It is time for Iheanacho to make his final push in growth and I do not think Leicester City or Rodgers can offer him that. It is time for him to make a move. Get to a side that will suit him.

Inasmuch as we need strikers and midfielders...Edu and Arteta should play close attention to our FBs too. Soarez is not solid defensively though he is athletic and Tierney is injury prone too.
I heard there is this Norton-cuffy from U23 though I've never watched him but his physique great for a defender even though I wouldn't judge him with that..Tavarez comes to mind grin ....There is Spence too from Nottingham Forest
I'm currently looking at Cucurella...a perfect Tierney's similario...

Lol, I saw Son goal ystdy, but to me it still doesn't matter. If Tottenham was playing Chelsea, I would have been afraid, but they're playing Liverpool away, who are in crazy form and are also eyeing the league. They both needed the match and Liverpool is at an advantage

If you tell me to pick between the group of Son/kane/kuluveski or Salah/Mane/Jota/Diaz, I know who I'll put my money on.
Well...let's see what happens. If we later qualify for UCL, Xhaka will be breaking a jinx grin

I swear, aboniki balm plus massage. We've been protecting Tomi for months, make that him calf no fall our hand oo.

As for Nketiah, I just believe he was unlucky ystdy especially that his effort from Elneny fine pass. The rest mostly was just lacking enough power which made Fabianski to point it away. But then, once I see accuracy like that, it's just time that Nketiah needs before he'll start hitting the Back of the net frequently. Aside that, I love the way he carve out chances for himself and his movements.(hope spy no go look me bad eye tongue)

Debroslink:
A very big lie. The reason why they did very well is because they are very good. Xavi has been playing for 10 years before Busquets, and 5 years before Iniesta. If you are good, you are good.

Once upon a time, we had up to 7 Dutch players in our 1st 11. Where are the trophies in Barcelona or Netherlands to show for it?
Listen, Barcelona is my second favorite team so I may be wrong about when the trio started playing together but my points has been made. Football is about partnership and synergy..the fact still remain that the three of them playing together for both national team and club was part of their success. Infact, Pique and Puyol is another example.
So if Xavi want to replicate something of such with this Barca team, he should go ahead if that is what will work for him.

For your last paragraph, what worked for the gander may not work for the goose. Nuno's entire first eleven at wolve were almost Portuguese...did Portugal win the world cup during that time frame? No...

Well that position will only make him stronger as a player just like Victor Moses.
The only disadvantage to that position is that he might lose his play making ability; that instinct to create clear cut chances.
Super Eagles only have Joe Aribo & Alex Iwobi to fill that role in the middle
you're right

Imagine what these people would have said then when pep choose busquets ahead of yaya cheesy cheesy

I won’t even talk of Pedro pushing out Henry later
One thing that contributed to the dominance of Busquet-Xavi-Iniesta Midfield is that the trio are Spanish. Playing together for both country and club kinda boost the synergy between them. Xavi as one of these trio understands this which is probably why he is leaning more to a Spanish squad and don't let us forget the language issue too...Emery failed at arsenal because he couldn't communicate properly in English...this Spanish agenda is not yet confirmed anyway....
