Girioud was not a natural scorer when france won the world cup. they even beeat belgium with natural scorers
Firmino is not a natural scorer but won the champions leaguen with liverpool, coutinho and richarlison are not bad. ok o....make Argentina sha carry the cup |

darkelf: Omo, see squad
When you have a squad without fabinho, Marcelo and where ederson cannot make first team. A squad that benches William at Chelsea, then you just know they must be getting some things right with their football. I hop Naija can try to emulate them and get there someday. this squad is good...no doubt but there is no natural goalscorer. |

Icon79: So you think that this is a well coached team? Listen, winning covers up a lot of things but if you can look beyond the win you'd realize that this team still can't do the basics. They leave a lot of spaces once they re not with the ball. Their off the ball movement is close to zero …. all eyes on d ball without watching the opponent free runners, no shape, can't pass, can't shoot, can't defend, and often don't know where their markers are.
Considering that we've been participating in the WWC for the past 20 years or so; one would expect to see some improvements. Was I expecting too much
O pari u are absolutely right bro. You got ur comment spot on. The girls are not performing up to expectations. Korea was the better team today while the SF were not organised at all. But sometimes, how much one yearn for a win can make one enjoy the win and ignore the overall performance. And that is what happens today. I hope they drill theirselves well for france. |

Icon79: Respect what? They are still clueless and shambolic. This result actually flatters them. I mean, they were lucky today (or shall we say, the officiating helped them a lot)
First, our first goal should've been called back but it was allowed to stand. Secondly, the South Korean equalizer was actually good but they ruled it off.
All in all, South Korea was the better team today. They played with more cohesion and created better chances, but they were goal shy.
O pari why should our first goal be called back? Why do u think the korean's equaliser should have stand? Goals win u match not passes. Althouph, today's win should not take away the fact that this team is not performing to expectations. |

BascoVanVeli: Yes I know she was converted to a CB by Dedevbo but that touch and pass was uh la la Okobi in 2015 level. I think there is more about Chidinma to be discovered. She has Oshoala level athleticism. can she play MF.? Something is missing in that MF. |
Sports › Re: Nigeria Female National Teams' Thread by mostob(m): 4:54pm On Jun 12, 2019 |
my take on this match..... I think the coach tactics is spot on only that there are no educational particularly in the MF. Oshoala,Ordega and Kanu are good runners...Desire is excellent at heading and hold-up play. The problems lies on who is gonna feed them the required pass? Okobi has not been good lately and the only person who came close at executing that perfect pass is AJIBADE IMO. so against France, we need to take our chances well...I will line them up like this
....Nnadozie.. .. Okeke....Ebi.......Ohale........Ngozi.. ..... .....Ayinde...Chikwelu... . Oshoala...... ,Ajibade.....Ordega... . ...........Oparanozie... . I wish for Kanu to start but I don't really know who to bench...I might move Oshoala to the center with Kanu (replacing desire) at the wing. The front trio can even interchange at will. And I think we need a young and energetic DM ...the French might be too fast for Chikwelu and Ayinde though. I stand to be corrected |

I have gone through some posts here on how our formation may not suited our 2 best wingers Henry and Samuel. IMO I think we can accommodate both in the same line up even when playing 3 at the back. Both are not defensively solid so this formation might suit them. .......Uzoho....
Ekong.....Balogun....Omeruo...
.Simon....Ndidi....Iwobi/mikel....Aina
..Samuel. ..Onuachu.....Henry.
I pick Onuachu because of his fondness to drop deep which will allow Henry and Samuel to drift inside. The question now is who can create goalscoring chances most?Mikel/Iwobi. this formation can only be effective against teams with blunt attack. I stand to be corrected though |

krattoss: Esperance Sportive De Tunis have refused to replay the CAF Champions League Final. . " We don't want to play. We won the trophy, we took the medals, we were given a go ahead by the officials and we are champions. For the fact that the VAR wasn't there is not our fault. . It's CAF's duty to make sure that everything is perfect. They found out that the VAR wasn't available before the match started but nothing was said. We are not going to play another Final. If CAF or FIFA has a problem with our final decision, let them play their own Final with the referees and VAR”.

Olulong: sorry but I don't totally agree dat Ivory Coast has better players maybe a few excellent players like Zaha, Kessie or Pepe but the rest are just average players but for Senegal they should win this AFCON based on the quality of thier squad Bro quality of player doesn't win games nowadays... quality of teams do. Senegal have got the players but without that team cohesion, they may not live to expectations. |

realpoacher: Its funny how we as humans speak with both sides of our mouth just to get away with our opinions.
You Ms Safari on one hand condemn the words of @mostob here for trying to justify rape.
Whereas in the same breath u justify the crime of false accusations committed by these krashinas.
Isn't it ironic?
So in your mind now, nothing justifies rape but alot of things justify false accusations of rape.
According to @mostob, some women deserves rape due to how they dress, and how loose they are but you jumped in and said that no woman should be raped regardless of their appearance, dressing, or lifestyle. That even if they come to a man naked, without consent, there should be no sex.
Whereas you are saying that men who were falsely accused of rape deserves to be falsely accused because they became intimate with these Jezebels?
So in essence , their false accusations are justified?
All i see here is double standard from the world over towards men
Until the double standards such as this is removed, the world will know no peace Nice point sir. BUT I think you misunderstood my post. I said Indecency sometimes contribute to rape incidence not the way u put it above sir. thanks....Can we just go back to football pls |
